Good stuff. You get the valve sorted?
-
Swap the release valve over to another mag and test. If all good swap the gas router (the rubber bit on top) and test again. It should be one of these parts giving you the issue. The router can be shimmed and a sticky valve can be cleaned. Let me know if you find the offending part.

Gas block will fit something like the SMR Rail but will need the sling loops removed from the gas block.

The inner diameter of the barrel has 0 effect on accuracy (unless you went smaller than 6 or maybe 7mm plus) as the BB rides along the air pocket and never touches it anyway. What it does do is use the air more efficiently. So a tighter barrel in most cases will increase FPS. The quality of the bore, how straight the barrel is and the patch window is what you want to look out for in my opinion. I like the rubbers you mention to, have had good results with the Maple Leaf stainless coated ones as the cut out for the patch fits perfect. That being said when I had a Tippman I was very happy with the lambda 01 stainless steel, Prometheus are good to go as well. Watch out for the lips on the rubber they might need a smidge off the feeding tube side if jamming/feeding issues. Other than that with the TDC think you will have a very fun gun to play with.

Special Forces Replica - What is and what is not realistic?
Chev Chelios replied to LzChase's topic in General Discussion
Would help if you could be a bit more specific on what unit, branch or at least country. You have to take into account what the upper was made for that later turned into the full rifle. "A short-stroke piston (HK416) design is more reliable and suffers less from excessive fouling when paired up with a short barrel." So most of the time its primary use is a short barrel paired with a suppresser. If you want to build a 14.5 clone look at the Norwegian army as its their service rifle. Attached is an image of the ones in use by CAG AKA Delta Force. -
Take a closer look https://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Predator_(1987) not seen a barrel mounted GL with that trigger group, as the WIKI says I think it was a 39mm flare launcher. Also think its an A1/AR15. The first Airsoft gun I bought from long defunct Airsoft Dynamics was a TM M16A1 with a Tri Shot GL launcher. Was lovely even with the 3 part barrel. I say you should trust the beer and have at it.

Ahh good stuff. 99% sure its the barrel binding (why its cycling fine upside down) if you don't want to go down the filing route, they sell new outer barrels to stop it happening when a suppresser or comp is fitted but should solve the issue you are having. Have a search for "non tilting vfc sig sauer m17 barrel". Vid showing what I mean if my gibberish does not make any sence https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MkoSYWSA_bs&ab_channel=GunSightTV

If you want to get a "knife kill" I suggest the use of hotdogs. Bonus is if they feel a bit deflated after getting a "knife kill" you can give them the hotdog (it still tasted good)

Can you take the slide off and take me a well lit photo from the top with the magazine in with a cocked and non cocked hammer please (want to see the valve knocker) Do you have a valve key? If so can you screw the valve into the mag loose (hand tight then back off just slightly) and see how that affects the issue. When the issue starts try pushing and holding the mag in the gun (want to see if the nozzle to mag seal is playing up) Again when the issue starts if you can shoot it upside down and let me know if any change. Just trying to diagnose what might be the issue, if you can be arsed a video of the gun firing when playing up would be a big help. Edit: Also does the fake outer barrel move in and out of battery with the slide when you fire it? If possible assemble with out the outer barrel and give it a pop.

Not come out in the last few years but GBLS DAS is the next step in electric blowback. Crazy prices but got a good deal on here and never looked back. Use it 90% of the time now. Parts are proprietary but as for fixes/maintenance no harder than a TM based Mechbox. Basically a gas blow back without temp worries, heavy mags and the ability to scale up how much ammo the mags can take depending on what you are doing.

Halfords do a good range close to Krylon https://www.halfords.com/motoring/paints-and-body-repair/specialist-and-decorative-paints/halfords-camouflage-spray-paint-green-300ml-252044.html If wanting a hard wearing finish you want ceramic based, cerokote or durakote is the go to for firearms not cheap have goggle. I have had good finish's using auto paint and sealers in the past with trial and error if mat camo colours are not what you are after.

This guy put me onto the MR Hops (I used the non silicone) and barrels and I find them 95% as good as a psionic rhop kit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYS7bhlkfjg&ab_channel=ReflexAirsoft

Trittech Shooting Glasses With Built In Fan.
Chev Chelios replied to Chev Chelios's topic in Latest News
Had an email Last time I had my eyes checked was about 7 years ago and she said I would need them by the time I hit 40, that's in July but I seem to be doing alright (fingers crossed). Just seen this pop up on Facebook as well so probably right to be sceptical about prescription lenes. https://prnt.sc/3nfZboiH6np6 -
Did a search of the site to see if any news on the pre-order delivery and was surprised these had not been posted. https://trittech-us.com/ Looking at the youtube channel ballistic testing seems good and the antifog look amazing. From someone that can fog a DYE mask I use an ExFOG like system but its just a PITA with the tubes so most of the time I wear my heroshark mesh but I have astigmatism and in low light suffer. Fingers crossed they turn out as advertised.

So I got one of these EMG Strike Titanium slides with a Volante BBU unit for a build but ended up in love with the GHK Glock. They cost around £470 from HK with shipping and import was around £600. Is brand new. So if I go 50% that's £300, at that price is it worth me making an add for such and expensive niche part? What you think guys?

The issue is the buffer spring does not have enough power to overcome the hammer so its sticking mid cycle and coursing the valve knock to rest on the valve and vent the gas. 1, Try adding some shims to the spring guide (rubber washers are cheap) see if it helps the issue. 2, Bend the hammer spring so its not so hard for the slide to over come (this could lead to light striking in hot weather) 3, Order a stronger recoil spring 4, Get a bearing for the hammer like these https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dl3DGEgIGK0&ab_channel=เเจ๊คกี้ ( Its in another language around 3.55 mins) Good vid on disasembaly https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xX0hCOAjLt8&ab_channel=RogueStudios and in general for glock stuff. (Army is a direct copy of the Tokyo Marui so any info refencing the TM works for the Army.) Hope you get the issues fixed.

Can get get copies if cant find/don't want to shell out for the orginal https://www.tactical-kit.co.uk/spiritus-systems-pangolin-flap-48460-p.asp Can replace most flaps that are Velcro adjustable, the cut out in the lid holds odd shaped things (and normal things) very well. I like the flap idea better as it makes the pouch more usable for other things. Vid better explaining the flap https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cDNwqLn_9zY&ab_channel=SpiritusSystems

Cock it and leave it over night and see if it drops the power. Failing that trim the spring.
