  1. I think you're right. Higher cost of materials, less demand and economies of scale all add to the higher prices. One other thing that probably doesn't help is the extra weight will send shipping costs up.
  2. Well at least it's not teabagging
  3. Welcome. If you're just wanting a garden plinker then a 2 tone would fit your needs, however I can fully understand why you'd want a rif. Bunker 51 is on the list of sites I visit and I can confirm you can rent AEGs and pistols. In fact in cqb I'll usually run with a pistol for a main weapon. If you do go I suggest for one of the mid week games as the lower numbers make for a better day. If it's woodland games you're interested in then you're in luck as there's quite a few sites just outside the London area. Use the link posted by Edcase to find one nearest to you. If you don't want to commit to a full day then many sites will let you play just the morning for a lower price
  4. They don't. I think that either A. The seller bought it from somewhere like justbbguns who jack the price up to something stupid before they offered it at a "discount" price matching other shops B. The seller is a cunt who wants to rip people off C. A bit from A and a bit from B
  5. This times million. IMO far too many sites are happy to cram in as many players as possible which turns games into a boring stalemate where nobody is able to move. I know it's a bit late but last Tuesday I took a trip back to Bunker 51 for the first time this year. Numbers were low at 12 total dropping to 4 for the last game and on the whole I had a great evening. Hit taking was good with no problems. Although there was one amusing moment where myself and an opposing player were both thinking the other wasn't taking their hits, only to find out both of us were having feeding problems. We both had a good laugh about it afterwards when we realised what happened. All in all I think I definitely would recommend their mid week games. The Sunday games I think I'll avoid though, from talking to other players it sounds like they have too many players for both the game zone and safe zone
  6. Does anyone know anywhere in the Hatfield/Hertfordshire area who will refill hpa bottles?
  7. It always amazes me that people will spend hundreds on "upgrades" but still insist on using those cheap shitty chargers
  8. Tbh you might as well bin the charger and bbs. The charger is one of the cheap ones which come with the gun and many shops will either remove them from the box or not cover them in the warranty they're that bad and nobody uses .12g bbs. I'd be very surprised if you do get £75 for it. As a rule of thumb airsoft guns loose around a third of their resale value just by walking out door of the shop, and as the gun is a two tone this knocks the value down more. £50 would be more realistic
  9. I used to have a 552 and found either G36 mag pouches or double m4 mag pouches worked
  10. Looks like a cyma cm 515 which are only a tenner more when new https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/cyma-cm-515-m4a1-carbine-w-keymod-handguard?pv=1044
  11. So they replaced the batteries but stuck with the crappy burn your house down charger. I think the seller's name is missing a vowel
  12. Not touching individual brands I can understand but to not touch anything that isn't TM does seem a little shortsighted to me, especially as TM haven't been immune from certain models having issues.
  13. Must have GOSH and enjoy long walks in the countryside 😁
  14. While this is surprising, thinking about it it's not unexpected. I'd guess that most airsoft shops do the majority of their business online, I know I haven't set foot in an airsoft shop for a few years. If having a physical store is a net loss then I can see why they're going online only. I just hope their new website is easier to use than the old one as it was one of the things which put me off shopping there. This is an odd one to me. By only selling TM stuff they're effectively cutting out a large chunk of the market as not everyone has the £500+ in disposable income to get a TM rif with mags etc
  15. That can't be Clacton, nobody is getting stabbed and there's not enough shit in the sea
  16. Strange. Its usually the start of school holidays when the dumb how to get a rif without a defence posts appear No. The person buying it for you must have a defence to buy rifs. If they do have a defence then they can gift someone under 18 a rif but there must be no exchange of money, goods or services. Also if you're under 18 then you don't have a defence. Yes
  17. If they're self loading then what are the 2 mag loaders for? It'd be overpriced even if the butt plate wasn't missing https://airsoft-forums.uk/profile/44584-djh456/
  18. Definitely. I get worse fogging with a ball cap than a boonie
  19. I've found hand sanitiser gel is good for getting a fire started, especially in damp conditions. I've also made fire starters by taking a section of bike inner tube, filling it with tumble dryer lint and taping up the ends. The inner tube keeps the lint dry and will also burn when wet This. A good rule of thumb is to treat it like foreplay. Whatever you think is enough double it
  20. Probably. I think the bloke on YouTube sticks with glitter and fart spray to keep things legal
