  1. Most people say they're decent, especially for the price (A steel barrel for €25? dirt cheap, when you consider you can pay up to double that for an alu/brass one) Will install it tonight and give it a quick test to see how it fares against the stock 6.03x300 brass barrel of the AS02. ehm.... what?
  2. Some ML goodies 2x ML MR-Hop AEG rubbers, 50° 2x ML MR-Hop VSR rubbers, 50° 3x ML Omega nub 1x ML I-Key 1x Cheap speedloader (for the AK) 1x 5.45 Flash Mag clone (Damn you Lonex, why don't you make proper AK74 mags???) 1x Action Army 6.03x300mm steel inner barrel Not pictured are a 500ml can of Nimrod Green Gas and a bag of Specna Arms EDGE (BLS OEM'd) 0.28s Should keep me buys for at least 2 hours
  3. Yeah for a replica they're actually good. I tend not to use them in warmer weather though as they turn into an oven. I may snag a pair in RG (or check their Revenge pants, which should be lighter and cooler) to complete my tournament loadout along with a FG ubacs.
  4. I have the upgrade kit on my ARP and it's great.. Haven't really played with the settings, I have AB on and occasionally turn on binary trigger, which puts a big fat smile on my face when I'm playing cqb.. It's one of those overlooked bits that can greatly improve your gun without ripping everything apart.
  5. Most likely. They're shit. The trigger board is fine but the fcu unit is abysmal.
  6. I've been using my M81 set from Invader Gear for 3 years and it's still in great shape! You get way more value for money than say Emerson/insert-clone-here
  7. Just found out ML made a MR-Hop for AEGs 😮

    70m range at 0.9J here I come!!

eh, they do wear out but they are a wear part by design.

must admit i need to stock up on ml stuff, omega nubs in particular seem to be running dry.

Yup, only needed one nub but added a few just in case I need to mod them.

Will test the AEG rubber on my ARP, comparing it against a bog standard prommy purple and see how it fares.

Bugs me that I basically spent €60 on a bunch of silicone tubes and tiny bits of plastic :(

Its an expensive hobby that's for sure.

Like when i realise my last ammo shipment cost more than some of my guns.....

  8. They look great, although a bit shiny (I suggest a veeeeery light dusting with light brown/light green spray to remove it, or just the good old mud bath). Almost pulled the trigger on one myself.
  9. Can't comment on the more powerful springs as I'm capped at 1J, but I've successfully used SHS, AirsoftPro and Guarder AEG springs in mine. Also are you sure you seated the spring guide correctly? Sometimes they don't slide into the cutout at the bottom of the cylinder.
  10. Could also be the mosfet. They have AB by default but they're known for busting themselves into oblivion by just existing.
  11. Just arrived If you have any questions, fire away
  12. Mail call :D

    Nice smol box from AA

Same, until this morning at 9 the tracking showed "in transit" somewhere in Bologna (makes no sense as it's even further away from me than Arezzo 😕)

Also can't figure why a random unknown italian store had these pistols in stock when half europe is still preordering them from Asia :D

postage logistics is truly a mystery. you could post something down the street and it'd take longer to turn up than if you'd posted it across half the planet.

Yep, bought 2 batteries from the same shop I bought the AAP from a while ago (bought them for a mate) on eBay, it took a month for them to arrive. And they forgot one -.- (they refunded it quickly tho, literally 2 minutes after contacting them)

  13. AAP on its way.

Now, Arezzo (lovely town btw, if you ever come to Italy, make sure to check it out) is a couple of hours drive from me.

Hopefully it doesn't take a week to travel 200kms..

judging by the last time you spoke about the italian postal system it'll take about 14 hours to get 199.5km and 2 weeks to make it the rest of the way.

tbf i get a similar issue with one particular shop in ireland, for some reason stuff takes exactly a month to arrive and turns up smelling of fish.

i don't want to say the irish postal system involves chucking the package on the first lorry that looks like it's going vaguely the right direction, but i'm gonna insinuate the hell out of it.

It's a private courier who's won a contract with the postal service (they're just as bad, no wonder they won lmao).

Their website is also busted, so can't really track anything :(

I just hope it gets here before Friday.

Hold on, smells of......fish? the fuck?

i know, but no word of a lie it smelt like it had been chucked in the back of a fish lorry.

  14. It's shit. Just like every single Ares product.
  15. What a shit game day this was.

Sniper kit needs to be redone (yay more money into the drain), I totally need mesh eyepro and 2 pistols are kinda useless.

Luckily I had the ARP and switched to that.

If I had a safezone to rely onto, I'd just use my frv belt and an armpit holster for the mk23.

Unfortunately that is not an option as I have to sling all my gear and supplies with me (radio, at least one litre of water, small gas canister). I need to rework my backpack setup.

Also thinking of switching to mesh when sniping, after all I play at 1J and everyone uses 0.2s, so the energy discharged on impact is very little (especially at 30/40 metres).

Problem with mesh aint toughness for the most part.

Its when you get them cheapo bb's that shatter.

Mk23 seems a bit on the chunky side for shoulder carry no?

    4. Skara

      Skara

The thing with the mk23 is that it's huge, when I carried it as a regular pistol on my hip it got in the way every time I sat or knelt (is this correct?) down. Drawing from the hip when prone produces a lot of movement which can give your position away, which is bad when you're trying to remain unseen.

Shoulder/armpit/chest mount is the only system I can think of right now.

Regarding mesh, I know cheap bbs can shatter, the alternative to mesh would be to play without mouth protection or using something like a SISU, but the price tag scares me (in case I'm not comfortable with a gum shield)

  16. I don't know anymore man. Lockdown (and the recent end of) fucked me for good
  17. uhm... 4 mags that will stop feeding after a day, plus it's avenger63 so he always deserves a mention. Oh, and it's €250 new
  18. Italian forums.

guys asks for advice on a replica ACOG.

I tell him they're all shit and that he should get a short dot.

Guy buys the acog and now he's cursing because it's shit.

    lol

Mamma Mia ... you should have told him to spend a grand on one if he wanted a real one... then it won't be shit... ;)

a truly international problem, i recall a very similar event on here regarding the ssp1.....

on a serious note i wouldn't mind a nice ACOG for airsoft, although granted the ones i've looked through so far have had a very strange definition of the phrase "forgiving eyebox"

of course i'd still end up stacking a red dot on top and using it almost exclusively same as i do with the short dot.

Yep, told him that the only one worth buying was the real deal, but you know, cheapskates pretending RS quality out of €30 replicas :D

  19. AS03 front end is €50 posted from Ares. Should I do it??
  20. Finally we're clear to play in Italy. This is what I took with me
  21. 'Twas a reference to a thread a user made some time ago, he got roasted so hard I still have nightmares about it
