Edit: profile says phishy af for thirsty nerds 🤣🤣🤣
  2. Never seen this happen, but I would imagine that part of their thinking would be that they paid good money for this nade, they're bloody well gonna chuck it! Not saying that's right or wrong, but you can see how that might be a factor. Damnit, beaten to the shot!
  3. Not really about what I bought, but WHERE I bought it. I ordered two 40mm, 72 round Moscarts from actionhobbies.co.uk Never ordered from them before, but ran through trustpilot and they have good reviews. This morning I got a phone call from them, apologising. The Moscarts are out of stock in that size. I can wait for them to come back in stock OR they can send me the next size up, at no extra charge, which I will receive in time for this weekend's game. Great customer service! Shout out to Paul at action hobiies.

      My condolences.

Hopefully see you at the next one.

  5. I'll be there on the 3rd for the Battlesim. You'll be fine going alone, it's a great site and the staff are really friendly and helpful. You'll have a great time.
  6. Good man, he's totally right. Can't believe people just walked past you!!!
  7. Simple question really. I'm looking at getting a baofeng uv-9r (and an amateur radio licence to use it), but I occasionally play with someone who uses a UV5-r. Can someone on a UV-9r communicate with someone on a UV-5r? Ta.
  8. So, today was a particularly fun one. Five of us have been playing online games together, for nigh on 20 years. Some of us have never met face to face. This weekend we finally all met up. Three not that far apart, one from Scotland and one from Canada. I've obviously played a lot. One of us had played about 5 games. The Scottish guy had played Airsoft once before. The Canadian played once with me last weekend. That other had never played before today. We went to Red Alert in Newbury. What a superb day. First time at the site for all of us, and it was a great site. Good sized playing area, lots of great terrain and buildings (standard wood builds but good quality and varied), lots of varied game modes, very welcoming staff and they marshals could not have been more engaged. The atmosphere was very good. All five of us had a great day, and all of the varying levels of newbies are very keen to play again and are all talking about getting their own kit (I loaned out a lot of kit today and got it all back in the same condition I lent it out in). Red Alert is highly recommend, I've booked in for their next battlesim weekend. Oh, and we got some comemmerative patches made up for the meet up, that we wore today.
  9. Painted the retention holster for my MK23.
  10. Greggs have announced plans to start a delivery service using drones. All sounds a bit pie in the sky to me.
  11. Cool, now I just need a granny to sell 😉
  12. I will sell someone's granny for the M41A 😭
  13. Patch arrived. A bit big for my helmet. Think I'll get a smaller one done and use this on my rig till then.
  14. So, my friend has recently come into possession of some old guns. They've been sat around for at least 7 years doing nothing, and their previous owner has given them to him as he's now getting into airsoft. One is clearly a Tokyo Marui AK. But we would like more details if possible, including the wiring question. The other seems to be Glock clone, and after a little detective work I believe it may be a KWA. But I'm coming to you, smarter, more experienced, devastatingly handsome people, to see if you can give us any more information on these RIFs. So take a look, please, and let me know what you think.
  15. Good question! I'll measure it and do some comparisons.
  16. So, I have locked my Secutor to Semi, for use as a DMR, but the FPS/joules is not what I want. I am looking to get as close to 425 as possible, and at present am just looking to change the spring (As it has a quick change system). But I have Spring confusion. The Secutor Rapax is essentially just an Ares SR25 with different internals, I believe. I am looking at this spring. https://www.bespokeairsoft.co.uk/bespoke-airsoft-stel-tek-m150-aeg-spring-also-for-ares-striker Will this fit? Or should I go with an Ares Amoeba Spring? https://a2supplies.co.uk/products/ares-amoeba-m100-spring Obviously it doesn't NEED to be an Ares spring, just what is compatible. Any advice greatly appreciated.
  17. Ouch 😕 Hope you can get it replaced and fitted easily. I took the other half Airsofting for the first time today. She loved it and got lots of kills. A marshal was playing today, and complimented her on her playing, twice. Once after she shot him in the face. 😁 We played a game mode called pilot. 7 downed pilots that have to be captured by one of the two teams. Whoever captures the most wins. I was a pilot. I dug in under a bush in a ditch. Nobody could find me. I had people so close I could have reached out and touched them. Got 4 pistol kills, without giving away my position, before I was eventually found, last pilot to be captured. Very smug 😁 Personal kill of the day, pistol kill on a running target while defending bean can fort. Unfortunately I got so drunk last night I forgot to charge my camera batteries, so I got very little footage of the day 😭 But overall a great day, and we have a new convert. She wants to try sniping.....
  18. Look on it as a learning experience 🤷🏼 It's a mostly good group on this forum, classifieds vultures not withstanding, so you're in the right place for good advice and bad comedy.
  19. In his final high school exam, my Granddad got 7 C's So he became a pirate.
  20. I can sell you a noose, it's second hand but as new. Comes pre upgraded, did all the tech work myself and I totally know what I'm doing. All new threads, brand new knot, and maple leaf loop. You won't do find another noose like it at this price.
