  1. Had one for a little bit. Has a "Mosfet" but doesnt really act like one.

    I jammed my other M4's hop set up into it, a better motor. So I cant comment on stock performance

    But for looks, weight, and nice easy MP5 mags. Its a nice replica.

    Get the OE King Arms plastic MP5 mags, metal ones dont fit.

    Simple and cheap. Dont know long term reliability.

  2. So spill the beans you lot. Give me your opinions on this gun.

    I have a Scorpion Evo A3, and I agree with many others. Its probably one of the best AEG's out there. But Im still not a massive fan of the sewing machine.
    More of a GBB person. The bolt stop function is nice. But I still fancy a bit more on top. (Call me greedy).

    So honest thoughts, gripes etc. I know its probably a while till I can get a hold of one. But I want to be sure before I invest in a NGRS.

    The TM MP7 GBB ( despite its reduced size ) is better than the MWS.

    * Easier to load mags
    * High round capacity per mag
    * Mags are less temperamental with filling

    * So darn pointy

    * So pretty
    * Pew pew pew KAKAKAKAKKAKAKAKA

    At least you can get parts for the MWS if it breaks.

    MP7 is good, but finicky and fragile.

    I totally misread that as you should buy a TM then it slowly got worse haha. Cheers. Sounds like the MP5 wins just gotta find one in stock

    I imported mine from KY airsoft, just make sure they put your UKARA on the front of the box

  5. Okay having owned both:

    WE MP5 SD3:

    Ive owned two of these guns. And it has two flaws. First is the MOST annoying thing on the planet. The hop up. The hop up on this gun is poorly made. And will overhop .4's to the moon even on zero hop.

    The gun also only seems to like Maple leaf buckings and barrels. So to remedy this issue. I run two Silverback supressor spacers, a 310mm Crazy Jet, and a 50 degree Autobot with Omega nub. Now it will lift .28's nice and straight. The Spacers are a must as the inner barrel is too short to reach the supressor, and the stock one is a odd size. Ive tried a normal GBBR barrel with my got to hop rubber, the modify tan. And I had more misfeeds than ever.

    Second issue is bolt bounce. Both the MP5's ive owned seem to have a bit of bolt bounce, and you'll end up with BB's in the trigger unit. And loosing functions, semi auto fire, saftey etc. I dont know a fix for this yet. But it only happens so often.

    TM MP7 GBBR: Mine was bought 3rd/4th hand and neglected. But these suffer from leaky magazine base plates, rear chassis brakes. Nozzle failure. OEM spares are near impossible to find. But I think a New MP7 will serve you better than a WE MP5. Kindle it with the right parts and you'll be golden. I suggest the Laylax rear swivle sling plate which will reinforce the chassis at the back, stock up on Eagle 6 Magazine O rings. And be prepaired to modify, or remove the full auto disconnector to eliminate the "Dead trigger". Bolt stop on empty can be "meh" but if your willing to modify the bolt. Bolt lock will be more reliable. A guns modify Nozzle with OEM rocket valve will see 330FPS on green gas with hop set to .28's. Modify Tan bucking or Stock bucking. Barrel a good clean and polish and it will range well.

    Read my thread here:

  6. I pulled apart my MWS to service the hop/ polish the barrel today out of boredom. And the mod tan in there is shot.

    Ive dropped in the Marui standard rubber with the SiXG for now. Not that I can really test but has any one found a better rubber than the mod tan paired with the SiXG nub or is the Tan still the supreme combo still?

    Just out of interest, If not ill order another as they are only a tenner plus postage on Bullseye

    Anyone got any advise to make the trigger less...erm....poo?

    Other than buying a completely different trigger box..

    I pulled the trigger mech apart, installed a Guns modify trigger, but sanded down the sides and polished them. Polished the two box halfs. Installed a Dytac spring set. Now I have a decent trigger. Its still a tad gritty. But resets nicely. Its mainly due to the Marui trigger box.

    I also find aerosol silicone lube works best with the trigger box. As its rather thin and runny.

  8. I went to order 3 KWA Vector mags and some other bits. They stated they wouldnt ship.

    Removed the mags, and they would ship. So I ordered my fill valves and hop tool. and tried a seperate order for the mags

    If I dropped the mags to 2, they'd ship. Its most likely a weight issue I think.

    So I now have 2 mags coming from Rainbow 8. And hopefully 3 more coming from a Paintball site in the States... if they got my customer support email about my post code... time will tell.

    Hi all, I am joining the MWS gang soon and have a few questions as I am a total noob.

    How can I adjust power? i plan to do the mag mod for green gas and have seen it can increase the FPS? I want to be able to adjust the power on game day so I am not over the limit.

    Do I need to change the nozzle spring? I see they can break

    What hop mods are needed to lift .32?

    Are there any other out of the box mods that are recommended?

    Ill help:

    1. The green gas mod may see a very slight increase of power. How ever stock MWS on Nuprol 2 is well within field limits. Bump it to 3.0 for winter use. If thats still not what you are after. There are NPAS kits which you drop into the nozzle which will help regulate FPS to your desired level

    2. Not right away. But buy one as a spare, whether OEM part or a uprated spring set is handy.

    3. The first hop mod you'll need is a better nub to lift more than a .25-.28, most of us here will run a SiXG Brass nub. Works great with the stock rubber or a modify tan rubber

    4. Other than the SiXG Nub, thats it. Thats all you *really* need to do to get the gun to perform well.

    EDIT: These are all obviously my 2 cents. Other peoples will differ

    The MWS has regular AEG threads and takes AEG barrel nuts. However, if you are using the stock outer barrel you will need a few millimeters of outer barrel shims or an “adapter ring” for the MWS, because the TM outer barrel “lip” (not sure what to call it) is out of spec and requires shims if you use an aeg barrel nut or the outer barrel will not be secure and wobble a lot.

    Yep already got one of them in stock, and im suing a Laylax barrel kit. No shim required for me!

  11. Been a while since I’ve added here. This thing still giving me jip!

    Rear slung mounted added. Part of the back plate replaced after a little bridge over the stock broke.

    Ive modified the bolt slightly, grinding material away with a deremel to increase bolt lock reliability.

    All mags are now have been serviced. New base plates O rings fitted thanks to Eagle 6, plus a smear of RTV. I put WAY too much in some last time.

  12. In this sort of weather you want to be running the MWS on Red (Nuprol 3.0). FPS still wont be an issue. You should only fill the mags until it spurts liquid gas at you.

    Replacement Nub, whether its the SixG brass, or a Plastic H nub is a must. The SixG brass nub and a mod tan bucking will happily lift .4g bb's.

    Another question... How does one attach a Mk18 rail or any rail as a matter of fact that has those attachment bolts on the collar nut... The bolts could potentially smack against the receiver causing damage. that's what happened to that chap that was selling his MWS on Prefired... Incidentally, I have a PTS barrel ring which fire support sell and I don't think that's appropriate to use? Or if it is how do you use it with the rails?

    https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/pts-adapter-ring-for-marui-m4-mws-gbb

    Guess it depends on the barrel nut. My Mk18 has a plate that sits behind the nut. Then the free float rail bolts to it. And the lower section bolts to the upper.

    I dont need to run a adapter ring as Im using Laylax's modular outer barrel. But if your using the stock one you may need to.

    So whilst waiting for my bits to arrive from the Far East, I decided to try an Angry Gun MPA nozzle. It’s the one where you can vary the FPS. I put it into the bolt carrier with the valve opened fully (vary it use an Allen key which is supplied), pumped up mag with Abbey Ultra and stuck in some Geoff’s 0.30’s and it chrono 330-350fps!!  This was on a full gassed up mag. Needless to say I was kinda surprised and the mag used its gas pretty fast. So, I adjusted the valve with a lot of trial and error and got it down to 280fps.

    Negatives:

    1. There is a twang each time time the bolt cycles forward. It’s coming from the spring. I hazard to guess that there is no tubing in the spring which is this causes the spring to resonate

    2. Bbs- It seems to be pushing a bb into the chamber perhaps a tad too far  and it rolls out of the barrel. I was testing on zero hop using a marui bucking and the SixG nub. I’ll set the hop for 0.3s and try again.

    3. The FPS consistency isn’t as good as I was expecting. There is way too much variation.  I think this may need to go back!

    1. Normal, real AR's do this. Its the buffer spring

    2. Apply hop, and the BB's wont roll out. This is normal on zero hop on a lot of guns. Depends on the type of rubber used and if any hop is applied.

    3. Its a gas gun. FPS consistency isnt a strong point My Glock 19 will start at 260 and finish a mag on 240ish. NPAS's are fiddling and take time to find the sweet spot. Failing that run the stock bolt. You cant fail with that. Hell I bought an entire spare off some one here.

    Have you run a GBB rifle before? If not, get a Krytac. If you have, you know the limitations, buy one

    Got multiple GBB rifles and SMG's. MWS, GHK AUG, ASG MP9 to name a few. So im now well rehearsed in GBB issues. In fact had issues with my MP9 today, Nozzle fins snapping and the bolt stop notch wearing.

    Just major concern is spares. I cant use my TM MP7 dude to lack of spares in desperately needs.

    Im debating the Krytac for cold days like today, The AUG struggled badly but the MP9's light bolt made it work flawlessly, until the bolt wouldnt lock back, in the tepid afternoon. But I do prefer GBBR's.

  15. Looking through this thread, and only seeing one on a skirmish. I curious weather I should take the plunge at some point and get one of these holy grail SMG's

    Are they worth getting? I'd mainly Skirmish it, not a wall hanger. Im aware of the parts issue and lack of them. But I dont want to splash out that sort of money on a gun I cant really use.
