  1. Never ceases to amaze me how many people walk away from the high speed offs but get hurt falling off at the lights ??️ I came off at 80, all I needed was some savlon for a couple of grazes & some clean underwear lol?
  2. Thanks for the replies guys, yeah I'm set for an uphill struggle with the physio & fitness in general, as my ability to train declined over the last 3+ years, the timber started going on, coming from a long line of big "units" I know it's not easy to keep off, so even though I'll be doing everything prescribed & more, I'm also concerned the knackered right knee that also needs doing but isn't scheduled yet is gonna hold me back a bit from achieving goals, I think I may have to rely quite a bit on Robocop style knee braces to aid stability for a while. @rocketdogbert, your accident sounds bad, was it a motorcycle ?
  3. Good to hear someone getting something back from the bloodsuckers lol, grenades can be great, literally game changers when used properly, but they don't always "fit" every site or situation, & losing them can be a real downer?. As for go-pros etc, it's a personal thing, only you'll know if it's your thing & whether you'll get the use out of it. One question, how are you for guns ?, If you tell me you've got two or more primaries then all's good, but if your currently reliant on just one then I would say put the rebate towards another, all the gadgets etc are great but in my experience the kit to put bb's downrange is a necessity before anything else. If you do go for a grenade though, you can't beat an old fashioned timed dynatec, not the prettiest but definitely the most reliable.
  4. I can't get to my kit at the mo, but one thing I do have is a couple of molle "handbags", all my load carrying kit is primarily black or od, irrespective of the camo I'm wearing, these bags have molle on one side, couple of rows on the ends, & molle with straps for attaching to a vest or bergen, I removed the attachment straps so it gives me molle platforms on both sides. Regular mag pouches on the front, usually shingles or tacos that'll take a variety of size mags, on the bag panel I have a large shotgun shell panel, elasticated to take 18 shells I think, so if I switch weapons during games, all I need to do is take the bag off, rotate it 180 & put it back on, hey presto loadout change. The couple of rows at each end of the bags have a twin pistol mag pouch on one end & a twin 40mm pouch on the other that takes my reusable grenades. I'll try to find a pic of the bag on ebay.?
  5. I'm bone on bone on both knees, clean out & repair surgery twice on the right in '95 & '15, once on the left in '20 (I think ?, last couple of years have been a weird blur?), years of rugby/ice hockey/boxing in my youth, never mind the relentless tabs in full kit & bergans were always gonna take a heavy toll, I'm only 54 ffs so I've had to fight to get anything done, "your too young" has been the automatic response for all involved, until I eventually cornered the surgeon & pointed out that he was expecting me to struggle & suffer in so many ways until I'm considered old enough, maybe another 10 years, assuming my cancer doesn't get me first. He had no ethical reply to my argument, let out a sigh & said he'd put me on the list lol. If you need it, you gotta keep on & quite literally be a right nuisance, thankfully I'm good at that ?
  6. As the title says, I'm getting one in 13 days, my non dominant left knee, not that it matters, the right one is royally Fooked too?. My question to the rest of the forum is have any of you guys had a total knee replacement, & if so how long did it take you to get back on the playing field, any issues ?. I'm realistically expecting to be good for nothing much for 2-3 months, but being the determined old git I am, I'm hoping I can meander round a flat site soon after that ? ? Be good to hear anybody else's experiences following similar ops. Cheers guys Mark
  7. Shotgun slings are much the same, not ideal as they tend to move/flop about making grabbing shells fiddly, especially if your on the move. Much better to have a shell panel or pouch on your person so you gain some muscle memory in use, like any other mag pouch, or consider a shotgun belt system if you don't want to mess with your vest rig. Also recommend a small dump pouch for ditching "empties", otherwise their small size & weight is piss easy to lose if shoving in pockets etc.
  8. KSC m92's had the decocker for years, as did my old TM 226, never owned a 1911 (yet?) so dunno, pretty sure my hi-capa's have the half cock function though, been so long since I used them? (hopefully next weekend ?)
  9. No, your thinking about the owners ? (big gun, small.........)
  10. LOL, I'm not sure that Gun Jesus would approve ?
  11. It's a rare thing given the average age on here ?
  12. LOL, it was funnier the first time we heard it, a couple of pages back?
  13. I nearly got sucked in by an ad on FB last night, motorcycle dolly for about £40, nearest I could find them on eBay was around £200, all very professional looking until I got to payment, all direct payments, no options for Paypal or similar middlemen, thought fuck that, I'd have gladly paid a bit more if it meant I had peace of mind. Pisses me off though when ads are all over fb, you know there's loads that will take that chance in the belief it's on the biggest social media site, it must be legit lol?
  14. Da Fuq ?, how do they think they can get away with that shit ? On the plus side, it'll go lovely with your loadout ??
  15. I was gonna recommend flecktarn.co.uk, but their Tru-spec stuff is showing out of stock☹️, might be worth giving them a call regarding a restock.?
  16. LOL, they're definitely taking their hits, it's their bosses that are denying them ?
  17. That's a bit like saying you put your car in for 4 new tyres, but when you got home you find only the front tyres are new, the back tyres they replaced with barely legal part-worns, but still charged full price. You wouldn't rate them on getting half the job right surely ?
  18. Yep, in much the same way that anybody who touts themselves as a credible "tech" in ANY field should have, but the cynical amongst us knows that in the real world it varies massively, & even more so in the alternate dimension known as Airsoft lol
  19. Do they not test their work ? If not I think they've used up all their "second" chances, especially given the time & mileage costs you've incurred, which technically you should be able to put a price on given their repeated failings. A courteous phone call, backed up by a courteous but strongly worded letter is your next step, indicating your unhappiness with the events so far, & that it's all now on them to put things right within a reasonable time frame, with no further costs or time wasted by you. Failure to meet your requests should result in possible small claims court proceedings for ALL costs incurred, including your time & travel expenses, as well as a very public name & shame exercise on all appropriate mediums. Its what I'd do, but to be honest I wouldn't have been as patient with them as you've already been, after the first return I'd have torn them a new one.
  20. Bandoliers are great, I've often run them, they make for a good high speed low drag set up, especially if your bodyshape isn't ideal for belt rigs. First one I had was made by blackhawk, now discontinued but there's some good knock offs about, considerably cheaper than what your looking at, used to be a few sellers on ebay with multiple colours/camos, for about £15-20, can't find them at the mo but I did find this: https://www.carousell.sg/p/mud-brown-tactical-molle™-bandolier-sling-bag-1055799730/ EDIT : had a look at earlier topics re bandoliers, found this link on ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174606742374?hash=item28a75f7366:g:BrcAAOSwHHFY-Gfi
  21. I'll be very interested to see what arrives, this site popped up on my radar previously, I just assumed it was bogus as fuck & no one would be daft enough to throw money at them???
  22. Dunno, you planning on doing a load out to match ?
  23. Ksc G19, metal slide version, bought mine new about 21 years ago for £65, cleaned & lubed maybe twice, never missed a beat & nothing ever broke, loaned out loads of times too, replaced last year with an identical twin, keeping the old one for spares lol
  24. Don't think I'd gain anything with NV, already got some awesome torches that will get a good "cats-eye" reflection at up to 200 metres-ish, even the very best NV might struggle to match that, shame really as prices are pretty good. Trying it all, splattered all over the local fb pages, large flyers in all the local shops & we've posted hundreds of smaller flyers through letterboxes, & continue to do so going further afield according to possible sightings we've had (last one was 2 miles away ☹️) We've also deployed a capture cage from cat protection league in gardens that think they've seen him, loaded with fishy food & a blanket his sisters been sleeping on. Can't get any of the drone mobs involved as they only do larger dogs, kitties are too small & more inclined to curl up under shelter when not on the move, especially as temperatures are starting to drop. I'm walking miles in the early hours just to try & spot him, which is agony?, as I'm getting a new knee in november, last week I had an op in London in relation to my cancer, rode the 80 miles home 2 hours after waking from the anaesthetic, had some grub then went out looking until 3am, Dunno what IV painkillers they gave me but I was marching on like robocop lol, good shit?. When I catch him I'm gonna wring the little shits neck.
