  1. Have you got any hop on?
  2. I have a TM Devgru and have to say I'm really happy with it. Had it almost two years and out of the box it was absolutely fine. After swearing I'd leave it alone however, I've recently done exactly as @Speedbird_666 mentioned and tinkered; barrel, gears and spring all replaced. Left the hop alone though so the TM fairy dust is still all there! Yes, it's now shooting exceptionally well, with BBs having more of a sense of urgency getting to targets at decent range, but is it worth the £700+ I've paid to get it to this state? I don't know really. I love it, but don't deny that you could easily get a £250 gun shooting as well if not better for a lot less. The recoil function is ok, but nowhere near the recoil you get from an MWS, obviously. The bolt stop function, although preventing the "am I still firing or is it empty?" question, is a little underwhelming if I'm honest. That all being said, I'm completely satisfied with it now, and the only thing I'll be spending on it now is replacing perishables when they go, and a service now and again.
  3. I think we all accept that airsoft is an expensive hobby, but then again, most hobbies that people commit to are. I have friends that are into various hobbies; fishing, golf, cycling etc and all spend an equal if not greater amount on their chosen activity than I do on airsoft. To answer the original question, site fees in the £25-30 I think are fairly typical and fair. With various family and work commitments I rarely get the chance to go more than once a month though. Lunch is a nice to have (sometimes!) but not essential, and I tend to buy my consumables in bulk from other retailers rather than the site shops. My regular site, Ground Zero, is huge at approximately 150 acres. Renting that much land in the south of England is not going to be cheap. They recently increased their prices by £2 to £27 for members and £32 for non-members. I still don't think that's too bad, and fully accept that sites, like many other businesses, need to try and recoup the losses caused by Covid.
  4. If you're Southampton way, Ground Zero at Ringwood isn't too far. Takes about 20-25 minutes from J3. Big woodland site and loads of players. Had 180 there the other week!
  5. Sounds sensible enough pal. NPAS should help you on the fps although I don't have one, so can't speak from experience. I went with a Magpul MOE+ grip and trigger guard, and this has a PTS Radian charging handle. Like you I'm not a fan of the original. I'm replacing the Crossfire red dot with a Crossfire 1-4x scope. Just waiting on the mount.
  6. What a pisser It's your gun and you do what you want, but there's no need to go too mad on internals. I put in the SixG brass nub and left it at that, but you may want different things, so crack on. Externally there were only two things I felt I had to change; the grip and trigger guard. The rest I just changed because I could 🤣
  7. And now the money pit really opens up! If you're not already, get yourself familiar with Impulse101 for original TM spares, and welcome aboard.
  8. Hope it works pal. I was contemplating putting it on my 416 but think I'll stick to the clone EoTech and magnifier. That's the 3" mount isn't it? Do you mind me asking where you got them both from?
  9. I have a Crossfire red dot which I really like, but I would like a scope option too and this just looks like a good fit. What are you putting it on?
  10. I'm after one of these for my MWS. Much as I'd like to go the whole hog and get a Razor or Strike Eagle, 1-6 or 8x seems overkill for airsoft to me...as does the price tbh.
  11. This advert is COMPLETED!

Selling another impulse purchase that, lovely as it is, I will not use. Gun is literally brand new. Put a single mag through it to chrono only, then it has sat in its box for the past 8 weeks. It's a TM, so a polymer build with a decent weight to it. All packaging is as it was on opening the box. Price includes postage and PayPal.

  12. Picked up a C2R rifle nugget. Very lightweight, very tough laminate skin with good retention on MWS mags, and great retention on PTS mags. Definitely on a par with my Esstac pouches, with the only slight pain being attaching it to my belt. They don't MOLLE on. Instead, they attach by loop velcro to the hook part of a shooters belt, meaning you need to remove all other pouches to slide it into position. Bit of a nause but who doesn't enjoy spending a bit more time fettling with their gear?
  13. Every single time I go airsofting I miss Combat South 😫 The first woodland site I ever played and still the best, four years later. As you said @Grootextremely well run, engaged marshalls and generally a great bunch of players on a superb site. @Baptimus_Primeas many others have pointed out, everyone has bad days, no matter the site. The things you state that you want to get out of a skirmish are not unreasonable. Stick with it, play in a whatever way you want to as long as you find it fun, and don't worry too much about how other people are playing. You say you went with mates, so that's a great way to get your own little strike team going to achieve the objectives. As long as you don't look back on the day and think you wasted your time, it's a decent airsoft day. If you look back and smile, laugh or feel a tingle in your funzone, it's been a great airsoft day. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to pour out a little liquor for Combat South. RIP 🙏
  14. Fire Support get regular restocks. Set up a stock alert and go for the deal with three additional mags 👌
  15. Another little delivery this morning. Baofengs, one with an extended battery and antenna, and a sight protector for the Eotech from Red Dot Engineering That looks mega mate 🤌
  16. It may be blowing a hoolie out there today, but it hasn't stopped DHL and the local postie! Finally sourced some OG-style Cyma metal mid caps (Tiger111HK taking just over a week from order 🤜) a multicam tropic Spiritus-clone chest rig from Weapon762 (again, just over a week from order), a TMC panel I wanted for the kydex SMG insert, which, sadly is as much use as tits on a fish at retaining GBB MP7 mags (cheapy elastic insert will be procured instead) and a few Bio BBs to test. Still waiting on a couple of Baofeng UV5-Rs, which I do have an Ofcom licence for, before the ham wankers get triggered, and also a lens protector for for an Eotech.
  17. Impulse101 is my standard go to for MWS parts. May be worth dropping them a line?
  18. Precisely as @AlphaBearsays, save the pink goop for your piston pal. For your mags, start off by whacking a bunch of maintenance gas in there. You may need to put in quite a bit but it should work. Otherwise, a tiny bit of regular silicon grease on the seals and o-rings is another option. Failing that, replace them.
  19. In the morning I'm a T1 operator ready to wage a one man war. After lunch, a cop on the verge of retirement; no gear, no gameplay, no energy
  20. Haha, yes! I've got some mid caps on the way for the AK and a Chicom he could wear, but I'll keep things as light as simple as possible. Only extra I'll give him is a radio in case he bombs off on a suicide run. Tbf I told him to go and capture the flag at paintball on Sunday and I'd cover him. Truth is I was fucked so needed a breather. He took two shots to the neck which left him looking like he got hickies 😂
  21. All good points boys, thank you. A Dye is off the cards but something of the MI7 ilk will be fine. The cheek weld is not a consideration as I'll be giving him an AK with a hi-cap for simplicity. He'll just walk them on target. Good shout about the fitment. One I'll make sure we square away properly.
  22. That looks and sounds a very sensible choice. Especially like the 'over the head' strap as slippage could be an issue. I'll get an HK ordered I think. Like you say, for me Dyes always conjure up images of bendy little bastards in black skinny jeans, firing 80 rps from HPA-tapped hi-capas. It's made me (unfairly) biased against them I guess. The price tag is also a turn off, especially for a 12 year old first timer.
  23. Cracking suggestions there @Speedbird_666, thank you. I get the whole Dye I4/5 thing, but it's excessive for his needs. Both of these look to be great options. He'll of course want me to stencil a skull on there! Bit pricey for now but good suggestions. If he likes it I may up the budget, but for now the MI7 variant will be fine I think.
