Lockdown has made for quite a few changes to the ole-loadouts. Here’s everything in their current form. Eotech will be changing to a much smaller RMR style sight on the AK. AK - LCT base. M140 DSG build running 340fps at 35rps on a 7.4V lipo. Combat union AK hop was a pleasure to install and is the nicest Hop I’ve handled. Makarov is rocking a Maple leaf bucking and tensioner with a crazy jet barrel. M4 - Specna base. M140 DSG Running 300fps at c.50rps on an 11.1V lipo. Jefftron Leviathan gives a 5rd burst instead on full auto as I’m not a total div, despite the Novristch SSP1 and Silver trim. L85 - ICS. Stock internals, rewired to a Gate Nano hard. M14 - Cyma base. Wooden stock. Semi auto locked and bang on 450fps with no hop applied. Gate Nano hard in the stock. Hawke scope is lovely and I would thoroughly recommend!

It will just be nice to have an AK style hop that stays set during a game, the slider style always seem to have a mind of their own

That’s about the first feedback I’ve seen on the web regarding the Combat Union, I hope you know how reassuring your words are! Half of me was expecting a £60 shiny turd.

Lockdown is dangerous for my wallet. Curiosity ended up with a purchase of a LCT 106 to use for parts, then I had a spare LCT V3 gearbox just sitting there next to an ASG Infinity 45,000... SHS DSG SHS 32:1 gears M140 Spring Maple leaf Macaron 50* Combat Union AK Hop Gate trigger cables Pack’o’shims Retro Arms 9 tooth piston (can’t be arsed to break out the dremel) Should be good fun building that when it all arrives. I’ve had my eye on the combat union hop for a while. It’s probably no better or worse than the modify one it’ll be replacing but IT IS very shiny!

It’s a bit of an exaggeration but not total bollocks. I’ve got about a 50-60fps variation moving the spring guide from the outermost and innermost settings. Still wouldn’t pay that for a second hand gun tho!

Nunchuck style 7.4, there’s not a lot of room for much in foregrip

The bolt was a bit of a tight squeeze! I had to file off a bit of the tang that keeps it straight in the receiver before it would travel properly. Feels great now it’s in! To be as descriptive as possible, it goes “schlunk” now where the original mock bolt went “ting”. It also looks the part with the top cover open! Theyve got two types, a short one for “U” style gas blocks and a longer one for more standard front ends.

I completely forgot about the EBB kit, I stuck one of these in instead. Feels very satisfying to rack but doesn’t have the EBB feature.

Been itching to throw together my ideal modern AK for a while, here it is. LCT externals, full LCT bolt and Gate NanoHard tucked in the buffer tube. Feels solid as a rock and actually weighs less than the old unicorn kit it has replaced!

Few bits for an AK build have arrived. Just need to burn that 7.62 mag that shipped with the AK! LCT AK106, B18 railed handguard, Viking vertical grip, 74SU sight rail and a replica Omega3 RDS.

I was actually going to write something along those lines in the "weakness" thread! The M4 platform I find quite intuitive but I can't hit a barn door with my sidearms! This thing's set to safe/binary/5rd burst, not even I need to spray 40rds at someone to get a hit!

I’ve been trying to find an appropriate AKs74u front set to repair a 14 year old Unicorn kit For ages and ended up just buying a new LCT LCK106 last night instead for parts. There will be left-overs so PM me if you are after a new LCT GB, Charging handle or receiver and folding stock. The Unicorn is now a bit like trigger’s mop. I don’t think there’ll be a single piece left from the original kit but it’s the same old workhorse I’ve had for 14 years...
