The issue is the buffer spring does not have enough power to overcome the hammer so its sticking mid cycle and coursing the valve knock to rest on the valve and vent the gas. 1, Try adding some shims to the spring guide (rubber washers are cheap) see if it helps the issue. 2, Bend the hammer spring so its not so hard for the slide to over come (this could lead to light striking in hot weather) 3, Order a stronger recoil spring 4, Get a bearing for the hammer like these https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dl3DGEgIGK0&ab_channel=เเจ๊คกี้ ( Its in another language around 3.55 mins) Good vid on disasembaly https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xX0hCOAjLt8&ab_channel=RogueStudios and in general for glock stuff. (Army is a direct copy of the Tokyo Marui so any info refencing the TM works for the Army.) Hope you get the issues fixed.

Can get get copies if cant find/don't want to shell out for the orginal https://www.tactical-kit.co.uk/spiritus-systems-pangolin-flap-48460-p.asp Can replace most flaps that are Velcro adjustable, the cut out in the lid holds odd shaped things (and normal things) very well. I like the flap idea better as it makes the pouch more usable for other things. Vid better explaining the flap https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cDNwqLn_9zY&ab_channel=SpiritusSystems

Cock it and leave it over night and see if it drops the power. Failing that trim the spring.

Leah, how many UV-5Rs do you see kicking about? These are illegal to transmit on PMR as the equipment is not permitted to transmit over a maximum power of 0.5 watts, even on low power they transmit more power than is legal in the UK for the PMR446 allocation. Even it it was 0.5 watts they have a removable antenna and that excludes them being used on PMR. The ones I have don't even carry CE Marks. I would never advise anyone to break the law but do your own research and I think you will come to the same conclusion as me, that nobody cares if you are using "business radios" with or without a licence or using high power radios to transmit PMR.

I am assuming you have the one you just fill in and pay £75 rather than completing the 6hr foundation course?

Wecome to the forum. A HPA engine will not work with a GHK AK47. HPA engines replace the innards of a mechbox powered by a battery and the GHK being a gas blow back system is not compatible. A lot of people with GHKs change the valve over to a Co2 version and directly fill Co2 into the magazine. Its called the "devil hunter mod" name after the guy that did it first. A vid showing this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dma5y11DyhU When you do this you are asking a presser vessel that's made to hold 150-200psi to take 800psi. I personally in my 3 years running GHKs have never had any issues but you might, so do so at your own risk ETC ETC. Stocks that can take both sizes of Co2 capsule exist https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8cvUkPBYSc but for a different weapon system. If it was me I would research how they have done it and go from there. So other options are a drum magazine tapped for HPA or on the extreme end something from Daytona https://www.daytonagunairsoft.com/collections/conversion-kits/products/daytona-mfg-ghk-ak-steel-internal-kit-gas-powered but both systems require a hose.

Welcome to the club. If it was me I would buy good Eyepro first, nothing spoils a day of fun playing Cowboys and Indians when every 30 seconds you cant see due to fogging and the obvious hazards that come with having your vison impaired. In my experience people that share the same hobby love talking about it. Use the time before you buy to ask people about any kit you like the look of, 9 times out of 10 I bet they will let you have a go to.

Never say never right? But personally have never had an issue even ordering slide and frame sets and is 100% legal.

You want to check Non-standard baggage T&Cs and find the helpline. In my experience they will just treat any gun shaped objects like a real firearm and you will just have to go to the red point telephone before/after/during your departure and arrival. "Two Tone" is not a thing, they can argue its not "over 51%" (technically just changing the slide colour will not make the rep an "IF") and the last thing you want is to end up having to go off for examination. I would pick one of the acceptable colours and cover as much of the replica as possible. Thinking about it also take the valves out the mags as they can get iffy about pressurized containers they do not have the specs for on hand. "Weapons designed or adapted to discharge other missiles including airsoft darts are not considered to be airsoft weapons. They are considered to be firearms." This should only really count for things that utilise moscarts but its worth adding a declaration to the paperwork making them aware it does not fall into this category. Would be interested to see what Airline you go with and how you get on.

Definition of a "firearm" pertaining to Airsoft https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1968/27/section/57A . Its all hearsay to me but from what I have read KM has shot someone multiple times with the definition of firearm according to the above legislation. I don't think we can legally play "hardball" as I said "I don't think you can consent to being shot with a firearm".
-
The last time I was talking about this Hazel Blears was trying to steal my toys so I might be a little fuzzy but I don't think you can give consent to be shot with a firearm.

#blackadder, thanks for posting this everyone I have shown this to has reacted the same way with a massive belly laugh. Gives the "Kicking" in his name a new meaning

Tokyo Marui M16A2 with a Tri Shot M203 on the bottom, bought extended warranty and the shop closed down (Airsoft Dynamics) 10 months later. I was gutted at the time but it pushed me to get the hammer out and try fixing and "upgrading" stuff myself so turned out OK in the end. The only part I still have is the A2 stock and the two part plastic hop up as I shoved it in the stock when I took it off :).

I wonder if insurance policy's elaborate in the wording exactly what "drugs" they mean. Someone playing that smokes, had a coffee or even a Mars Bar technically is "under the influence". Driving while under the influence law does state "illegal drugs" or "It’s illegal to drive with legal drugs in your body if it impairs your driving". Probably just got the tin foil hat on, but having dealt with companies in the past they will do everything to the point of lying to not have to pay up.

Run Your Sling Through A Plate Carriers Shoulders?
Chev Chelios replied to Fatboy40's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
If you don't intend to climb, crawl or your gun hitting you in the nuts every now and then its a tested method. Really popular way to carry 10 years ago. Have you tried a 2 point sling that can be adjusted on the fly? Can have it lose when in use so no chaffing the pull it tight to body when you want it out the way. -
Forgive my ignorance but did they actually heat and extrude the ally or just said print instead of machine? Thanks.

Optic Height - Where does your preference sit?
Chev Chelios replied to alxndrhll's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Nah I think you are right to put some thought into it as someone that had an undiagnosed astigmatism well into my 30s I never new why people would hype about red dots and to some extent EoTechs (although I got on with EoTechs much better). I tried a true 1-6x in a 1.93 mount last year and although a lot heaver than a T1 or an XPS I can actually make use of the reticule and defiantly have less stress in the shoulders due to the more "scope on m4 carry handle" height of the mount. I am thinking about adding a riser to bring it up around another 10mm. Sub 80m you are still going to score a hit even if you went to 5" HOB me thinks so would use the NVG height mounts if it was me. 45° RMR on a gun that uses back spin on the other hand
