  1. My advice before moving on anything go to as many sites as you can and have a chat with the people and the operators. Try and at least have a chat so when it comes time to open you are at least on a "hello" basis and you may be able to arrange to have games days that don't conflict and push business each others way. Always nice to have someone to call closeish by in case your pallet of BBs is found to have an endangered species nest of voles in and cant be moved so can pop over and grab some at short notice ETC Props and toys are something to invest in, for instance having a manikin (or even a very large marshal) on a stretcher can make a game feel epic and is just essentially a bog standard capture the flag game mode. Rentals make the money, try and have a marshal to look after just the rentals and give them the best day possible. Future players and future private parties will come of it. Good luck in the venture, always nice to hear of another possible site opening up.
  2. You can shorten the inner barrel or purchase one with a wider ID. GBB work on a flute valve system resting on a spring, gas travels through the system and when enough presser is built up, the valve is forced forward redirecting the gas to propel the slide/bolt to the rear. Just like an AEG you can cut or use a softer spring in the nozzle to reduce the muzzle energy. You can use HFC134A (duster gas) to drop the FPS even further but you lose recoil and thus some of the fun factor.
  3. About the issue of projectile weight, erm lets call them "jewellers scales" have come down in price dramatically as checking the weight of "gold" has become more common. They are tiny and very accurate and even the cheap ones go down to .1 of a gram. Could be easy to carry with a chrono, pop bb out the mag, weight it, stick the mag back in and then run it through the chrono.
  4. After doing crush tests, I can attest that heavier BB crumbs taste considerably different to .2 crumbs. Not sure it adds any value to the discussion but thought it was worth noting
  5. Its to personal to answer I think, I bought a GBLS DAS off these forums to try, if for some reason did not feel like running around with 12 gas mags and a Sodastream bottle all day, it got used for 20 mins and not touched it since. I have used Co2 powered GHK M4s since 2016 and I simply don't enjoy playing with AEGs at all any more to the point that if whatever reason my 3 GBBR died I would just sit in the safe zone and social rather than play with an AEG. I think its a "you do you" type of decision.
  6. I am now 100% fully domesticated, thought the "boots" one meant the shop! Was like huh what does it matter if he spends big in boots I don't even shop there.
  7. I have never liked PALLS attachment on chest rigs always seems to add to much bulk. I used to have an LBT 1961 but sold it and regretted it ever since. I saw these for sale awhile ago and gave it a punt https://www.tactical-kit.co.uk/lbx-0062-lock--load-chest-rig-21201-p.asp love mine to death!! Review of it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWRJa4sqC-4
  8. Its almost as good as HPA without the hose and tank. Aye drop a steel buffer and a 300% recoil spring and its orgasmic. Hes a bit long winded in the video but it gives you some idea of the performance of one using Co2.
  9. I would go for a classic CQBR setup can get really good Wilcox replica mounts and almost perfect LMT stock replicas off AliExpress nowadays for not very much money. I wish I was close to you to let you have a blast with one of my mags with Co2 valves in filled with Co2, the recoil and constancy is amazing. Hope you have as much fun as I do with mine. If you have not already join the "ghk master race" group on Facebook has huge amounts of info.
  10. Got a Reptilia RMR mount for the bendy boi but not really liking it. Will prob end up with one of them Arisaka 45" T1/T2 mounts. Really loving the performance since swapping to Co2 although the guy down at the pub supply thinks I am doing something nefarious with all the Co2 am buying
  11. Thanks for the reply. Aye just trying to utilise the sound amplification so in theory even if playing the music you can still hear what's going on. Think I might have to get a duel PTT or something rigged up.
  12. So I have a Peltor Comtac III headset and to run the standard mic you need and amplified PTT otherwise VON is really quite. I bought a 3.5mm audio plug to go in the other mic socket to listen to music or the odd time using an android program to communicate. The issue I am having is the sound volume is super low I am thinking I need to "amplify" it in some way? Anyone know of an amp to go between the cable and the device? Or any advice on how to up the volume without going through a PTT? 3.5 mm cable https://3mpeltor.earshotcommunications.co.uk/product/3m-peltor-fl6n/ Attaching a photo as to converse a thousand words and all that. I know its very niche subject but am always surprised about the amount of knowledge kicking around here. Thanks very much for any help.
  13. Without a photo its hard to tell but a hook wrench with a round nose does the trick on Geissele, BCM ETC https://www.amazon.co.uk/Larcele-Crescent-Adjustable-Spanner-YYBS-01/dp/B07JPHMPF6/ref=sr_1_13?dchild=1&keywords=Hook+Wrench&qid=1619905202&s=diy&sr=1-13
  14. I would say yes, as they get older they tend to crack and flake off. I would have a look at a how to guide on youtube. Mat black is very forgiving I would not bother with an undercoat, sand upto about 1200 grit and seal it with spay polyurethane.
  15. Unless carrying a heavy pack and yomping up and down hills all day I would stay away from hard sole/high ankle combat boots. Have a look at some reviews of some hiking boot brands cant go wrong really.
  16. The thing that always worriers me about getting Airsoft classed as sport is it becomes harder to justify the need for RIFs. Our one saving grace when Hazel Blairs (thank god she got moved onto other things) was we could argue that it was more about dressing up and playing war and by having to use brightly coloured guns would have a detrimental effect and undermine the hobby to such an extent it would kill it. Would would be nice to have is a body that represents the interests of the players that can maybe look at the VCRA and lobby to have the rules changed to be more black and white and even make it legal to sell a RIF rather than just having a defence against prosecution.
  17. Not had a chance to use it in a game yet but could not resit wearing it out for a walk with the dogs in the hills, the carbon fibre like martial in the cummband is amazing and the fact the shoulder straps are part of the plate bag spread the weight out so much better. The SPC might look like a JPC but is on another level in comfort when you start adding even light weight to it. if you have to be a tart and wear plate bags rather than a chest rig, you have to give the SPC a go.
  18. As said Ferro, BFG or Vickers slings are the way to go as they are two point and can be adjusted on the fly. Have a look at vids on YouTube very easy to make one yourself at home. Good UK stockist https://www.tactical-kit.co.uk/2-point-163-c.asp
  19. Not a training plate but are multicurve and add weight. Expensive for what they are but you can get repros https://www.qoreperformance.com/products/iceplate stick them in the freezer for summer and add warm water for winter. I can not play in summer without them now.
  20. Dam they should make stuff in the US like they do with Airsoft guns!
  21. Tactics don't really convert well. What Airsoft is good for is moving with kit (most ranges will not let you move let alone run) and a bit of FISH is good for force on force but have found it teaches bad habits like holding doors closed, using soft stuff as cover ETC. If its a class taught with real firearms in mind and using Airsoft because of our draconian laws then price permitting defiantly.
  22. Not Taiwangun but from Samoon in Taiwan by way of Germany took 4 days https://www.dhl.com/global-en/home/tracking/tracking-express.html?submit=1&tracking-id=7460481980
  23. Use this guy a lot he seems to be able to pull stock out of his backside when other retailers have leads time of 6+ months. Had 7 orders from them and maybe I was just lucky but never hit with import duty. Shipping times have been 14-30 working days. https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/norgestar
  24. After searching high and low for said picture I have come up short. Please try and find said picture and post it.
  25. Even though its sweatshop 100% ripped off stuff cant knock the quality for the price and never had nothing but good CS from them so am happy they are opening a store in the UK. https://www.facebook.com/weapon762/
