  1. @STORMZOMBIES - I hear what you're saying. However, anyone buying it won't care what you bought it for, because that's already happened. The thing with airsoft kit, generally is that it gets sold on for around two thirds of the new price. And that new price that things are judged on is the price that anyone can get from a retailer offering the lowest price - as in the links I gave. So if you genuinely have that as your asking price, you have to ask yourself the question - why would anyone buy this second hand from me, when they can buy it brand new with a warranty from a retailer for less? The answer is, they wouldn't - so your kit won't sell. Which defeats the point of your advert, surely? Have a look at the prices of stuff that's sold and judge it from there - you'll find you get a quicker sale and the money in your pocket.
  2. £250? When you can buy the whole lot new, with a warranty for under £220? I'm not sure if I'm missing something, or if it's just a typo in the ad..... Edit: I could have sworn when I wrote this it was £250. Now it's £225. Still way too much for 2nd hand kit, when you can pay less and have it new.

  4. Thank you PayPal! Case granted in my favour, so dosh back.
Tbh, I'd rather have had the kit, but I guess that's what happens when you deal with Stealy McThiefgit 😞

  5. Can anybody recommend a replacement inner barrel for the APS SVU? I think the inner is currently 600mm and I'd like to keep at the same length. I have no idea if it's bridged or not. And I don't know which bore to go for... TIA. 😄 Edit: Ignore this. My Google-fu improved. Guarder 6.02 650mm is on the way!
  6. I should be pewing 😞

  8. No, it did not go well. Two weeks on and I have nothing for my money but a headache. Fucking twat. Responded to messages, saying was in post, will send tracking etc. Never did. Now not responding to messages. Have had to start a dispute with PayPal. Goods and Services FTW! Prick sold it on ebay the day after I paid him ffs - although I bet he never delivered to them either. I'm off second hand stuff unless I know the seller from now on. Fuck it.
  9. Just in...... It's got a really nice heft to it and one helluva kick! Looking forward to fielding it this week 😄
  10. If there's an admin that uses FB - can they get in touch with this chap please?

  11. New tracer/suppressor - wooohooooo! And a loan sight from @rocketdogbert 😄
  12. Hurrah! New mask and lens are here. Looks like the old one was properly buggered. Glad I got a new one - I may be able to see what I'm doing now!

  13. A wonderful day of jumping every time there's a noise outside.
    What's that?
    Could it possibly be?
    Yes, that's right.
    It's delivery day!!!!!!

  14. I'm allowed out to play! Hurrah!
It's pissing down and I feel like crap Hu-Boooooo!
    Fuck it I'm going anyway.

  15. After proclaiming I'm not buying anything else airsoft for at least a month, an hour later I bought a WAS gunfighter belt and universal holster from a chap on FB. Well that went well! 😄
  16. I don't remember the last time I had my giggles cleaned. Oh yes, it was shortly after I'd had the lips charged....... 😄
  17. I was wondering where he was from before, so went reading. And found this from @L3wisD : Now if he's under 18, is he actually allowed to sell RIF's, let alone buy them? And if he's not legally allowed to sell RIF's, should his advert be deleted? 🤔
  18. Sending you abusive messages? For what??? (I'm just being nosey, feel free to ignore).. But if any member of the forum feels the need to be abusive to another member, then I would have thought a word with a moderator was a good idea? Although PM's are private, I believe that certain standards should be maintained - and any form of abuse falls below that?
  19. Proving Grounds today - Wooooohooooo!
Family poorly though, so I'm not going 😭

  20. In the Mack's thread - Is it possible that when someone has an ad posted in there that they are automatically notified?
    Cos that might help matters......

As a semi-serious answer I believe - if this is still the case, @Jedi_Master can confirm - that the Dreamers thread exists in a very grey area between poking fun at idiots and just being picky over prices. It's been the case before that people have made questionable entries on that thread about guns they don't understand or because a discount wasn't quite at the level they wanted so I'd be very reluctant to do anything that would let people know when they've been shown up in that thread if only for the 1 in 10 times that people get it wrong.

The reason the thread works in the first place is that the sort of person who puts up an advert that's mispriced is also the sort who likely doesn't browse the rest of the forums too much. Preventing people from posting about listings on here is something I rolled back at the start of the year and thankfully haven't had to reconsider since. Hopefully it stays that way, but it is a bit of a knife edge :)

      Fully agree with that sentiment.

Some people are trying to make fast money, Others genuinely have no idea and are pricing things up based on what they think. So the grey area is pretty large.

The airsoft dreamers thread has the potential to be volatile, and if one of the sellers took a dislike to it and started to post there I have no doubts that the whole thread would be shut down. It's  in the same way the Appraisals thread has the potential to be volatile. All it takes is for the seller to think they have something of more value than they have, and then accuse the thread of devaluing a sale based on what has been posted. It's a hard cop for the people who are generally trying to help, and it only self regulates if there is an active base of users looking over everyone's posts.

All members are free to post adverts as well as ask questions within adverts; not all sellers are equal either in the quality of advert or attention to their advert, but it is their choice.

Macks dreamers is useful even though it resides in the grey area. It does often make me laugh reading some ridiculous adverts, and saddened when a member posts something they know nothing about thinking it overpriced. Providing the topic does not dissolve into rants and off-topic following posts, then there is no need to moderate, and it gives us all something to read and think about.

  21. I nearly put this in here when I saw it. However, I cba to go through it to actually figure out if it was worth it. One comment I will make though is - who on Earth is going to spend £1500 on that lot? I'm not saying it's a bad deal, as I have no idea - what I mean is - who would spend £1500 on a load of second hand kit, some of which you may not need / want, when you can spend the same amount on individual stuff and get EXACTLY what you want, and nothing you don't?
  22. That camo doesn't work. I can totally see you! 😂😜
  23. Split Slide AW Hi-Capa (and an extended mag) - Fuck me, it's a snappy little thing! I like it a little bit after last night's CQB - I'm hoping this will increase to a lot... I think I'm going to have to feed it some heavier BBS - I was only using .2's. The drop leg rig has three WAS quick mag pouches - they work really well and have a really strong retention (but not so strong you can't remove the mags).
