The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread
Cannonfodder replied to Skara's topic in General Discussion
The best response to some twat at the back screaching for others to push up was from a mate. The screamer was some kid who thought being a cadet made him Geral Patton, and said mate picked him up by the straps on his webbing, carried him forward 10 yards and unserimoniously dumped him on the floor, before telling him to move up. -
Two old grannies were sat on a park bench when a flasher jumped out of the bushes. It was such a shock that one had a stroke but the other had arthritis so couldn't reach

This is a great example of why good fieldcraft will always beat a good camouflage. Really anything in dark greens and browns will do so get whatever pattern you like the look of Edit. I tend to be in tigerstripe or dpm in summer and mtp or att in winter

Seconded. I learned this the hard way, I picked up a JG SL8 and just had the tappet plate cut to disable full auto. It lasted half a game before the gearbox locked up If you're really wanting a full auto back up then this is a good idea. Another advantage is that it won't suffer cool down like a gbb.

Nor me, it's quite easy to pick up appropriately rated eye protection cheaply if you shop around -

What rating are they? -
From the quick skim though that link I did that was one of the issues

Didn't glock go after after some US stores a few years ago for selling GBB glock replicas with trademarks? Edit: they did. https://airsoft-milsim-news.com/glock-wins-lawsuit-against-airsoft-splat/

The 'What have you just bought' Thread
Cannonfodder replied to Cameron364's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Edit: to avoid this being a spam post I'd better mention the acrylic paint pens I picked up for numbering mags and doodling on my bfgs -
Fixed At the end of the day if you're happy with your kit then that's what matters. Let's face it, our gear is really nothing more than a fancy dress costume and having the latest gucci gear won't instantly turn you into Captain Price or Jason Bourne. Also I'm sure most airsofters have cupboards full of kit they bought and never use

This. It's got to be better than some of the other bullshit defences accepted by some retailers -

What I meant to put in my earlier post was that many of us old gits have seen these alternatives come and go Project Luther appeared about 10 years ago and the people behind it were claiming it was an all singing and dancing alternative to ukara run "by players for players". Iirc it died when people realised it did nothing that ukara didn't do, but you had to pay an annual fee -
That's still more money for worse performance and reliability and I really couldn't give a monkeys about trademarks so that's not something I'm going to pay extra for

I think one of the biggest issues with getting anyone to sign up to an alternative to ukara is that there have been so many attempts in the past, of which 90% didn't go anywhere. Anyone remember Project Luther? -
No hatred here, nor has anyone mocked you so I don't know where you got that idea from. Not everyone wants to go through all the extra hassle of ordering from half way round the world. This is my experience too Overall I just don't see the logic in paying more for something which has worse performance but hey, it's your cash to spend on what you want
