Hi Hamster, The Hi-Capa mags will work fine even if you go cross brand. The only style to avoid with a 5.1 gun are 3.8 mags as the magazine itself is shorter and will not mate with the mag catch of a 4.3/5.1 grip. Capacity on a Hi-Capa mag will depend upon which baseplate the mag is fitted with. The stubbier 4.3 plate sacrifices a few rounds

Ruger 10/22 is America’s plinkster and the BX25 magazine is incredibly popular I’ve got something brewing with a mate to get some BX25 shells printed that fit over a normal aeg MP5 mid cap so they’ll end up looking like this

As I’ve got a custom outer barrel being made for this KC and I was really bored, I cut down the stock outer and wrapped it in vinyl. Stubby, full auto build is coming together

Google oil flash fill explosion and then trust someone else to maintain a compressor. There have been some pretty gnarly explosions from oil getting into the bottle regulators. I’m just about to buy a dive tank as I’m in the same position as yourself

Tried out Rift Abingdon over the weekend. Amazing site but I’ve never experienced so much poor sportsmanship and god-mode warriors. One chap took one right to the cheek, shook his head and went straight back to returning fire?! A few times, I thought of the amazing words of The head Marshall at my normal site “They’re not cheating, you’re just shit” - so I went to the range to test my gear a few times to make sure I wasnt just missing. Hearing the ring of the steel targets, Im convinced I wasn’t the issue. In the end, I got fed up wasting heavy ammo on people who wouldn’t call hits and played with pistols instead. Oh yeah, a traveller stag do also promised to knock out one of our groups teeth in the car park for throwing pyro. Interesting site, definitely has potential. Bumped into a few familiar faces who play there regularly who’ve assured me they’ve never seen poor sportsmanship like that there before so I’m going to give it another go on the 6th Feb. So that HPA mags adaptor arrived. It’s only gone and changed my life. Gone is the heavy, cumbersome drum. In are the dinky 65rd aeg MP5 mags. The adaptor is extremely tight fitting in the magwell leading to extremely good consistency, I put about 50 rounds through the chrono on my DMR build and ended up with a deviation of +-3fps! I’ve put the Rogueworx Steel bolt assembly in that gun and the noise it makes it essentially porn. I’ll take some photos today and, if I can work out how, a cheeky video of how loud the DMR build is and how quiet the Sniper

Getting ready for tomorrow’s game so I thought I’d share a quick snap of the current state of my KC02’s Edit: Before why two of the same gun? Top one is a 1.8j semi auto GBBR build and the bottom one has the blowback disabled for a single action 2.3j build.

On the tweaky weirdo note, matching load outs? There’s an AEG in one of those photos but something full auto, HPA and blowback is being worked on to replace that

Thanks Steve, still love the Capas but something about the 10/22 design had piqued my interest. The fact that the KC02 is secretly a 30 year old Tanio Koba design pushed me further down the rabbit hole. The mechanism is so amazingly sensitive. Things like the factory paint on the disconnector affect the cycling! It’s the perfect platform for a tweaky obsessive.

Because I’m “That Guy” and I couldn’t put up with the barrel having .45 markings and the BC4.3 slide having 9mm… Kyle’s sorted me out a BLANK AM barrel. My extreme Airsoft-ADHD can ctfo for now
