For me, thats a good enough reason on it's own. I just don't want to bang on about a super good team wendy/ops core if you want to do namsoft!

I miss the days of people doing impressions and even the most casual player dressing semi like a soldier.....where have my rose tinted glasses gone!?!?!

I always look for costumes just never find decent ones. Like a good banana one for example.

  2. I bought the cheapest rubbish from Ebay to mount my ex-fog and ear defender on it and it's still goes strong after years of abuse.

It saved my head in certain tunnels multiple times and doesn't matter if people shoot me in the head point blank.

Expensive ones are supposed to be more padded and having better adjustability. And ofc different sizes to choose from.

Have a look I posted pictures not long ago about mine.

  3. I'd very suprised if your impact would go off on a regular basis outdoor. The whole concept is that you need a hard surface to make it work.

I play indoor only but you have to follow multiple rules because that thing is lethal if you yeet it. 🤣

Under arm, defo below waist height, no yeet, preferably you check xy corner/room/etc. before you post it so you don't injure anyone. It's really limited how you can use it even indoor let alone outdoor when you can have massive distances.

I'm not planning on going down the HPA route but I do have a question about it...

I see HPA adaptors for sale in the classifieds, can these simply be connected to a GBBR via the magwell (assuming a tank etc is also attached) & have the GBBR work properly?

Asking because I'm confused as I see HPA connected via the pistol grip & some via the magwell.

    TIA.

Correct. You have to gut a gas magazine for certain bits to able to run it on HPA though.

You could tap each magazine as well but no one does it nowadays it's just not an efficient way to play.

Grip line is an hpa engine.

Whats best though. resolder battery conectors ro mr30 or cut off the mini tamiya from the gun adapter and solder a deans onto it. If so...Any idea which side is positive and which is negative as both wires are black!

Yeah. Get the slimmest 7.4v Li-Po for a starter. Solder female MR30 to it. From that point on you don't need the stock adapter because the gun is male MR30. (It's actually called AMASS MR30).

I made an mr30 to deans adapter as well so I can charge it from my B6.

Your Marui MR30 to tamiya adapter tells you the polarity when you plug it into your battery. But if you search here someone put some nice pictures about it ages ago that's how I did mine. If you did everything right it should look like this. It's a bitch to solder it though at least compared to deans.

Shame about the mags. I have one of the newer ICS MP5A5s (CES-P model), with the etu and short stroke trigger and have found it an excellent, high quality gun. Recommend them, and much cheaper than the TM. Saying that, seeing these new TM MP5 has really tempted me to one of their SDs though. However the thought of buying a totally new set of mags when i already have over 10 standard MP5 mags really puts me off sadly. If they made mag converters like they do for their M4 mags, it might tip me over the fence.

ICS CES-P isn't an EBB ofc it's cheaper.

Woohoo it's arrived from airsoft competitions today.

But what on God's green earth is that battery connector all about. There's me sat with a bunch ofn7.4v lipos all wired to deans and going.....huh

Welcome to MR30. It's time to solder. 🙃

I mean, if it's sealed inside a pouch, doesn't that effects its ability to draw air in?  Just curious, as I run an exposed DIY fan. I guess if the Ex Fogs work, then there must be enough airflow.

Especially if you want to see what's inside them... ;)

Yes but you need a manifold for that.

Also, some kind of protective case wouldn't hurt before one of your teammates wrecks it.

Random question: if it's in a pouch, where is it drawing the air from?

Unit is a simple fan which circulates air through those silicon tubes. Speed can be adjusted.

I've never used either system, I guess the headband is more secure?

    Maybe but it looks goofy.

I prefer helmet over anything else but you can set it up as you please. Boonie, baseball cap or even Dye.

You can buy that velcro pouch separately. Also, it's worth to mention that Exfog came out with a new version (XT) not long ago so you'd be better to buy that one. Mine is "first gen".

I've found a pair of goggles that I REALLY like, however they will definitely fog up. The Novritsch Antifog unit requires you to cut a section out the top of the goggles. How does the ExFog attach?

    Velcro or headband.

So, I went on my first skirmish last night, in almost 6 years! Also, first time at Z-Mart. Had a really good time, a bit sore but glad I made the last minute decision to go.

As I hadn't used my gear in a long time, things have broken and need replacing now. Just wanting some advice on replacement parts and things I would like to add to my load out.

    1. My Marui XL BB Loader broke, should I replace it with the same part or is there a better one available?

    2. My Marui Tracer Unit seems a bit dull compared to others that were being used on the night. Not sure if mine is on its way out or there are newer, better models available?

    3. Need a new sight, my 552 replica has died, thinking of going for a Reflex sight. What are the current good, durable brands? Is Aim a good one?

    4. Also, my soldering iron has died. It's an old Maplin one, any advice on a really good replacement that won't break the bank?

    5. Dye i5 masks, are there any issues with fogging up?

    6. Are there any tracer units available for my Marui PX4 pistol?

My guns are: Marui HK416 rifle and Marui PX4 pistol.

    TIA

    1. Any 10 quid speed loader does the same job to be honest. Ofc you can spend money on Odin and Odin adapters if you want to.
    2. Acetech innovated and innovates constantly on tracers so I'd say yes.
    3. Feyachi plus a cap from reddotengineering should be more than enough for now. Later on you can spend decent amount of money on either Vortex or Holy Warrior if you fancy Eotech replicas.
    4. No clue I don't use iron. :D
    5. Mine never fogged up those lenses are simply the best out there but you can run an exfog unit on it if you're dead set on i5. Cheek weld is gonna rubbish though so you need some kind of riser for optics more than likely.

    6. If anyone did a threaded outer barrel for it it shouldn't be a problem to put one on. That PX4 is quite niche it's not like a Glock or Hi-Capa or other very popular models.

  12. I've built three different custom glocks based on Marui pistols and never changed to aftermarket BBU/piston head/nozzle and all of them have metal slides.

Stock marui internals can go forever quite literally.

Personally I've never felt the urge to change more than just short stroking and taking the trigger safety out. But my pistols are my primaries in winter season so I want them be snappy with a light trigger pull.

I know that I said I'm an aeg man on another thread but I've got a WE P226 gbbp coming in the next day or so.

I know that I need gas but and think that green gas is the popular one, depending on climate?, but is one brand of gas the same as another brand? Is it just gas?

Green gas under normal conditions and you can try and risk red one when it's a few deegres in the winter. There are major differences between PSI if you compare a Vorsk to an Nuprol or ASG. I'd say your average green gas PSI is about 110-120.

Nearly all of them has silicone oil that's why it's called green gas and not propane. It keeps your seals and o-rings lubricated so you don't struggle with leaking magazines later on but as other people said that silicone finds its way into your barrel and hop rubber so this is the trade-off.

Just wondered what peoples thoughts on the Tokyo marui Glock 17 gen5 mos were and how long these new releases normally take to touch down this side of the water, I’m torn between ordering a gen4 or holding out for the gen5 bit on the fence as I’m not a massive fan of the the slide colour of the gen 5 but thinking performance wise it’s got to be a step up

    IMG_1985.jpeg

Not necessarily. The more weight you put on the slide the more you lose on gas efficiency. In this case I'd assume most people would run some kind of optics on it.

Probably it takes a few months to get here if you don't want to buy it from Japan or HK.

I've got the very old design Gen.3 and the newer Gen.4 and I love them both.

Awww shizzle, does that mean I probably I won't be able to use my new Oshi grenade in CQB?  It takes the .209 primers.

You can defo use it unless pyros are prohibited altogether. Sites are against usually 9mm and 12 gauge primers because they're way too loud.

  16. He can try to sell it for whatever price but in this economic environment just be realistic about it.

Last time I saw this gun here with similar amount of magazines it was advertised for 250. That seemed reasonable.
