  1. Not the most thrilling of purchases, but you can't play without them; some Geoff's Super Naturals in .25 and .3, and a new set of Bloc eyepro to see if they really are a fog-free solution for sweat monsters.
  2. I've used Powair6 before. Really good and fast service.
  3. First woodland game at Combat South (RIP) in 2018, sporting issued MTP and boonie, with a borrowed eBay PC and a mate's Combat Machine. Last game a couple of weeks ago at Camouflage Bournemouth, with repro Crye black multicam top, Platatac tigerstripe Dax4, Warrior LPC PC, backpack and dangler, Mechanix gloves, Delta Mike facepro, Esstac pouches, C2R belt, TMC Safariland, Umarex Glock and TM NGRS 416.
  4. Apologies, I know eyepro has been done to death, but can anyone with any experience of Bloc Lynx glasses give me a quick steer, especially if they're an absolute sweat monster like me? I switch between issued Revision Sawfly, Bolle Raiders and Bolle X1000, all with anti-fog spray. All get steamy, to varying degrees, especially recently of course. Just wondered if these are any good as I like the look and the various 10% off codes all flying around at the moment.
  5. Never seen a chrono at GZ in the past four years.
  6. Let's face it, the site organisers can't even be arsed to cover basic safety, like chrono-ing on a regular skirmish day. There's no way they can police 3,000 people for alcohol or drugs. As for people blazing up, it seems to be a common occurance at GZ. Played there half a dozen times this year and there's always a smell of it in the car park. Can't stand it myself, mainly because the majority of weed heads all seem boring as fuck. Each to their own I guess, but I'd rather not have to put up with it.
  7. I'll go occasionally as it's literally a five minute drive. However, as I now have more opportunity to play, going further afield for a better experience is definitely on the agenda, so any recommendations gratefully received.
  8. My thoughts exactly! Busiest day I've had at GZ was just over 200 players and it was pump. Give me a day of limited numbers, with no drum mag, 50 rd a second dickheads who've grandslammed themselves from the night before, and I'd be there. As it is, I'll give it a swerve. Having said all that, I do get the social aspect and have chatted to quite a few players over the years who have ventured into Ringwood for a beer.
  9. First time out for me and the boy at Camouflage Bournemouth yesterday. First impressions were of a well run, responsible site. Decent safety brief, quick chrono and a fair mix of players; regulars, newbies, male, female and a decent number of juniors. Terrain was more challenging than I thought it was going to be, with some fairly steep hills to negotiate. The site is set out in a logical way however, with some decent structures, good ambush positions and the games are well organised. The heat was pretty brutal, which was to be expected, but most people seemed to be coping well. Hit taking was a bit of an issue at times, as was over-shooting and players flashing at each other more than usual. Must have been the heat! To be fair though, everyone got a rebrief during a break about all these points, and about some of the language being used towards other players, which was good to see. I get that some people feel that getting lit up by a 12 year old is beneath them, but you have to question the sort of person who goes to airsoft not expecting to receive a hit all day, then calls a child a c*nt for doing just that. Totally unnecessary. We left just after lunch as my NGRS shit itself for the first time ever, and I'd neglected to bring any back-ups. Definitely be back there before long though and my lad absolutely loved it.
  10. I've done the MTP thing to death, purely because I had loads kicking around, same for multicam. Now multicam tropic is a favourite, along with M81 woodland. I also have a set of MARPAT woodland which works well here as it's darker, but next weekend I'm debuting the tigerstripe trousers with a black multicam top.
  11. Must be fate. Apocalypse Now on TV last night, the tigerstripes delivered this morning. Seriously great service from Platatac. Ordered on 24 July and delivered from Australia in 9 days!

Having bought my TMs from UK retailers, one who advertised that trades would be removed, they've all been fine. It's mainly for the HK models as far as I can see, as VFC have the official license

Pretty sure they do as they copyright isn't recognised in Japan. That's why a fair few UK retailers say they will remove trades or don't list certain models (MP7 being a prime example) on their websites
  14. I always find if I angle the mag so the filler valve is straight, they fill no problem.

I've had an Umarex Glock 17 for a couple of years now. I got the CO2 version and also have a green gas mag. Is it a good pistol? I feel distinctly meh, about it tbh. It shoots fine for me at close distances (<15m) so it's passable. Was it value for money? Fml, no! Almost £200 with a spare mag is ludicrous for the performance. Does it look good? Yes, 100%. Would I buy another? Nope. TM all the way for that money, or a WE and upgrades. It's all subjective though. I use my pistol maybe once during a game day (and on the range) just to use it, but generally it's just there because my holster would look shit without it.
  16. Thanks boys. Appreciate the feedback and will definitely take it under advice and run it past the boy 👍
  17. Have a read through this thread (yep, all 250+ pages) and you'll see loads of us have tried various rails. If you can't be bothered with that, although you should as you'll pick up loads of tips. take a look at the ATRG Blog - https://atrg.blog/2018/06/15/how-to-bake-your-rails/ The article mentions a bunch of different DD rails you could look at and how you can get them closer to the finish of the original. Madbull and G&P are pretty popular choices.
  18. Damn, I'm literally the same distance from the Ringwood branch. Worth a punt for £5!
  19. Nothing quite like the panic on a new NGRS owner's face when they finish that first magazine, pop in another and it won't fire 😳😆 Man, I have the same gun but putting them side by side would be like looking at comparisons of Bruce and Caitlyn Jenner! Not my thing at all but I admire the hell out of that 💪 and that hop looks really interesting.
  20. LC's Engineering Outpost seems to be the go-to for a proper carry-handle upper. ATRG has a great walk through on his blog : https://atrg.blog/2021/11/20/carry-handle-conversions-by-lcs-engineering-outpost/
  21. I'm with you on multicam tropic! My go to at the moment, but I do like mixing it up with M81 as well.
  22. At a risk of derailing the OP's original post (or further upsetting @ImTriggerHappy- ironic name given the subject 🤣) as @Ebeneezer Goodesaid in his post, DMR and sniper are two very different roles. As pointed out by Ebenezer, the 350 FPS limit is usually associated with .2g BBs which are almost never used used by someone using either a DMR or sniper. If you want no MED, neither of these roles are really what you're looking at. Doesn't mean to say you can't play in that way, but it won't be in a traditional DMR or sniper role, as they generally will be using more powerful weapons shooting heavier BBs to get the greater distance associated with these roles. Whatever you decide, play the way that makes you smile the most. That's the most important thing. Also, consider the TM MK 23 suggestion.
  23. Yes, forgive me for trying to make a humorous comment, especially as this forum and indeed this hobby, is well known for its lack of humour.
  24. Right, cutting to the chase, my lad (12) has expressed an interest in old-school, carry-handle M4s, saying that the M4A1 is, and I quote "so cool." The AK itch I guess has been scratched and capitalism for the win! Apart from wanting to hug the little scrap for absorbing all my nonsense over the past few years, and actually appreciating a recent viewing of all the awesome carry-handle goodness that is Black Hawk Down, I'm suppressing my instincts to look at TMs as he's 12, and looking at my go-to budget price brand at decent quality, Cyma. Anyone any experience of the CM.007? Looking at mag compatibility too. Cheers 🏴‍☠️
