Airsoft weapons from Scifi films...
Jaylordofwaargh replied to gavinkempsell's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
@TacticalWaifu I was sure we had a tread like that at some point, although it might have been a more generic 'what would you like an Airsoft version of...' My list of owned sci-fi weapons is more accidental (Sig 226) and as above my list of 'would like' sci-fi Airsoft weapons is rather long -

I think some sellers are happy to wait it out for the right (loaded) buyer. You call it unicorn poo but someone out there loves the idea of the sparkle.... We know that toys priced around 45-60% of RRP sell here, I personally don't even count the gear the pews are sold with, if they were worth anything you would split them right? So yeah, offering 50% of new is not beyond the pale. It maybe for the seller though. -

I do admire the ballsy 60's style advertising, that is quite something. As to the actual ad, well, the audacity. -

I too would like to see reality in a while new light -
The R32 supposedly fixes some of the R31 issues, does have a extended mag, is sleek and is still in one of my baskets on some website or another.....

I have one of these! Been in and out of the box whilst fit/refit/fix things but as yet, I have not found a home for it

*Insert "Archer, phrasing".gif Yes, yes it does. Also welcome to the 'i can fix this, how hard can it be crew' Yes, magnets are your friend -

Am I missing something? Wasn't there several comments on many threads how stagnant the rif selection is and here some of you good folks are, drooling over what is essentially an M4 variant....? I guess that is what I am missing, ok so is is a Brit L119 variant so the upper is almost different but it is still the M4/ar silhouette.

The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread

Ok cool, thanks for the clarification, wasn't clear that it was same game after clearing the base. In which case well done on the high kill count Lol, two responses to this 1. Fair enough or 2. Excuses excuses! As @Dan Robinsonsaid, a sports drink that helps boost the salts and minerals lost through sweat can make a difference but hydration is a process that can take days. I am also aware I sound preachy, sorry for that. -
Worth mentioning Exeter Airsoft and the chaps that run driver wood. They recently purchased the land which is a huge deal for Airsoft down that way, there are also a number of sites that I know of that are really putting in the time and effort to upgrade Thier sites. The common one is almost always owning or having "best use" of the land.... As to number of players, well I will get to play maybe three/four times a year so I am maybe one of those that are infrequent at sites....

Wait, so. Not headed to start location for the turn around gaining an unfair advantage against an advancing team... Clarify this one for me, please.... Glad you are having fun You need to hydrate more....not to be preachy but the chances are you were underwatered and didn't replace electrolytes/salts. It is one of the biggest reasons for that "knackered" feeling. -

So, due to boredom, I clicked "Satellite" And it's so much worse, there isn't even a sheep track but does appear to have a couple of "businesses" registered to the address -
Think we are missing a prime contender, a gun that was cursed from design through real world application and Airsoft Folks, I present the (Ares) L85..... No I will not apologise for uncropped screen shots

That is great to hear that you had fab weekend and are looking forward to the next. I do like Alpha as a site, need to get back there soon.... Anxiety and that little voice can so so much damage some times. Glad to hear the ticker is sorted. Dare I ask what the brand and issues with the 1911 are? That pistol platform is on the "list" (but quite far down) -
Words and thoughts to live by.

Wouldn't know if video was any good, lost me with the self sales pitch..... I'll just trust the copy paste from legislation that you good folks do already....

If true that it has "never been skirmished" then they could be using the retailer "check" / "sign off", where bulldog .12's were used Still for £100, is this Mack's worthy?... (Not actually aware yet of "new" price so this may not age well.... -
The take down and first time "trouble shooting"
Jaylordofwaargh replied to Jaylordofwaargh's topic in Electric Guns
Ok, so here is where I currently am with it. It looks and sounds (?) Like it is not completing a cycle each trigger pull, and then on some pulls the motor still doesn't spin. The trigger unit itself seems fine and has solid connections so..... Thoughts? VID_20230601_093713.mp4 -

So it was indeed the tappet plate not engaged with the nozzle correctly... The time constraints I have mean I only get 20/30min slots to do the the work. Yesterdays work included watching one of @Luke NegAir vids of a V2 which was eye opening as to the shimming process, and now I need a bag of shims.... I do need to pick up a long shafted screwdriver at some point, using a butter knife is just getting tedious for the buffer tube -

I get enough of that from work! It's a broken camera and it's on the replace once pew is working, maybe.... "Did you put the Tappet plate spring back properly?" Yes...? ...but I am now also going to track down your V2 adventure thread. The trickiest part of getting my box back together was not have the tappet plate slip up on to the gear so it could actually close -

I'll hold up on the offerings, the fecker doesn't feed properly! So, is it a case of fiddling with the hop unit to get it in the right place or is there more to it than that? I'm off to find threads about this very subject now..... -

Ok. So. Looking for suitable offerings for the Machine Spirit of my 1st gun. It came apart, each piece looks as it should (minor) wear as expected. I (finally) test the motor separately...and it spins.... I put it all together again, not as much cussing as I thought there would be And it cycles....I can hear each part...work. Hardest part of reassembly was getting the hop unit to align and get the upper back on, well, and getting the wires into the upper/handguard Only thing to check is feeding and once I get a crono power out put. So offerings, what's suitable
