  1. Out of interest, does any ones nozzle return spring twang? Mines obviously seen a few game days and some red gas on the cold days. Its started to do the old springy twang noise. Normal or is it about to let go?

  2. Fit my PTS Centurion arms rail today. I was scared it wouldn’t work but she fitted happily 😍

awaiting the the rest of my parts to come. Magpul stock, pistol grip and fore grip.

Ive also returned to the stock barrel and bucking to see how that fairs . Might go down prommy purple, prommy barrel job. Keep it simple

Im pretty sure ive spotted fellow softers looking on enviously when you reload :D

I find it just as entertaining when you move up to a group of people on your team, you start letting rip on the enemy, and your team snap their heads round in suprise not realising its a GBBR and how noisy it is. 😄

Is the Crazy Jet for MWS a specific model, or is it just the 'Crazy Jet for GBB' that's required? I got the impression the MWS barrels weren't quite VSR/GBB spec.

Mines just a 300mm GBB/VSR CJ barrel I had spare when I tried it in my Striker AS01

I think Tokyo Marui cut their stock barrels differently. So after market buckings dont work with their stock barrels. I tried to put a TNT bucking on a stock TM HK45 barrel and wouldnt fit at all.

This is most likely due to a stock barrel, being designed to with with a bucking with a standard contact patch, not one like Maple leaf, or TNT.

I have the SixG nub, as well as the Maple Leaf Omega nub. I was trying it with the omega, for the extra contact, and that's the setup that it seemed pissed with. Cant work out why either!

Refit and keep checking before you put it back together. Make sure you pair the TNT with the crazy jet barrel

I bought one to try but haven't fielded it yet. It doesn't seem to sit right on the stock TM barrel. It sits perfectly on a crazy jet, but when I assemble the hop chamber and check hop amount, it looks like the patch is uneven. Have you tried one in an MWS?

Yes. That’s because the MWS stock barrel has different shape.

You need to run a h nub, like so

That way you get a nice concave patch. I’m trying a trimmed down Laylax nub now for more contact area

  7. @MikeL you do need a barrel adapter to fit an aftermarket rail. I had to order one from Asia. As 99% of stores are out of stock here in the UK. I’m now sitting on it trying to decide what rail I wanna run.

So update on my hop set up. Been running a 300mm crazy jet. Which I’m now going to polish up. TNT TR 50 degree and element H nub. These are plastic. And would work far better than the stock nub. As they are solid. And are cheaper than the brass SIGX one several here are using. Problem is the TNT is a R hop style bucking. And would benefit a larger contact nub.

I had a chopped down prommy bridge nub. Some gentle sanding with a needle file. And she fits. A little snug but still will release the tension when the hop is wound down.

The element H nubs still worked great. But now I should get full potential out of the bucking.

Is that the length you want? Pretty sure I have abrand new unused, Promy  6.03, but it’s 370mm lol

I run red gas currently as its a bit chilly in the mornings. So im a bit worried it will raise the FPS over the limit if I run a longer tightbore. My FPS dropped with the 300mm Crazy jet.

If I remember rightly, stock barrel is 250mm too

  9. I run a R hop prommy in my G&G M4, and that was silly accurate with great range. Might head back down that route I think.

I personally think the Crazy jets are just a gimmick of a barrel. Specially when running the HK45 its not very consistent at all

  10. @marine You can modify VSR buckings and run a R hop on a bridged VSR barrel. Failing that theres always the TNT TR hop buckings which simulate exactly that. Its what I run and does well enough for me currently. Other than that there are the Maple leaf buckings. But their QC is rather hit and miss currently.

Bonus action shot from the weekend. Believe it or not but both my P mags work superb!

  11. Stored with a burst of Nuprol 2. Was using Nuprol 3 on a cold day. There not brimmed to the top with gas. But saying that I have stored mags from Pistols and my KC02 full of gas and never had an issue

  12. Has any one had any issues with the exhaust valve (Knocker valve etc) leaking on their Marui mags? If mine are gassed up, and you hold them to ear you can hear them slowly popping away. Its not a massive leak. And the gas will stay in a long time. So its only just a tiny leak.

This has happened in both my Marui mags

I've heard and seen demonstrated we really bad things about the BAD lever. Basically it makes safe operation a nightmare as it becomes way too easy to accidentally drop the bolt and if the have your finger in the trigger guard it's a good way to get NDs

Real life or airsoft? Or both even?

  14. Okay! So couple of goodies arrived today. These are not real steel. The sling plate was a okay fit. Doesn’t mesh up with the buffer tube very well unless I push on it while tightening the castle nut. Time will tell how it fairs in the strength department.

now the BAD lever. Jesus Christ I’m happy it was cheap. “Some fetlling to fit”. Had to use a different screw as the one supplied was about to round off. Then Dremmel a good chunk out of it for the bolt stop to even work. Then had to unwind the stock tube 2 turns for it to catch with the Marui mags. The P mags wouldn’t lock back with it on.

So a wasted adventure. I’ll try the Laylax one once I have better funds.

In short. Don’t bother with the clone Magpul BAD lever. Get Laylax.

At least that’s a sling point ticked off my list

Apologise for the double post. But could some one crack their receiver in two and just tell me how many whole threads remain between the receiver and buffer tube please. Mine has two. Wanna make sure the tube is in the correct amount. Should of checked before hand...
