I'm currently using Zero One Pro Gas (which is manufactured by Abbey but cheaper) but may be tempted by UltraAir once I've finished these 12 cans. Fire Support is usually fairly cheap for it too.
-
As @Argyldsaid, look for the video on Ollie Talks Airsoft's channel. Does sound like the can is tits though
-
From what I understand, if the can has a metal nozzle, it doesn't fit the fill valve in the mag as well. You could try the fill and tilt method.
-
I've thought about the GG mod for my mags a few times, but, as @AlphaBearknows, I dont really see the need. Don't get me wrong, I know why people do it, and it's understandable. Given the way I play however, with six mags and a tremendous habit of getting shot frequently, I can always refill gas and bomb up in the dead zone. As long as I can comfortably clear the mag each time, I'm happy.

That's right, I remember now. Great feedback with some very handy tips; lack of card facilities being a massive one as I rarely ever have actual cash now. Got to wonder why this is the case with various operators now. I get that it's often reliant on phone signal, but come on, post-Covid (Covid's ended now, right?) who uses cash as primary currency now? I may well head that way in a couple of months as I need a break from GZ. It's convenient and generally a good experience, but it's all getting a bit samey now, and, as you say, the terrain is a bit of a PIA. The foliage is so dense as to be unpassable for all but the scrawniest of speedy bois! Good shout on Bravo Romeo at Bere. Forgot about them.

Interesting. Iirc we live in the same part of the world, and I'm looking for alternatives to Ground Zero without having to go too far. Spec Ops was a possibility.

When I put gas in. I've just removed the valve and can see that the spring has ridden over the silver bullet bit. At least I know it's just a case of replacing that. Now to find a part that's in stock...
-
@rocketdogbert this is what I'm facing: my plan is to punch out the little pin highlighted, remove the flappy bit, then remove the valve, unless you think that's mental? The mag just vents any gas you put in which would point to the knocker valve, as you said, being jammed.

Have a look here

That's interesting @Mr. No_Face I don't plan on modding my MWS mags but let us now how you get on. I've seen a similar mod for the MP7 mags but, honestly, apart from yesterday's hiccup, I've not had an issue. @rocketdogbert I'll post a pic or video when I take a look tomorrow, so you can see what the deal is.
-
Thought it may be something like that as it was a freshly filled mag. I'll have a play Mags are untouched as are my MWS mags. The MP7 itself is fantastic, so I'm not too disheartened. Be interesting to hear how your MWS gets on after modding the mags. What else was suggested out of interest?

Apologies if this has been asked before, but my search hasn't turned anything up. Took my gas TM MP7 to a skirmish yesterday and everything was going great. Went to the range to test some new ammo (.32 Open Blasters) and after putting a couple of mags through with no trouble, albeit not as good results as my usual .30s, after a couple of shots, the third mag vented all the gas. The gun is fine and continued to work well, but the knocker valve on the mag seems to be stuck in. The plastic piece is just kind slack. Any ideas on how to fix it? Most disassembly videos remove the base plate, not the business end. Help and advice appreciated. Abuse is extra but perhaps warranted. Edit: I should add I was using Zero One Pro Gas, which is similar to Abbey Predator Ultra gas
-
Read what @Davegolfsaid; mags are made with different plastic that can cope with the pressure of the gas. Your nozzle isn't. The fault, whatever it is, caused the nozzle to momentarily store the gas under pressure, and, because it's not designed to do that, it shit itself. Everyone's trying to help and can understand your frustration. Sounds like you're willing to give it, literally, another shot when it's reset to absolutely stock. I do hope it works out for you pal, I really do.

The 'What have you just bought' Thread

Good to know 👍 Wasn't expecting it to be delivered so soon so I'll be giving it a run out on Sunday. -

Here ready for a run out this weekend, the Angry Gun suppressor for my TM MP7 GBB. This is the dummy version without the tracer unit (I don't plsy CQB or night time so don't see the point) and it seems pretty good. It does have the well known barrel wobb;e, but this isn't as bad as I was anticipating, and a bit of black maskers will fix that anyway. Usual great service from Fire Support. -
Wow! I think you may have used just a smidge more torque than necessary. Out of interest, did you use the bolt that came with the grip or the original TM one? Everything I read said to use the OG bolt. That worked like a charm when I fitted my MOE+ grip, and I'm generally heavy-handed. As Alpha said, look for that lower in the classifieds and best of luck 👍

Don't get too disheartened. Airsoft is one of those hobbies where, sadly, the odds of our new toys lasting long before something goes pop is never more than 50/50, even with AEGs. The biggest pain in the arse right now is the lack of available parts, for whatever reason. I liken us having GBBRs to people who tinker with classic/vintage cars or motorbikes; you know they require more maintenance, parts and overall TLC, but fuck me when they perform they are so satisfying.

I thought I had bad luck when I got mine, losing the hop click spring then busting the nozzle return spring, but I think you've got me beat 😆 I always say Impulse 101 but I'm not sure that they can do UK deliveries atm. Get a bunch of stock alerts set up and buy a couple of everything! Good luck with it dude

Could try here https://www.sixmm.com/products/dynamic-precision-enhanced-nozzle-spring-set-for-tokyo-marui-m4a1-mwsblk Not sure on postage. Call Fire Support too, see if they're expecting a restock

As other have commented, this is something you cant really answer, you have to experience. My two pence: I recently switched from Zero One Blitz BBs (local shop/site decent BBs) back to ASG Devil Blasters (great) and I have some Geoffs to try as well. In an effort to convince myself that I'm doing the right thing by way of the planet, I've also got some ASG Open Blaster bio BBs and have to say the .28s were mint out of my TM 416. No surprise to see @AlphaBeartalking about Nuprol 🤣

I concur @Druid799single shot is where it's at. Reassuring that they run fine on 11s as i have a couple kicking around doing nothing 👌 -

Yep, I have a bog standard AK (CM 0.42) and now this. They will be kept absolutely bog standard. The 47 is a but sluggish but I think 7.4 lipos would help rather than NiMh. Will try that later. Chrono-ed last night and was consistent at 335-345fps on .2s (ugh!) at 1.1j. Probably run .25s on these but see when I can get on a range next weekend -
@Davegolfagree about the sticky for the info. I copied and pasted it into a document when I first got my MWS and it's frequently referenced. Having followed your advice I bought some TechT lube but, being pretty much a numpty, I'm still unsure of where to use it. I'm more used to stripping and maintaining RS rifles but that was basically douse everything in PX24 and reassemble 🤣 Haven't used Parker Hale as I have some Abbey oil (not silicone) that I figure is good enough for the metal on metal?
