  1. I'm an avid GBBR user, took an aeg to the last game day as an extra back up as the weather was looking cold. Used the aeg for about half a game before I got bored of it and switched over to the L85 that ran faultlessly for the rest of the day Lol The MWS does seem to have a devoted following, and I'm sure it is an amazing platform, however most of mine are WE. I run an L119 A1 and an A2 , the L85 G36 and G3 all WE , The L85 was the first , an airsoft jumble purchase that I rebuilt, so when I started on the 119's it made sense to stick with WE for mag compataility. My take on the WE platforms is that the M4 platform is excellent, mine get a M/L rubber and Omega nub and one has a crazy jet barrel. They have proved to be completely reliable and have been my main go to guns for two or three years now. Setting the hop is a bit of a faff due to it's location, although my patented hop adjusting tool makes it easier, but once set, the hop is stable and rarely needs another tweak. I'm running .30's in all by GBBRs which are a good compromise, but they will easily lift heavier. As well as mine I have also built 2 other 119's for mates on WE base. The only failure across all of them is on one of those and is due to operator error, somw numpty charged it whilst on safe and caused some damage to the trigger box . In that case I dropped in an RA tec trigger box as I had one in my spares stash which I had never bothered to fit to mine. Spares if required are cheap and easy to get , other than an NPAS and the rubber / nub I wouldn't bother 'upgrading' anything untill something breaks. Lots of real steal parts fit straight on. The L85 is a little more tempremental, but the main issue of bolt damage has been cured in the later ones with a strengthening plate. Again , easy to strip and work on, same hop unit as the M4. Mine was running like a train last time out in single didget temperatures on red gas. The G36 is now mainly a loaner if anyone wants to tra GBBR, it needs a go through having been on loan for over a year, but it's a good platform, easy to work on , hop is easy to adjust. I dont run it 'cos the mags are a pain in the arse to fit in pouches. The G3 is a beast, it's the fully trade marked version, is running totally stock except for an NPAS and will easily over hop my standard .30's . Makes a very distinctive crack when firing, hop easy to adjust , always catches me out with the dead man's click on empty as I am so used to the 119's locking back ! My other two are the Umarex MP7 ( full size unlike the TM) totally stock and an absolute scream to use . Then there is the VFC M249, Oh My ! It's so much fun to use, I load my mags to 120 rounds , fill the gas tank in the box mag and just have a blast. The noise is incredible, one game I saw people from the other team stand up and run the other way when I opened up. One of them came and found me later and said ' that thing sounds terifying ' 🤣 A mate has the WE SCAR H and it is very nice, but we did end up using an after market hop unit to get it shooting consistantly. I never feel out gunned with any of them, they all have as much range as any other non dmr / sniper airsoft gun and accuracy on most is excellent. I've spent plenty of time dialing the sights I use on each and allow for recoil when I fire. The 249 has more of a shotgun effect, but I'm happy enough with that in a support weapon. Mags wise I generally carry 5 for the 119's , 85 and G3 plus a speed loader. I recon on 2.5 BB loads to a gas fill, so have about 300 rounds for a game. 4 mags for the MP7 but they are 40 rounds . Mags are in pouches on a plate carrier . I make sure to use the mag that has been closest to my body first from each pouch, moving the outer one in when I put the empty into the pouch. I tend to run hot when I excersise and find the mags are happy with this system. Sorry, long post, but hopefully helpful.
  2. Maybe the sites in question are just hoping the daft twat falls out and breaks his neck
  3. Harder is subjective. Those of us who run GBBR's pretty much exclusivly find all of this second nature and it adds to the enjoyment . But for alot of players it definitly comes under the harder heading. Get into a good position and take selective semi shots ? so much harder than dumping 40 rounds a second into a bush . Strip and clean your gun after a game day ? so much harder then shove it in the cupboard untill next game day , It's all subjective. By the sound of it your play style is heading towards something where GBBRs will suit you.
  4. As above, GBBRs demand a different play style. Getting into position and picking shots, as well as being aware of round count . No spray and pray antics for us , even when using my GBB M249 it's bursts not hosing. Being aware of mag temperature in cold weather etc. I find my GBBRs are every bit as reliable as my aeg's , which I very rarely use anymore, but are so much more fun, mag changes , recoil , noise and tactical play ! Oh My ! They don't suit everyone, I know plenty of playerrs who have no concept of self control when it comes to slinging BBs , GBBRs wouldn't suit them 😂
  5. It's certainly worth having a session on the range to fine tune everything.
  6. It's totally on them , not on you. I think most sites know that us GBBR users are sensible with our limited ammo and mag cool down , lets face it we are never going to go 'full wanker' with a GBBR 😂 May well be that they have allowed for cooldown or alow a margin on the chrono. How was the performance in the colder weather ? I've run my WE based L119's down to 4 or 5 degrees with red or black gas, Colder than that and I'm not playing !
  7. 320 on .30's is 1.42j So over power limits for the UK , assuming its not semi locked as a DMR, Surprised the site alowed it to be used.
  8. IIRC the double feed issue which is not uncommon on MK23's is to do with the mag lips. From memory nobitch released some replacement ones after his attempt to persuade everyone that the double feeding was down to how they were pulling the trigger 🤣
  9. I have reason to believe a gas shottie may be under the tree 😁
  10. Everything about them is wrong ! want a 9MM pdw, buy a fecking MP5 !
  11. Last weekend, just went with the Black mtp as I hadn't used it this year. The WE L85 also hasn't seen much use this year. I serviced it the week before and fitted a crazy jet barrel that I had spare, and it ran very well and chalked up some nice kills.
  12. I'm now looking at my GBBR G3 and begining to wonder ........

Thought I'd experiment a bit with the gas feed from the box mag to see if I can make something totally secure and non invasive. Picked up the Airtac hpa kit, now I would only hpa it if I can get a bottle in the box mag and I wouldn't use the mag adapter which allows you to run an aeg box mag. The limited ammo and mag changes are part of the GBB experience for me. Very much at the proof of concept stage, but I've fitted the hpa adapter to the gun, just replaces the brass fitting in the mag well , and run part of the line that comes in the kit. On the mag I've used an hpa line I had knocking about which I cut in half , the rubber tobe pushes straight in to the fitting on the mag tank. I now have a QD fitting with a stop valve. The tank is holding gas fine. A quick test looks promising. The gun cycles fine, and that's with only a short fill and it's bloody cold in the garage . I'll do some testing at weekend and shorten the lines , may use the spare rubber section for the line in the gun as it's more flexible, so easier to route into the box mag. I wont be able to run it from the STANAG, but tbh I dont see that as an issue. If this works, it's totally reversable in about 15 minutes. I'll keep you all posted
  14. Oh my ! that's a very sexy beast
  15. They pretty much get stored as they are at the end of the day Lol. Red or green gas (whichever I've been using) but I dont top them off since I seldom run them empty , and if there are BB's in 'em they stay in 'em . In fairness I have left GBBR mags with a full BB load for extended periods and never then had an issue with the mag feeding all the BBs , although I am fussy about what BBs I put in my GBBRs
  16. Likewise and why my airsoft LiPo's go months at a time between uses
  17. You will have to change settings, but you will on any decent charger, Once you've done it it is very easy to get the hang of.
  18. God no, never ever ever ever use a nuprol charger, they are junk https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/225792052496?epid=725234734&hash=item3492414d10:g:580AAOSwbPhlFA8e&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA8AC9YjqX29FKZZX8CbwG%2FPsPsjiUFVc7Orwhch7xQAmzzwyWWNvRvuw%2FNBeKdzdIWFdSOIFKUFTgpDOnam%2B6wQdRNFgjSxaOYeGDp5H0e2PZ%2BKKbr5GYu87Z5TqEkXJ%2FOdNg7xhnaOIcoic0GvcOKJpFGQspuaQEHYFGI78TUdcaWhainiAlCZA3Ncp4KICl1CkFTr%2FvZYG4iuIyQSYvlTa4oiMOOGuuPoMVRvQcD6r8GzF8FTx9qmsh1Tu6R4xQ63KfTzGbyS9AMnmRVg3yKFnBHD3Phe4vbkf9q3aQ6pV6BEMpBKabrTvF7LUj5k6Dlw%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR-rN9Lj8Yg I use an Overlander one for all mine, which is an excellent charger. The B6 seems well liked but mine failed on me so I replaced it with the Overlander.
  19. I never 'storage charge' any of my LiPo's not the airsoft ones or the ones for R/C . I just balance charge them after use and pop them in my storage box (ammo tin) Then top them off the night before I use them. I've had some of them for years and never had any issues doing it that way.
  20. I run the mags for my GBB G3 in surplus STANAG pouches. Each pouch happily takes a G3 mag, which must be at least as big as SCAR H ones
  21. The RA Tech parts can be hit and miss. A mate has steel bolt in his and it's fine. My steel bolt is in the spares draw and I'm using the WE one as mine just doesn't cycle right with the RA Tech. The trigger parts can also be iffy, I've had ones that work first time and ones I've had to fettle. Wouldn't bother with the nozzle, stick to a WE one with either an NPAS or restrictor disk fitted. TBH the only parts I've had to replace are on the mate's L119 A2 and the failures were down to user error rather than the WE parts ( someone charged it when it was in safe) Both my L119's are still all WE internals with the exception of the trigger parts in my A1 which I fitted because I had them rather than any issues. My 119's are my go to guns and both get alot of year round use with gas to suit the temperature , and I've not had any failures. Maple leaf rubber and Omega nubs fitted to them and a Crazy jet barrel is worth looking at.

Another great day with it, some nice kills and I'm cosistantly impressed by the range it has running .30's
