  1. Just for shits and giggles Ving Rhames' gun from Soldiers of Fortune
  2. Normally I approve of odd looking guns but that is just wrong
  3. Some very good points made here. With the way various parts of the shooting community have tried to throw other groups under the bus to save their own slice of the pie, I think we would be better off with a separate body to represent airsoft (IIRC the BASC did exactly that when the vcra was being discussed)
  4. @Asomodai no worries. I just hope they're not using the TB name to try and drum up business
  5. 99% of them are the same shite. Blurry footage from a constantly shaking camera with a few CoD hit markers put on the top and badly edited to make themselves look like they know what they're doing
  6. On the plus side it might be a good source for Mack's
  7. I used to do plinking in the garden with air pistols and while browsing gunmart I found an article about skirmishing. The idea of targets which can move and shoot back was immediately appealing. I'd tried paintball but that was too expensive to take up regularly so airsoft looked perfect Gor me it's the camaraderie that you get between players, I've made some very good friends through airsoft. Probably the biggest part that I don't like is the social media groups. I found the vast majority are full of people having childish arguments. To go along with this are all the wannabe airsoft "celebrities" and their sycophants. Just because you've got an Instagram account and are wearing more cameras than used on a Hollywood blockbuster doesn’t make you special or the next JJ Abrams. Lastly its those who take things far to seriously and think they can order others around, telling them how to play. Anyone doing this should be told to fuck off as I've paid to have fun, not stroke the ego of some General Patton wannabe. Of course. Regularly spending a day running round (well bimble now age is starting to catch up with me) is always going to help with physical health. Also as someone who has mental health issues, I find having a day to forget about the rest of the world and concentrate on the game really does help where my head is. Even my other half has noticed that my mood drops and I generally become a miserable shit (well more of one) if I haven't been able to play for a while If I can think of anything else I'll add it later
  8. Wow. That's a spechul arsesoft supplies level of customer service. To accuse a customer of cheating rather than admit there could be a problem with something they sold is just cuntish
  9. Wow. I know they're expensive as they're not made anymore, but at that price I'd expect it to come with one of these Shops really should proof read their faceache posts.
  10. Of course. It's only made better when they claim your gun is hot because you've got better range, only to chrono well within site limits
  11. I approve of buffer tubes on AKs simply because it upsets the purists. Anyone who ever went to the Red Alliance forum will know what I mean
  12. From the chat I had yesterday I won't be giving them any business. I don't know the exact details but it turns out there's been a lot of bitching, backstabbing and bullshit flying around from the guys running mayhem to force TB out.
  13. I just came here to post about Mayhem taking over. They already run paintball on there so it's not a totally new site to them. However, from what I've heard the landowner has had to remove a massive amount of the ground level vegetation so I'll wait to see what they do with the place
  14. I think that was the main thing that appealed to me, being run more as a club than a site helped to create a more relaxed atmosphere
  15. Unfortunately it's just been announced that tech brigade in Hertfordshire won't reopen. Rather than write a long post I'll paste what was on Facebook END OF THE ROAD 😪 It is with an extremely heavy heart and with great sadness that I have to announce that Tech Brigade Airsoft will no longer be operating with immediate effect. There will be no more games at Warren Wood organised by Tech Brigade. This is mostly due to a massive shake up of the woodland and the game areas at the moment effectively reducing the playing areas by 60 percent. Also given the recent situation and uncertainty going forward i feel it is time to get out of the organising side of Airsoft. I would like to say a massive thank you to all players, suppliers , friends and family for your continued support throughout the last 27 years i will never forget the many experiences, good, not so good, funny and completely outrageous, that i have had while running TB. As far as "Team Tech Brigade" goes i will continue to skirmish and hopefully get to shoot with and at all of the wonderful players that have made this experience so fun. I look forward to lots more banter and stories while skirmishing elsewhere. I will return any and all deposits previously paid as soon as possible and would ask you to send either your PayPal or bank details for me to do this. Once again this decision has been extremely difficult to make and not taken lightly. All the best
  16. Scratch that. It's just been announced on faceache that TB won't be reopening at all
  17. So I've finally gotten round to looking at my Striker and I think I've found the problem. One of the 4 pins holding the bolt in place has gone awol.
  18. I'm sure I heard Finmere closed years ago,it must be old age getting to me. I visited donkey's years ago and really enjoyed it Back on topic, tech brigade in Hertfordshire should be reopening 18th of April, so long as nothing changes
  19. At least with grandkids you can give them back. Also don't forget to let the grandchild get away with stuff that would've gotten the parents a massive bollocking at that age Oh the innocence of youth
  20. No guns, just a BFG and a box of primers
