Yes, you can legally buy a RIF from the classifieds here if you're over 18 but it is on the seller to check you have a reason for owning a RIF as they are the party that would potentially get in trouble. If you try and buy a RIF from here, the seller will ask for you to provide a defence, be it UKARA etc. You've admitted you want a RIF for target shooting and plinking which are not justified uses for owning a RIF. Your options are IFs or airguns.

Lots of blank firers used at games likes MSW in the US. Always used responsibly from the footage I've seen. They're treated as a LARP element with a significant MED. I think they add massively to the vibe and would be fine with them.

With the slide off and an empty mag in, does the follower push up on the slide stop? If so, that will rule out mag, spring, follower and slide stop issues and narrow it down to the slide stop/slide notch interface.

VFC G3 and MP5 GBBs are pretty much 1:1 to RS so RS stocks fit very easily. If you want to use the RS spring and spring guide on the G3, you just need to shorten them.
