  1. looking good, hope it gains traction. open source is great too as when a site moves/closes good to have it kept up to date, i know there are sites that have been closed for years still show up on google.
  2. don't we have versions of both of those?
  3. given he had an evaluation thread: so, lets evaluate this package in detail: we take our £170 gun: https://www.surplusstore.co.uk/nuprol-delta-ak21-black-6mm-airsoft-rif-aeg.html mess around with the internals (looks to have had a barrel change at least), but unspecified what's going on, given the specifics aren't mentioned i'd worry about the quality of any work that's been done. add a paint job which might appeal to some buyers, but will alienate everyone who doesn't happen to exactly like that style. add a cleaning rod- literally worthless, guns come with them as-standard and most folks are gonna have a couple lying around. original box- again not much value save for a collectors peice, which a nuprol is not. 4 hicap mags- given most folk will already have mags these aren't worth much to a lot of buyers (especially the mid-cap master race) however in the interests of fairness we'll add that on, given the brand is unspecified i'll be lazy and pick the first result on google for a nuprol hicap at £10 per mag: https://www.defconairsoft.co.uk/product/nuprol-m4-metal-hi-cap-370rnd/ battery and charger- pretty much worthless to anyone who is already setup, but given how this is going so far we'll add that on at £21 for the battery and £10 for the charger (super lazy googling): https://www.surplusstore.co.uk/nuprol-9-6-1600-mah-nunchuck-crane-stock-type.html https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/asg-intelligent-auto-stop-nicd-nimh-battery-charger gun bag- no info to go on here, so we'll do a quick lazy search and find a gun bag for £20: https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/nuprol-pmc-essentials-soft-rifle-bag?pv=8366 overall i'm getting an equivalent package for £261 brand new, with warranty, without any effort put into shopping around save for ensuring that the item is in stock from a uk seller........ i was gonna do a comparison with other sales in that price bracket, but this post is long enough already.....
  4. must be a long version of the scar? one of the advantages of shorter gnu's the fancy barrels are cheaper
  5. i think i have a problem. i actually start twitching now when i see an aks74u with a 7.62 mag in it......
  6. todays "i wants it"

    a gbb svu.....

    1. Asomodai

havent heard much about them, tbh i figured it'd just be the WE base gun converted pretty much how the real svu was converted.

i mean i can't afford it anyway but a man can dream......

  7. it does seem to be weirdly polarised the svd market. you've got the cheaper versions in KA/cyma, then the expensive versions in WE (by the time you buy mags) and RS and nothing in the middle. as much as i'm not a fan of lct these days, it would certainly be good if they could fill that gap. such a shame as for dmr purposes the svd is thoroughly under-represented despite being bloody good (surprise surprise the gun that invented the dmr concept is a good dmr) to answer the op's question a mate of mine has what we think is a king arms svd (the para model), if it is then @colinjallen's assessment seems pretty much bang on the money. however i'd probably look at cyma given you're more likely to be able to get bits for it.
  8. it's a very tricky balance to be struck. i agree that micro-analysing over years and judging someone for a decision that by its very nature is a split-second choice made under extreme pressure (with all the human fallibility that entails) isn't good, however at the same time i do think that the accountability is needed to ensure officers don't get gung-ho. we need something to motivate them not to pull the trigger unless it is the necessary course of action.
  9. ahh the hypocrisy, "wear face protection"- doesn't wear a covid mask.......
  10. tell me, does this youtuber normally wear a mask in-game? covered in leaves perchance?
  11. yep, it'll boil down to how many uk folks stop using TG over this, and how hard that hits their sales. i presume they do trade all over europe so maybe the uk just isn't enough market for them to make the switch?
  12. i think some commendation for the police should be given here, as tackle edit: druid mentioned that kind of situation could have escalated to a lethal response and i can only assume it was either remarkable observation or bravery on the part of the officer to have resolved this in a way that left everyone breathing. i don't know what was going on inside this guys head, was he off the rails? was he trying to get shot 'murca style? or some convoluted political statement? regardless congrats to the police involved for keeping a cool head and denying the media a clickbait title
  13. yep, it was twiddling the regulator before it was cool
  14. ahh systema, the OG hpa quick adjusting fps wanker
  15. it's a tricky one, on the one hand i do agree that if you're gonna trigger's broom an aeg, might as well start with a cheaper platform. however the exception to that is when the base platform offers something that isn't really plausible for a cheaper gat, in the tm recoils case it's the other features such as, well, the recoil, that make it a desirable starter (whether or not you care about recoil is a different matter) same as how an e&l ak sure as shit looks a lot prettier and has stronger external components than a cyma. which if you have my crippling addiction to blued steel is something worth paying for. i completely agree with this *looks at his desk covered in unskirmished e&l guts and aftermarket parts* do as i say not as i do
  16. the same reason anyone does anything in this hobby- because they want to. you can play with a goddamn nerf gun and get kills, so why are we even bothering with expensive cyma's? there are folks who upgrade their guns because they think they need to do so to compete, there are folks who upgrade because they enjoy the process (like me), and there are folks like yourself and tackle who would rather save the money and gain their edge by other means such as fieldcraft or agility. none of these approaches are right, but none of them are wrong either, and the fact that this is a hobby that can cater to such a variety of tastes and pockets is a good thing
  17. nah mate, it's hot water, good dentishtry and shoft lavatory paper
  18. for me it's ky airsoft, had to dispute with them after they didn't ship backorder items despite the whole range of said items being back in stock on their site. they kept trying to get me to cancel the dispute (which i didn't do as paypal are very specific about no second tries) ended up having to go to paypal. sadly i fear i may now be on their blacklist yeah, that was the sentiment i was trying to get at, this isn't TG's fault further than their choice of courier, but i reckon they're gonna be more responsive to the mass of complaints than UPS will given the relative size of the companies.
  19. it is a fair point, i've never had to deal with tg's customer service mostly due to assuming any foreign retailer to be a case of returns not being a practical option. maybe "reasonably popular" would be a better term?
  20. i'm kinda hopeful that if people start having to pull paypal disputes with TG it'll maybe persuade them to offer another carrier. whilst i don't like a reasonably decent retailer to have to take a hit like that it may well be the only way.
  21. fair enough, i'm guessing the tag shells don't have any fancy shenanigans for resetting them then. any particular look you're going for or just straight functionality?
  22. that really blew out of proportion, remember coming back seeing mack's had grown by half a dozen pages being like "wtf did i start!?" haven't a clue, never had a gbb with auto.
  23. i feel like i need to ask the obvious question here, but how are you planning on that fitting in a launcher?
  24. ahh e&l, masters of the stumpy spring :P

  25. fair point, been a while since we've had one of those debates. they're always fun
