  2. im willing to bet it will be a mix of both, but biased towards the latter option good luck all the same though
  3. for BB brands, i use Valkyrie BBs, would be worth dropping them a line to see if they would be able to supply you in bulk. also, should be a hard no on ANY prefiring.. if they cant see what they are shooting, then hold fire. definately chrono all guns, even pistols for CQB, may also want to look into colored cable ties (tiny ones) or similar to tag guns, and alternate colours randomly so that its immediately obvious if someone hasnt chronoed their weapon on that particular game day (from what i have seen at sites, this would be a marmite issue, some players will love the idea, while others will loathe the idea, but at the end of the day its something that will keep everyone safe) random spot checks are a good safety measure too, and anyone found using a hot gun should be dealt with appropriately. but depending on the site itself, beware that great changes in temperature could cause gas guns to creep over the limits even if there are no alterations made, so in cases like that a player should be allowed to rechrono using a weaker gas, and if still over then use a different gun, a spare rental, or play without (if its a secondary) as some newer players might get caught unawares case in point was my EMG john wick hi-capa.. went to an (outdoors) site, and during the morning games i filled it with red gas, then as the day went on the temperature rose, so i was spot checked in the afternoon and the gun was shooting hot. due to inexperience, i didnt realise the temperature had had such a drastic effect on its performance. luckilly i hadnt used it in the afternoon games, and was close to safezone, the marshal had a small can of green gas on him, so he allowed me to re-gas with green and rechrono, and the gun was within the limits. after regassing all three mags i had on me, i was allowed to return to play, and at the same time i was educated very effectively about how temperature affects gas guns. i grant you, that this effect may not be as prevalent at CQB sites, but worth keeping in mind. of course, blatant cheats who chrono on green, but then regass with black gas, or players who get caught multiple times for the same offence should be sent home as its clear they are doing it on purpose
  4. Because if they didnt take their hits, there is a good chance the gun he would wield next game would be a real one... it is russia afterall, so who knows
  5. Not had any experience running a business, but you may need to check if you are allowed to use pyro, and let any neigbors on the industrial estate and the landlord know EXACTLY what you are planning to do on site, that any issues can be sorted beforehand. I booked in to a CQB site, (i forget where it was now) on what was to be their first public game day, but they had to shut down for months because they ran a private game the weekend before, and one of the neigboring businesses complained to the landlord because a few grenades got let off. (Bear in mind that this game was run on a weekend, and was within a large warehouse they had built props/walls/barricades inside of) I agree that an insite shop should sell a bit more than just game day essentials, but only if you have dedicated space. Alternatively, if you dont want the hasstle of stocking lots of gear for only the odd game day, then you could ask your local airsoft retailer if they would be willing to provide a pop up shop, and work out an agreement between the two of you. (I regularly play at RIFT airsoft sites, and Onlyairsoft in stevenage provide an onsite shop selling RIFs, mags, eyepro, batteries, accessories etc, while RIFT supply gameday essentials such as gas, bbs and pyro) That would definately be a good thing to organise, and i for one would be up for such a training day
  6. Does anyone know anywhere (preferrably in the UK or europe) that has a cowcow hammer set in stock? What would be the best upgrade barrel to use? (Keeping standard length)
  7. Hi guys, Hoping for some advice on my two sniper rifles. Combining them into one thread to avoid spamming I recently bought the WELL MB4414D from the classifieds, but i have no idea how to strip the rifle down, and im reluctant to start disassembling things randomly, so i was wondering if anyone had a copy of a manual, or a video i could watch showing me how the rifle comes apart. Mainly i want to be able to do maintenance on the gun as well as tinker with (and tune) the internals... that said, i do realise i will need to upgrade it to get better performance out of it, and have sourced a new steel trigger group and replacement cylinder/piston/spring kit for more power from a store in romania (not an airsoft pro set as they are out of stock everywhere). Upgrading will be in the distant future though... priority at the moment is cleaning and maintaining. Next up is the WA2000, looking to see what upgrade parts are available for the gun... i know there is a (dead) thread on the gen.1 WA2000, but i dont know if the parts listed there will be compatible with my 2020 version, or which upgrades to prioritise... ( the thread in question: I have a couple of maple leaf autobot buckings, so im hoping that both rifles will take those buckings, but if not i can always try and get a different one. Thank you in advance 😃
  8. Ordered a few bits the past couple of weeks... Firstly a 3L brand new army surplus hydration bladder, used it last weekend and it was an absolute life saver in the heat. Next, some boring consumables... tin of abbey maintenance gas, can each of green and red gas, and a bulk order of CO2 Capsules (all from ebay) Just ordered some more Valkyrie .25 and .32 bbs (pic as placeholder) And finally, 6 maple leaf autobot hop buckings from @ak2m4... 1x 50 rubber, 2x 60 silicone, 2x 70 silicone and 1x 80 rubber for my various guns, though i do need to find a couple of other parts before i start tinkering too much
  9. Cheers for your help @Adolf Hamster. I have ordered some hop buckings from @ak2m4. now the search continues for barrels , a tippmann nozzle and the hammer for the AAP01
  10. Hi guys, Hoping for a bit of advice regarding parts for some of my guns that i plan on tinkering with over the coming weeks. Firstly, i need a bit of advice as to which hop rubber i would need for a WELL MB4414D sniper rifle, as im not sure the differences between different makes of maple leaf buckings (autobot, MR, macaron and super macaron). Gun is shooting fine at the moment, but i want to feed it heavier ammo. Next, im looking for a decent inner barrel for my tippmann M4V2, as i cannot get a concensus on the owners group FB page. Would also be helpful if anyone knew of a spare Tippmann nozzle in stock so i can do the dwell mod to my gun, but be able to switch back to stock if i have any issues. Lastly, i am looking for an inner barrel and cowcow steel hammer for my AAP01 to preempt the known weakness of the gun during fill auto firing.
  11. I got my avatar made into patches from stitchmeup. Very happy with the quality, and was a quick turnaround too.
  12. got no preference of date, but the sooner the date is confimed, the better chance i have of getting the day off work if i need to. also could do with the address of the site being posted in any confirmation post or DM too please.
  13. Bought a WELL hecate style sniper from the classifieds off of@scorpssells . Assembled today and quickly threw a scope on it to take pics and a couple of test shots in my garden. Looks to be shooting pretty consistent, but i dont have a lot of range to really test it out.
  14. aha... having watched the video again (when not half asleep after work) it looks like the problem is that i am missing the o ring inside the final connector... will try and source a new one and try again over the next week or so
  15. I bought everything from this website as they were the only ones showing them for sale at the time... maybe others have added them since, but i havent looked. https://www.kyairsoft.com/ And thank you. 😃 Black lagoon was one of the first anime series i watched, (i think after evangelion, bleach and love hina), and the very first one to which i bought the dvds And yes... revy is babe... just dont piss her off or remind her about roberta =P
  16. Thank you for the links, will give them a browse. And i was going to avoid ebay specials anyway... definately dont want a high pressure line blowing up in my face XD Yeah, its leaking from the final connection. I stripped the line down and PTFE taped all threads, and when line is pressurised but not connected to the gun its fine, but if i connect it to the gun, even with the spare union fitted, it leaks. I even took the circlip off and stripped the slide check to make sure it wasnt an o ring inside gone, and there were no burrs on the slide check body or nicks in the o rings. Im just annoyed that the coupling and line have only lasted me 3 or 4 game days... i would expect the line to last longer than that... Plus i have no idea why the union on my gun got such burrs from the connection on the line. (Photo included for ref)
  17. Not exactly just bought... but turned up from hong kong today... 2x WE beretta 92 Sword Cutlass Special (Revys guns from Black Lagoon) 4x spare mags Edit: Also sailed through customs without incurring charges 😃
  18. Just messaged the owner of my local airsoft sites, and gave him a link to this thread, to prewarn him incase this individual migrates to their facebook pages... Might be worth everyone doing the same with their local sites too... if we can get word out about the poor quality and lack of safety ceertificates, plus his poor "salesman" attitude it will prevent some less informed newbie making a mistake in buying one... or worse, someone loses an eye
  19. As the title suggests, im looking for places to buy a new HPA remote line, or at the very least connector at the gun end. I have a tippmann M4V2, and was using a Ninja remote line with slide check. At the end of my last game day, after running for a short period using pistol and grenades, i reconnected the line to my gun, only for it to leak air around the union. The leak was so bad that the gun was unusable. I swapped the union on the gun, as it looked to have burrs around where the union locks into it, but its still leaking. What i am looking for is: - remote line, ideally with slide check or similar so i can quickly detach the line without turning off the bottle if i need to drop to sidearm - decent brand - preferrably under £40 - is in stock with a UK seller Not fussed over microbore or wide bore Alternatively, anywhere i could source a replacement adapter for the ninja line (gun end)
  20. Thats who most of mine were from.. as well as PK Patchworks... That is true... Well... sod it... heres my collection of patches that have arrived over the past few weeks... plus i have another batch stuck in customs hell... This is a good idea.. i would be up for that
  21. That reminds me... i need to get a patch wall for the numerous patches i have acquired... Not sure if i will be allowed to post pics, as many are NSFW... I dont want to piss off the mods =P
  22. they did indeed. but i was glad to find somewhere that had a low minimum order, as i would have no use for 50/100/1000 of those patches but im sure you said before on this thread that they did a minimum of 1...
  23. Just got these through the post today. Ordered a couple of custom patches from stitchmeup.biz of my logo (after a recommendation from @TheFull9 ) Very good quality, very reasonable pricing and, considering the custom nature of the patches, a quick turnaround time. Cant wait to rock them on my gear at the next game day
  24. PM away... if there really are no issues with what hes selling, then he wont mind proving it... If not, then the likelyhood that hes flogging cheap shit thats actually dangerous to peoples eyesight is too big a risk to be allowed to continue
  25. looking forward to giving this site a try. i booked a place at the AI500, and hopefully i can put together a couple of different loadouts for variety 😃
