@HuttArmouries will you be attending the AFUK meetup? (all going well of course) if so i will bring the mateba along with me, as i still need to get a holster made for it, and i know we spoke about it last year before things went completely crazy... (if you are still open to making the holster of course 😃 )

that can be arranged 😃 true, but that is something that i will be putting together over the next few months, as aside from the AFUK meetup, i dont expect to be attending too many CQB games over the early part of this year

im a bloke, so that wont be happening XD but i will be getting a cross draw holster so i can use them as a matching pair in CQB i WILL however be putting together a Togusa cosplay to go along with the Mateba revolver i own, (and yes, complete with mullet wig =P)

well, my new years resolution to not buy any more airsoft stuff (aside from consumables) has already been broken.... bought a number of things from airsoft atlanta... -multiple patches, (mostly WeaponsGradeWaifu patches) - Armourer works Glock type drum mag for my AAP-01 (nowhere in UK has one in stock that i can see) -MAXX ME hop unit with built in tracer -dead rag in pouch i also found the WE limited edition Black lagoon M92 pistols in stock with a supplier in hong kong, so i have bought 2 along with 4 spare mags.

well, i now have a dillema... beginning of this month, the black AAP and rail sets i ordered from wgcshop arrived, as well as the folding stock i ordered from airsoftworld.... then i went to an airsoft game and entered the raffle run by Onlyairsoft as part of their onsite shop, and i won a tan AAP.... what to do? do i keep both and alternate? do i set one as a carbine and keep one as a pistol? do i sell one?

If i am eligible to attend, i would like to meet and put faces to names, and also check out all the cool guns everyone has, T̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶i̶ ̶c̶a̶n̶t̶ ̶a̶f̶f̶o̶r̶d̶ and have some fun to try and forget the trainwreck that is 2020. I would need plenty of advance notice so that i could try and work around shift patterns, as i start a new job next week and i will need to try and work around my new shift pattern.

well, i have ended up spending WAY too much the last few weeks... i bought the tag rounds and shells that @DanRunham listed in the classifieds a couple of weeks ago ready for RIFT airsofts milsim event... but that has now been cancelled thanks to the latest from the government 😡 i also went to my airsoft supplier (combatuk / onlyairsoft in stevenage) to stock up on grenades and bbs... and i ended up buying a new gun.... ARES WA2000 plus nuprol scope... and scope riser to get proper sight picture

already got some abbey 35 oil for my airguns, and i will look into using it on the sten, but i think the manual may be a typo as the steel looks to be "blued", which in itself is a corrosion inhibitor, but i may be wrong i do have a p37 webbing harness and a pair of pouches, but to be able to skirmish the sten i will need more mags, and thus more pouches (or even the bandolier) but with money so tight at the moment, i wont be buying anything much for a few months

im still waiting for mine. nowhere in UK had any, so i ordered from wgcshop in taiwan along with rail sets for mounting a red dot, but they have been out of stock since earlier this year. sent them a message to chase them up, and waiting to hear back from them

have you looked at soldier of fortune? they seem to have a couple of sten parts for sale including skeleton stocks. given that the northeast sten is made to the same dimensions as the real steel, these should fit... https://www.sofmilitary.co.uk/sten-gun-no3-mk1-skeleton-stock.html https://www.sofmilitary.co.uk/skeleton-rear-pistol-grip-for-sten-gun.html as for anti corrosion, i havent added anything to the gun myself, and i dont believe the previous owner did either, and while i havent noticed any rust forming on it,i am looking into what anti corrosion products would be suitable i only got the sten a couple of weeks ago from the classifieds here, and havent skirmished it yet as i need to get more mags and suitable mag pouches for the 37 pattern webbing

@B.S awesome loadout pics, and once i have some more money i intend on making my own ww2 loadout, most likely british airborne troops at arnhem. I have a mk2 sten i bought recently through the classifieds, and i had the same issue with loading the mags.... until i saw a video from northeast themselves that show them using a speed loader. They hold a finger either side of the feed lips to keep bbs from popping out either side and then use the speed loader to force the bbs straight down through the top of the feed lips into the magazine. Its a bit fiddly, but its less of a ballache than loading 32 bbs by hand Pic of my sten included below, posing besides james hollands new book i acquired last week. Im also wondering if there is a way to get a barrel assembly seperate as a spare part, so i can get the end of the outer barrel machined out. That way i can fit a longer inner barrel to use with the mock suppressor

Sorry for the very late reply @rj1986 , havent been looking in on this thread much the last couple of weeks. the mateba in the pics was bought online from an italian airsoft shop. The second mateba i ordered was off yahoo auctions, but i had to use a proxy bidding service to bid on it as you cannot register on yahoo japan without a japanese address, credit card etc.... I used www.whiterabbitexpress.com as my proxy service, provided them with the link to the auction page and set my max bid, then they did the legwork. I did have to pay a small fee for them to process the gun, inspect it and pack it for shipping etc, and then i had to pay UK customs (only £45). My phone has also been having issues uploading photos directly... all the pics i uploaded last couple of weeks into the thread on upgrading my nuprol pioneer defender i had to upload into discord, and then insert the pics as URLs... pain in the arse

while i cant spend any amount of money on new kit at the moment, i am thinking of putting together a ww2 british loadout, possibly a para at arnhem. does anyone have any links to get accurate uniform pieces? ideally repro as i feel a little uneasy using genuine kit if i can avoid it. as for the weapons, im looking at either sten guns, thompson SMGs or the G&G lee enfield (if it ever gets released) and a friend of mine in america reckons i should also do a ww1 trench tommy too if i get the lee enfield...

Been on another spending spree the last couple of weeks... Bought some patches.. including a Ghost in the Shell section 9 patch to go with the mateba revolver i bought last week. also bought some spare mags for my SMC9 from an airsoft shop in germany the only place i found them in stock... Also bought a pack of 5 mid cap mags for my M4 and a nuprol speedloader in preparation for attending milsims next year.. And a replacement battery charger (imax B6 AC v2) and an adapter to change the charge lead from deans to mini tamiya And finally an ICS electric winding hi cap drum and remote lead from user @Jammanic (for general skirmishing and a possible future m4 based MG build).... Oh.. and im also bidding on another Marushin Mateba in japan.... this one is a limited edition 8mm calibre version in Ghost in the Shell packaging (and will be kept purely as a wall hanger if i win it).. as opposed to the 6mm general skirmish variant i purchased from italy last week, and may use on occasion if i find a suitable holster for it... And now if you will excuse me.... i need to lock my wallet away where i cant spend anymore money...

Agreed. And their licencing issue may be down to the 7 round gas mags, as i remember reading a while back that they were having issues with them. Either way i hope they resolve the issues and release such an iconic rifle

i contacted G&G on a seperate matter (ordering replacement feed lips for an SMC mag) and asked about the lee enfield. apparantly they have run into a licensing issue, so they do not have a release date. i know i will definately be in line to buy one when it is finally announced though

ah, forgot to upload the other day, but i bought the same charger and a lipo bag that arrived the other day... also ordered quit a few patches for fifferent moods... will post a pic of them all when they arrive (4 different ebay sellers).... and i also hammered the credit card to buy a bit of a unicorn.... a marushin mateba revolver and some spare shells... will definately post pics when THAT arrives from Italy =D
