  1. I'm using an AW one, it's working fairly well and it's €10 cheaper than them WEs. I'll buy a couple more whenever I have some spare cash
  2. The drum mag is inviting, but the weight is definitely not I still need to pull the plug on two more AW extendos but I don't use the smg enough to justify them.
  3. I was supposed to play tonight, but thank God we didn't have enough people Anyway, we managed to play two night games, last Friday and Wednesday, pretty challenging as seeing stuff is impossible and using a torch is a death sentence. night games in the woods are 99% reliant on noise, so gameplay was a bit stagnant, but fun nonetheless. Note to self: mk23 as a primary next time and LAM upgrades.
  4. I kinda want to replace the whole set with cowcow parts but they're overly expensive to import. I might eventually just replace the hammer. Thing is, the AA hammer is just as expensive -.-
  5. I almost got my (old) radio nicked a couple of years ago. Had it in its pouch, unbuckled, so at one point it fell out on the main path. After the game, a teammate found it and asked who the owner was, this woman from another club claimed it was hers (legit Karen levels of yelling), luckily though it had "17" written on it, which was done by the previous owner and I got it back. Quite hilarious as this woman was very upset and kept arguing it was hers, but nobody saw her with a radio that day. Some people are just disgusting.
  6. 'nother update: This is the current state of my AAPs. You can see the TTI triggers on both, TTI selector on the DMR and standard AA charging handle on the pistol. Detail of the pistol (the sticker is from the latest tournament to indicate it chronoed at sub 1J) Closer look at the DMR (the missing screw on the grip stripped itself to all fuck on installation) Detail of the TTI selector
  7. Pretty solid, I expected it to flex a lot but surprisingly it doesn't. TTI triggers and selectors are solid as well, the finish is nice although the red ones have a slightly different shade than AA's red accessories. The selector was supposed to be stiff, it is definitely positive but not hard at all to operate. If you buy the TTI selector it comes with a short stroke buffer and stiffer nozzle spring, so you only "need" the main recoil recoil one.
  8. Stock barrel is perfectly fine. You don't want to risk running a hot gun
  9. As expected, installation was piss easy. The grub screws are caked in threadlock though, so they require a little bit of force. The only "hard" part was to screw the smaller grub screw into the knob, it needs to reach the spindly thing's centre and you need to put pressure on the knob itself to prevent the spring and ball from yeeting themselves. P.s. it works with the Hadron kits, can't wait to take it out for the next game on Friday.
  10. Genuine ones go for around the €120 mark, if you can find them. I was referring to clones, they're crazy expensive here
  11. These things go for exorbitant amounts of money here lmao. We're talking €50+
  12. Is it an indoor or outdoor gun? Because if it's an indoor gun the stock rubber will do, if it's for woodland games then you may want to get some nice range, in that case I'd recommed any of the ML rubbers (found decepticons to work particularly well), in 60° hardness. Don't forget a ML I-Key or a Hadron H-Plate to get the best results.
  13. Just got my TTI selector (along with a stock and another tti selector for my teammate), installation seems pretty straightforward: remove the stock switch, plop the new switch and linkage in (linkage goes first), screw all the screws, done. Drop the provided 4mm short stroke buffer and nozzle return spring if using the AA stock. Will do that tonight as soon as I get home, will test with the current Hadron SS kit
  14. Honestly doubt that. Okay it was hot today but the mosfet ran completely fine for two mags (AK high caps so it's close to 1k shots) before shutting down the first time, after that it ran for about 350/400 shots then shut off again.. My team tech says it's because the motor draws a lot of amps, but it sounds odd as the e&l m170 motor is essentially a SHS HT and I only run 7.4s 😕 didn't do any magdump either.. All the wires are intact. I have no clue. I'll have a chat with Jakub at Perun and see what happens.
  15. We don't play in the afternoon. But during my drive home it was hovering around 33/34. On a side note I found out why the AK stopped working: the mosfet kept overheating and as a result it kept shutting itself off. I'll crack it open later and check for the cause.
  16. Today was fun, only 8 people + one observer, played escort the VIP mostly. My AK decided it was not willing to work so it decided to die on the third game (it has something to do with the mosfet and motor, will mail Perun later), and because I brought the smersh I didn't bring any backup (no, not even a pistol) but nonetheless I had plenty of fun Last Sunday game for this summer, we are switching to Friday nights until the temperatures come down a bit, this morning it was rocking 30°+ which is well over my threshold for heat.
  17. Yesterday we played the 1st tournament after covid and I have mixed feelings about it. Some objectives could have been fun if it wasn't for some defenders who thought it was clever to not call hits despite being drowned in plastic. But what can you do? If the ref doesn't see, the ref can't do anything about it. Out of 5 objectives, we got the 1st one with about 50% of the points, 2nd was an utter failure (due to the aforementioned player), 3rd was a nice 100% clear, 4th went to shit and 5th we got away with 90% of the points (could have been 100% too but I messed up a small thing at the end). We ended up being 4th out of 13 teams, not too shabby considering that (literally) half our team was at their first tournament. The field was crap, really open terrain with little cover for the most part, zero shade, high temperatures and humidity, it was genuinely hard to breathe.
  18. Tournament today.

600km drive, slept 3 hours and I'm pissed off already. First cunt who doesn't call hits is getting a buttstock in his teeth.

If that wasn't enough now teammates are asking me for extra batteries and shit.

Couldn't see it, we got stuck in traffic on the highway and came home 5h later than we should have.

The tournament was meh btw, I'll write about it tomorrow on my thread.

  19. Or a gun that runs well out of the box and reflects the price tag.. You know, those little things
  20. Didn't play today, there weren't enough people and the weather is now way too warm to even breathe. Took the opportunity to check my M4s for next week's tournament and finish my AK, which needed the new Perun v3 installed and the gears short stroked. Installing the mosfet is relatively easy, some soldering is required (negative battery, positive motor and signal to positive) because it's impossible to have a universal harness for V3s. Two teeth removed from the sector as well. Programming the unit is a bit of a cunt tbf, the new hybrid has a very convenient LED system that tells you which setting you're fucking with.....too bad that my gearbox is sealed shut lol. Turned out well, can't wait to use it
  21. I give up.

Either SHS springs aren't what it says on the package or I got everything wrong in my life.

229mm barrel, 3/4 cylinder, great air seal. Two teeth removed from the sector.

    SHS m100 chronos at 1.25J

    What the fuck?

Yeah, this m100 isn't an m100 at all.

Luckily I had this unnamed spring that dropped the power down to 0.91/0.92J :D

Yes, I bought an SHS M100 a couple of years back from some cowboy outfit, M42AK, or similar, and ended up getting 1.3J (humblebrag) out of a stock CYMA piston, 3/4 cylinder and a 229mm 6.02 ZCI barrel.  Ouch.

Mind you, a Kyou M90 spring dropped it to 1.1J, which is about what I'd expect, so I'm not sure of the SHS was that much over, or if it was just my awesome, accidental air-sealing skills that did it.

      damn cowboys 🙂 🙂

  22. Them hadron kits didn't seem to increase the rof by a noticeable amount. Recoil vibration is definitely muffled though.
