  1. I also agree with all the above. If the visor is like the one pictured below I highly recommend getting some glasses or goggles to go underneath as there's some very big gaps where a bb could easily get through. Infact I'd be surprised if a site did let anyone play with just that for eye protection. The only other thing I reccomended is a pair of gloves. Hits to the fingers and knuckles bloody hurt and even a thin pair of gloves will take the edge off
  2. That's a very polite way of saying fugly crap scribbled on the side
  3. I don't remember getting a e mail when mine expired either
  4. In that case it's very unlikely that you're still on the ukara database
  5. How ukara would help there? Owning rifs isn't illegal and if police are visiting with the big red key then you've got bigger problems
  6. I'm guessing it's because forums have threads like this to call them out on their stupid prices. Also it makes it easier to scam people. If a listing only hints about possibly containing a rif then the buyer has no come back when they find out they've paid £200 for an empty gun bag. I haven't used Ebay for years, it used to be great for bargains but it's now usually cheaper to buy from a proper shop.
  7. Rifs are banned from being sold on the UK Ebay site
  8. Same here. It's probably the easiest upgrade out there, even I can do it
  9. If you're playing a mixture of cqb and outdoors then I'd leave the spring alone as higher fps doesn't automatically equal more range. I'd change the hop rubber for a Maple Leaf macroon and, if you're not already, use heavier ammo. 100% this. Getting as close as possible to the site limits puts you at risk of being over on the site chrono
  10. So after finding out earlier in the week that South Herts Airsoft didn't have a midweek game yesterday at the last minute I booked myself into Future Survival in Gravesend. Knowing how close the engagement ranges are I opted to leave the AEGs at home and took a couple of pistols and the shotgun. Unfortunately the shotgun was a little hot so it went straight back in the bag, yes I could've switched to a lower power gas but tbh I couldn't be arsed as there wasn't long before the first game was starting. Games were general well run with a few issues which were quickly sorted of by the staff. Unfortunately this didn't last into the last game as some (on both sides) did appear to start getting a loose interpretation of rules on pre firing and overkill. Overall it was far from the best day of airsoft I've had, but it definitely wasn't a bad day as, the good still certainly outweighed the bad
  11. Tbh I'd say cat crap is pretty low cost. A tub costs a tenner but you don't need to use much so it lasts ages.
  12. I'm pretty sure that name has come up before in relation to being a cunt
  13. Agreed. They act like a nice big sign saying shoot here
  14. A quick Google search shows airsoft guns are legal in South Africa so why not just get it sent directly to you? This way you won't need to get a 2 tone and your sister won't have the extra hassle of dealing with the airline. Also the airline may insist it's in a locked case which will eat up any savings compared to shipping to RSA)
  15. These are £80 new and do 400 fps https://www.airsoftworld.net/kwc-makarov-pm-styled-nbb-co2-airsoft-pistol.html
  16. No it's not just you. If you zoom in it looks like it's in the box behind the upper receiver The cynic in me says its subtlety holding the thing together
  17. Most of my guns don't have any upgrades but on the rare occasion I do change something it's usually the hop rubber. It's worth posting that IMO you should always play a game or two with the gun totally stock rather than upgrading parts beforehand. This gives you a better idea of what, if anything needs changing
  18. If you're being shot at by something which can burst a camelbak then I suggest finding a new site as that should never happen at uk power levels. I find one useful in the hotter months as having the drinking tube within sight acts as a visual reminder to stay hydrated, rather than waiting till I feel thirsty
  19. According to the link below having a serious conviction isn't an automatic disqualification from having a taxi licence, but how this guy got one is still beyond me and makes me think there's something dodgy going on https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/articles/assessing-application-taxi-driver-licence#toc-4
  20. I recommend getting 2 batteries to make sure you can keep going all day
  21. Have you played a game yet? If not then I suggest renting for a couple of games. This will help you determine what suits you best. Also you'll be able to see what others are using and can ask about anything you like the look of. Most airsofters are happy to show off and talk about their guns. Also getting site membership first means you won't be stuck having to buy a two tone. I don't own any of the Edge range of specna arms guns but I do have one from the Core range and I'm more than happy with it for both build quality and performance. As others have posted, barrel length makes bugger all difference in airsoft so go with whatever length you prefer
