If only they made bakelite 5.45s

Dis, right here

It does put extra strain on the piston/sector gear, but nothing I'd worry about. Most mosfets have the option to disable precocking on the fly, so once you're done playing you use said function and store the gun with the spring relaxed.

Galaxy Mp5K. Cheaper than dirt and a decent project gun (imo)

Need to get me hands on a few dissidents, to please the ghost of Mikhail. Essentially one grub screw (below the barre in the pic, the screw pictured is just a placeholder) that holds the C-Clip yeeted itself in the woods at some point, which caused the barrel to rotate on its axis. There is now a humongous gearbox screw in there, which isn't gonna come out anytime soon. Russian problems require Russian solutions. Blyat

Let's set up an Airsoft parts smuggling business

One week later, still "processing"

Unless you live in Italy and customs ask for an invoice. But yeah the last order I placed on wgc came and only paid €25 in fees against the 70+ I had calculated.. Then looked at the label and yeah, €92, basically half of what I actually paid.

I swear to god my AK is cursed. Yesterday I took it out for testing, the mosfet doesn't overheat anymore but now the hop is all over the place and one in 20 shots just rolls out the barrel. Haven't checked yet, maybe it's just a dirty barrel or maybe it's the combat union hop unit (nozzle actually). Luckily I brought the pdw as a backup so I had something to play with. Also being the lazy twat that I am, I left all my kit in the car, which means I'm now going to the local abandoned fort to test the ak and see wtf is going on. Way to spend a lunch break huh? Next Sunday we'll host an event, it's nothing special but we invited all the club's from my region, it's gonna be fun and I'll most likely bring the vsr + mk23 + aap and spend the day in a bush plinking at idiots. EDIT: the grub screw that keeps the c-clip in place on the CU chamber worked itself loose and now it's lost somewhere in the woods, so the barrel could freely rotate.. Replaced it with a long ass screw, hopefully it'll sit tight now.

Ares Amoeba Striker AS-01/AS-02 Owners Thread

What Samurai said. I used a (shit) 3d printed hop arm on mine so I could use Maple Leaf tensioners, but the GunSmithy is actually very well made. -
But is it a £700 SWAT LOADOUT? (There are two kinds of people in here: those who know, and those who lie)

Fast forward a year later, I have a small question: How long do they take to pack an order and send it?

Forgot to add pictures. Here, have a low quality, crap lighting image of the pistol one: And have a terrible quality detail of the TDC hole:

Gun / Spring / FPS / Energy Reference Wiki
Skara replied to S Porteous's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
It's nigh on impossible to have an actual chart of what spring achieves what energy in what gun. To have a somewhat "fair" comparison, the chart would need to have: Cylinder length Cylinder inner diametre Cylinder type Actual Cylinder Volume (so the inside area multiplied by the distance between the end of the port and the cylinder head, nested into the cylinder) Piston travel Number of teeth on the sector gear Air Seal rating (tricky, maybe on a scale from 0 to 10 and each number has a coefficient) Hop chamber Hop rubber Inner barrel length Inner barrel diametre Spring manufacturer Spring material Spring coefficients (gl finding them) BB weight BB brand BB average dimension (yes, get on the caliper and measure every single bb you are going to use) BB average weight (same as the above but with a precision scale) Not to mention how parts are aligned with each other and other bollocks. -
What error do you get?

I had a look at them, and I wasn't impressed, but that's from an aesthetic point of view. But then again CowCow parts are shiny

Hammer sets arrived yesterday and it literally took me 5 minutes to do both guns, I was expecting to suffer excruciating pain with all the little springs and pins and parts and shit... The only "issue" I had was to figure out how the hammer spring wanted to sit, but anyway. I have also moved the mamba upper to my pistol and drilled the TDC hole. Now I just need to wait for those cunts at Airsoft World to post my stuff.

How do I prevent or mitigate gearbox cracking in the future?

What's not clear about using polymer cylinder and piston heads? -

I run their poly piston heads. They work fine at 30ish rps -
Unfortunately I live on the other side of Europe

Don't dry fire like a MF: There is no resistance caused by a BB in the hop unit so the piston will just slam forward with all its force. A couple of shots at the end of the game day to make sure there is no bb left in the "chamber" and unplug the battery. Use PLASTIC Piston heads and Cylinder heads: Metals aren't very good at absorbing vibrations, the impact from the piston is transmitted directly into the gearbox shell and it'll eventually crack. A damping pad on the cylinder head might help, but depending on your setup it might fuck with your AoE and cause a whole new lot of issues. Make sure your airseal is perfect: As with dry firing, air leaks will lessen the resistance caused by the air being trapped between the piston head and bb (seated in the hop rubber), causing the piston to hit the cylinder head with more force. Plus you get inconsistent energy output, hop up effect and crap performance. A perfect air seal will let you use a weaker spring to achieve the same energy output, which in turn reduces the stress on the gearbox shell. Radius the gearbox: Helps, but if you don't do the above you'll still crack it. You can run high RPS builds in pretty much every gearbox shell bar Onions and Ares boxes (for real, Ares gearboxes have the same strength of wet tissue paper). -
Just bit the bullet and bought this: https://www.airsoftworld.net/tti-aap-01-cnc-pcc-kit-black.html Completely unnecessary and stupid expensive..... But it's shiny.... Someone please help 😢

So. My bank account is crying, my hammer parts finally reached my customs, and I have just ordered a TTI carbine kit from Airsoft World for € 240 ish including a super expensive UPS shipping and import fees.

So yesterday was mainly about testing the mp5 high caps I had bought for my King Arms PDW and my general CQB/PDW specific loadout. They feed fine, but they sit a touch too snug into the magwell so I'm gonna slightly sand it wider, maybe a quarter of a millimetre per side, just to ensure they drop nicely as the magazine release is proprietary and looks ultra flimsy and I don't want to force it in any way. Gameplay itself was meh, I wasn't focused at all. But everyone didn't seem too motivated either, so I guess it was just one of those days Also when I came home i took the AK apart for the N'th time to clean the mosfet and give it a general check, ended up reshimming the bevel gear, leaving it a touch looser. Hopefully it'll run fine next Sunday.
