  1. It is all over the place. There are at least 4 or 5 wholesalers in the UK and a some of those will be buying from a eroupean wholesaler, who buy from an Asian wholesaler, who buy from the manufacture. So you can so I can easily see why price differs so much between shops. There is most certainly some piss taking with prices but most shops need a 30 to 40% mark up from wholesale to make it worth their while selling products. I'll bet some of these prices are maybe 5% to 10% mark up just to get them out the door.
  2. It maybe gouging or just economies of scale bought at the right time or bought enough from the importer to hit the price point.
  3. most likely yes its poor QC but could be excessive wear. if it works just except what it is a don't buy a WE Hi capa next time. the only way to fix it is to spend more on replacement parts than just buying a new one.
  4. custom mag options are find a existing real steel mag shell that you can put the GHK internals into (no idea if such a mag exists) this will be the easiest method though if it can be done. Build a shell from sheet metal (not something to be done with out some metal bending tools and welding gear). design a mag from scratch in something like cad convert to CNC program and say good by to a shit tonne of money as there will be multiple iterations before you get it right. other option would be 3d print design to make a mould and cast your mags( much much cheaper than machining, can be done from a home kit but will time consuming and will be a lot of failures before you get it right. So hate to be a nay sayer unless you have access to industrial rapid prototyping equipment (don't we all wish that) accept you have bought a niche gun with little after market support so what you got is what you got.
  5. i have found myself come back to certain shops due to price and stock so maybe. Also most UK shops either are associated with a site or have their own site/s so i would assume relying on repeat business especially consumables (it appears to be quiet a common business model world wide for airsoft).
  6. That's how the real steel mags are(just better plastics) just twigged this is the gas section is this the GHK SIG? Then no there isn't. If its an AEG still no. There are after market mags with better quality plastic like MAG . Only other option is custom made mags or print this abomination https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/sig552-to-m4-adapter
  7. All supermarkets run a loss on certain products (loss leaders) to tempt people in and spend on the stuff that has a larger profit margins. Most airsoft sites will barely cover costs with green fees and will have minium numbers to break even any profit will rentals and shop sakes they have. Its risky put you can have a business model of selling your primary product at a loss/cost If you can sell high profit products in tandom.
  8. its a single stack WE so it's not good. I had a KWA wasn't terrible but not fantastic. there aren't really any good soviet side arms. could go for a KWA VZ61
  9. Found a decent price on a complete bolt mp5 receiver and I have a cyma mp5k with a cracked upper. So I want to know are bolt mp5 receiver proprietary or should the fit a standard v2 gearbox?
  10. Even with out the stock that is a good deal. Even the repo stocks are £120ish if you can find one.

    Beretta XM9

Just to kick in pedantic mode the slide lock feature was taken off the production MK23 as they thought it was a waste of time. HFC make NBB m9 maybe a better shout than trying to shoehorn in mk23 internals into another frame. But with out a major redesign and manufacturering a GBB cannot be switch from GBB to NBB single shot. All the real steel achive it by mechanically locking the slide with out blocking off the blowback gas flow you would detonate your gun in short order.
  12. I belive the SRC barrel comes with internal 11mm threaded barrels so you would need an 11m to 14mm adaptor. Don't if WE does but you could get a tap and cut a 11/12mm thread. KWA/KSC tokarev come with plastic barrels so you could cut threads with the 11mm to 14mm adaptor but that might go squint and the thread would strip relatively easy.
  13. there is a sales forum to put want adds https://airsoft-forums.uk/forum/144-the-af-uk-classifieds/ and you really do not want to put your email up on an open forum.
  14. Not quite but they are small https://www.showgunscustom.com/. There hasn't been any good images of the kit disassemble yet to see inside. But given its size some time with a dermal and sheet plastic practically anything will fit in it.
  15. google is your friend https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/cowcow-tech-ksc--kwa-enhanced-15mm-piston-head-cctkwa003
  16. Yeah batteries will get warm when current is drawn they have resistance. You should only really worry if the battery gets burning hot or puffs up.
  17. That looks like a glock. What make is it? Depending on manufacturer you can get replacement spring sets.
  18. Cheers most of my tracers are Acetech so was hoping to stick with them.
  19. Has anyone got any experience with tracerers with built in chronos? Are they accurate and which brand would you recommend. I do have a sneaking suspicion they are all made by the same manufacturer though.
  20. Can you give us a picture of inside the slide? Being plastic I would also assume something to do with nozzle. Also is the rubber in the top of the mag intact?
  21. Pretty much. AEGs and GBB are generally much more mechanically complicated than their real steel original (giving many more points of failure) and in their country of manufacture are dirty cheap and made of low strength materials. Partly because they are cheap and partly to make sure they can not be made to be actually lethal other than beating someone to death with one. In the end we play with toy guns who's original design was only intended for plinking and not for the abuse they suffer just being used in game. It would be fantastic if we could expect the same reliability standards as real steel but economies of scale means we would pay a fortune for our guns. We just have to accept that sooner or later our toy guns will break.
  22. £20.00 they can be had for £30/40 new
  23. that is the law yes in theory. but everyone here is speaking from experience the retailer if they are good will fix it, but most likely that will cause them to loose money and they aren't big enough to make demands on the manufacture to get their money back. So is most likely going to say this was broken by user error so warranty is invalid and then it's up to you to prove other wise and trading standards don't have the resources or the knowledge to do anything about one RIF.
  24. Some of those RC were released as Tamiya. I wonder who OEM'd for whom? but sooo 80s why oh why can't they produce GBBs of some of those?
  25. Unless the gun is dead out the box warranties are pretty much worhless as trying to prove it wasn't user error is well difficult. Next question have you modified it in anyway as that would invalidate any warranty even its just changing the connectors. It would be nice if airsoft guns were universally reliable and long lasting but even the high end guns are just cheap toys for what they are expected to actually do.
