WHAT A DAY! Red Alert's second Battlesim "LITE". Like a Battlesim day without camo/ammo/loadout restrictions. Military vehicles on the field, set objectives etc. At the start of the day I got a surprise when I was handed a marshall radio and told I was the on the field commander for Red team (Each team has a commander who stays at HQ and a second in command on the field). But... but, I'm in full ghillie with a bolt action! OH WELL! It was HUMID! So much so that before lunch I had already shed my ghillie and was roaming far more than I usually do in sniper mode, as I needed to relay objective updates, assign reinforcements etc. There were intel cards available for capture, dotted around, and at objective capture points intel boxes with bundles of cards. Intel cards had a face value of 1 or 2 seconds. You could return the cards to HQ at any time, and once you had a minimum of 20 seconds acrued you could then don a Purple High Vis, which took you out of normal play, and head into the Kill House. In the Kill House you used your accrued time to run the course of Attack Sense targets, getting a point for each succesful target taken out, using a stock G&G M4 issued by the Kill House Marshall. Your points gained added to your teams victory points. It was an EXCELLENT day all round. I didn't hear any complaints about hit taking, the atmosphere and team work were exceptional. A highlight was escorting the Feret armoured car (Google it) to collect intel boxes, with a gun emplacement atop the Feret. MAYHEM! Final scores for the day: Yellow team: 96 points My lovely, attractive, obedient, talented Red team: 274 points Quite a victory. Also, at the end of the day @Smiling-Dutchman was made a member of The Outcasts (Our small, select group of dickheadds that play BANG YOU'RE DEAD in the woods together regularly). Photo not from today, but Dutch is in it, so 😋

Someone is really trying to get their post count up. -
Yeah, that works.

Couldn't agree more.

This. They're designed to be a way for people to get an idea of a full battlesim, without ammo/camo/ loadout restrictions. They're great fun. I'll be there in danger bush mode.

I'd rather they didn't. It's one of my favourites too, and I'm fed up of awful adaptations. If you're into cerebral sci fi, have you read the Hyperion Cantos by Dan Simmons? I cannot recommend those books highly enough. Bradley Cooper has the rights and is trying to get an adaptation off the ground, but again I'd rather it stay on the page.

Yeah, I've heard they're not well made, but it's just an ornament for me. At some point I'll have the spare cash. I'd also quite like the Auto 9. -

M41A Pulse Rifle Hwasang Mad Max sawn off. Got one of those STAR Dragon things, it's allegedly based on a gun from Ghost in the shell, but I don't think it is. My holy grail movie rif is Deckard's blaster. -
Duuuuude. Super envious, mine is just the Snow Wolf

Yeah, they were all kids that absolutely did not care what was going on. Last time I went I approached a marshal with an issue and he didn't even look up from his phone 🙄
-
I don't think there's anything funny about your pants region. Now show the nice people your SR25

I need to give that place another go. Used to play there but the marshalls were aaaaawful

Outdoor skate parks in urban areas can indeed be good places to score, or at least get directions as to where one may be able to. Trust me on this..... a friend told me? This thread: Sorry. Anyway! Airsoft Gokarting D&D Geocaching City hunts Dealing smack on a skateboard Escape room Crazy golf Bowling As a former skater/snowboarder; skating can be frustrating af at first, but great fun, rewarding and keep you fit. It can also lead to horrible injuries that haunt you years later, when you're running around in a wood with a bb pew

Warhammer can become real money pit. Unlike airsoft.... You say for a day, so just a random thing once in a while? Escape Rooms?
