If you're totally new: Have a browse on YouTube (including Gamble's channel). There's LOADS of videos for beginners, about what you need to get started, which is actually very little: Sturdy boots with ankle support. Clothes you don't mind getting dirty (camo or dark colours). Gloves are good. Eye protection is your main priority, but if you're starting out renting that will be provided, though I'd still recommend getting your own as the rental stuff sometimes isn't the best and you don't know if it's already taken a few shots. Then.... Go to a site close to you (check out the sites review section on this forum). Rent a gun. Play. Do that a couple of times, see if you like the game. Go on from there. You'll find that at most sites the players are friendly, inclusive and helpful. Power has been out since around 15:00 Friday. At 18:00 today I got this text. "We are very sorry for the ongoing power cut. We are still determining the full extent of damage to our network and due to the ferocity of Storm Eunice, this is not an easy task. To help you plan ahead, we're keen to provide you with a realistic expectation of what's to come. We expect to reconnect a large number of customers throughout the course of this evening, with the vast majority of customers being restored by the end of the weekend. We are however expecting some affected customers, particularly in rural areas or where complex repairs are required, to remain without power into early next week. This means, it's possible that your power will remain off until early next week. We are really sorry.... Blah blah blah" Ugh. Thankfully I have an open fireplace, loads of logs, a camping stove and plenty of gas, USB power banks, and candles, wind up torches, canned food and even some MREs (for easy food at festivals). Tomorrow I'll pull the diesel genny out of the barn. Supposed to be playing tomorrow, with my new DMR, but considering the forecast for the area is 20mph winds gusting to 40+ going seems pointless. Oh well! How about you lot, everyone doing okay in this?

Already spoken to Patrol Base and it's getting replaced. I'm pretty sure it's just a one off. As soon as I get the replacement I'll do a new video.

Picked up the Action Army AAP-01. Mag seal was BORKED and the slide release too. Going straight back.

I can't stand unboxing videos where they talk about every little feature, like "It has stippling on the grip". No duh! It's a video mate, we can see it. So this is just a very simple look at the gun.

There were two parcels from Patrol Base. For some reason they were sending one dpd and one ups. The dpd driver picked up both and one went who knows where?

Short version: ordered a pistol and holster, they've gone walkies thanks to DpD driver error. Rang patrol base, they're sending replacements which will be with me tomorrow and have refunded the postage. DPD were not helpful in the slightest, claiming they'd never seen the package, despite sending me notifications it had been delivered 🙄 But Patrol Base have been fantastic.

I have a big head (Fnar fnar). I also have a mass of hair. I cannot find a helmet big enough to squeeze my gigantic melon into. Anyone have any suggestions?
