sorry to break this to you, but honestly, 90 for an ex rental G&G CM16 doesnt seem like a very good price at all. CM16 are not that expensive new, or secondhand for that sake - ex-rental usually mean they've been well abused. I'd consider saving up a new basic cm16, rather than to start spend on this one, then swap the "raider" parts then keep the ex-rental for spares/repairs/backup.

I think most had the idea at some point. Protecting the camera would be easy, protecting the rest of the drone - not so much. It would probably only be able to carry something very light and stripped, and hardly something with a highcap. Also it's my opinion that if you use it for anything else than filming (intel or shooting), you should expect it to be attacked and be able to afford losing it. Also consider the noise they are making. All in all, probably not a good idea. If all above was fixed.. you got a bulletproof and completely silent flyer able to shoot 1000 plastic balls per minute... where's the challenge in that??

Focusing on the question in the title: RIS attached to the dust cover is probably the WORST place to put an optic. Dustcover is not very securely attached and often have, or develop, slight wobble. If your battery is under it you will remove it at least twice per game. The side mount will be solid, but is a bit of a hassle if thats where the battery is. If it's in the stock, go for side mount. If battery is under dustcover, I'd say the best place for an option if on top of the handguard.

It happens... Pros: -Fun -Flexibility & manoeuvrability -Fun -Speed -Fun -Lightweight -Did I mention it's damn FUN!!!! Cons: -Less reliable -Less ammo capability -Shorter range -Less accurate -No optics (with exceptions) -More likely to be heard by opposite team (vs. AEG) -Just a generally a less effective primary As my main goal with airsoft is to have fun.. I really should consider using it more often!

think someone (on this forum?) made a face protection attached to the coms mic. wasn't too disturbing in looks, not sure I'd trust it thou as it leave angles free... maybe in combination with upper & lower gumsheilds.

used to wear lower face mesh, works well and probably wont steam up. As for gum shields. I've seen people having their lower teeth shot out, as most only wear upper ones, this would not protect them. Also they are meant to take a blow from a fist to the face, not a 6mm at ~1j. Also my close friend always plays with mask, except ONCE when his girlfriend joined in and he lent it to her and played only with goggles. After a long process, lots of pain and money, he now has a fake tooth. He also have quit airsoft as he feels really uncomfortable with it even when masked. Is it really worth the risk? :/ rofl

Not aware that there is any such thing, other than home builds? Seen some people playing some paintball like game with soft tipped arrows, but that have no place in airsoft as it would make a completely other impact type than the 6mm bb.

There is a clip on youtube (that I can't find atm) where a guy at the old TWA Anerley site somehow manages to get thru the courtyard alive, then enters the main building the way the opposite team would, making his way back to his team, stabbing all the enemies from the back as he goes. EPIC I once took out a whole bunch of people there, but too tired to explain tonight

gas m11a1 will turn more heads than many guns 10 times more expensive. Used to get a fair share of comments when using my G&P tank also^^

Situations^^ If I was renting and given one full high cap at the beginning of the day thou I can't say I'd be overly pleased if someone who knew this would ask to "borrow" (unless maybe if it was a close friend, or we where the last two standing, depending on each other to keep alive). But I'd say any regular player that buys in 5k bags would be very stingy no to share a few. If I was short on ammo and needed all I have to get thru the day, I'd tell him so. I once lent about two inch worth from my bottle to someone saying he had in safezone and would refill what he took. He didn't. This annoyed me slightly. Not so much about the BBs - they are cheap - more that he didn't keep to his word. Guess he forgot - again, BBs are cheap! Think I've lent out batteries for the last two games..
