  1. Exactly. I'm no Sheldon Cooper when it comes to physics, but even I understand joule creep and how heavier bbs affect muzzle energy. Personally I've no problem with cqb sites banning heavier bbs as the advantages only become apparent at ranges greater than found in cqb and adjusting the hop up shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes
  2. A Boeing 777 was on its way across the Atlantic when all of a sudden a USAF F35 pulled up along side. "Boring flight huh?" the fighter pilot said over the radio. "Watch this". The fighter then accelerated away, breaking the sound barrier before performing loops and rolls, then returning alongside the passenger jet. "What do you think of that?" the fighter pilot called over the radio. "Not bad, watch this" comes the reply from the 777 A few minutes go by and the big jet continues to fly dead straight and level. Finally the radio crackles to life "Well, what do you think?" "About what? You didn't do anything" asks the confused fighter pilot. "Yes I did" comes the reply "I got up, went for a piss, made a coffee and arranged a date with a stewardess in a 5* hotel, that's paid for by the airline"
  3. I'm guessing you haven't played yet. If so I recommend you rent for the first few games, as this'll help you to get an idea of what suits your playing style. Also it means you get to see what others are using. Don't be afraid to ask about what others are using as most airsofters love to show off their guns Also if you get your site membership first you won't need to get a two tone (assuming you're over 18)
  4. Maybe this is what he means by stock touch handdel?
  5. They could understand me fine in the middle of games so I don't think it was a heat of the moment thing. I didn't see it myself so I didn't see the marshals reactions, but before the last game before lunch everyone was gathered in the safe zone and we were told anyone who dry fires in the safezone, removes their eyepro in game or is caught ignoring test shots would be booted out. They were gone very quickly at lunch. Fully agree with the bouncer analogy
  6. But have you seen the list of accessories you get with it? Scope stock touch pack handdel
  7. Making the knuckle draggers on reddit cry is enough reason to do it
  8. This lot would understand everything in conversation, but the moment they were pulled up on something they turned into this guy so it was obvious they knew exactly what they were doing.
  9. That sounds like the lot we had that I mentioned above. They had to be told more than once not to dry fire in the safezone and would suddenly forget how to understand English when pulled up on their twattery
  10. I've been using both 7.4 and 11. 1 volt LiPos for a few years (probably 50/50 semi or full auto) with no issues
  11. Considering a cyma 0.28 can be picked up for around £100 he's definitely taking the piss. As for a transferable warranty, my only question is wtf have they been smoking?
  12. I always laugh a little whenever someone posts about how guns must be upgraded to take LiPos as I've been using them in stock guns for years with no problems
  13. Yesterday at Apocalypse started as a bit of a mixed bag as there were some great games, but was let down by a bunch of rentals who couldn't follow simple instructions and site rules. Fortunately they left at lunch (I don't know if they left on their own accord or were booted as they left pretty quickly) but the games got a lot better afterwards. It was also nice that my kurtz managed a full day without crapping out which is more than can be said for my shotgun and aks74u, although the ak was my own fault for not charging the battery
  14. Careful, you'll upset the whinning butter man using his music in something he can't control
  15. You know when you run out of toilet paper and have to do that pants down waddle to get another? Well I'm nearly at tesco
  16. This. Also 95% of repainted 2 tones look absolutely terrible
  17. In short yes. However, I recommend renting for the first few games. This will allow you to work out what suits your playing with style. For example I prefer shorter guns as I like to go sneaking through the undergrowth so a carbine or smg suits me best.
  18. Aren't Lancer Tactical rebranded cymas? That's the model I was looking at, although I've only just realised doesn't have the mosfet, not that it's a real issue for me That's an idea, I've got an old g&g cm16 gbbr which is supposed to have an aeg compatible body. I say supposed to as I was going to drop the cyma internals in, but so many parts are incompatible it's cheaper to buy a new gun
  19. That's the sort. I'm just toying between that or the M16A2
  20. I did look at those, but I'm after something that's got the old style unrailed foregrips
  21. I've had it for a few years and it was one of the £100 ones. While the gearbox is fine (it's handled a 11.1v LiPo fine), the plastic body has all the strength of a dairylea cheese triangle that's been left out in the sun.
  22. So, my cyma M4 has crapped out and I'm looking for a replacement which has brought the specna arms guns to my attention, particularly the edge range. A metal body, mosfet and quick change spring for less than £200 sounds like a good deal but the cynic in me can't help thinking there's a reason it's cheap. So, to put it bluntly, are Specna Arms shit?
  23. For my aegs I tend to run a red dot sight, although it's partly for looks tbh. For cqb I don't really have a choice about point shooting as I tend to use as this is my primary. No rear sight and the front bead sight is obscured by the shock chord
  24. A sling loop to go on a 20mm rail. Unfortunately DK Armaments fucked up and sent me someone else's order. If there's a D Fisher from Cumbria reading this, I have your batteries
  25. Could be worse. At least they're not professional soldiers
