No offence, if you've not got a clue, & I mean that in the nicest way, would you not be better off buying ready made, or alternatively I think there's one or more companies that do adaptors for some of the niche guns, allowing some "off the shelf" drum mags to fit. It's commendable to knock kit up yourself, but most guys that do it dabble/work in associated fields that give them the skillsets & equipment to undertake these projects.

Looks dodgy as f#ck, in fact he looks more like a Russian, or at least that region. Plus, how the fudge could he have served with the brits ffs, I think he's probably trying to scam so many people that's he's getting mixed up with what lies he's telling to who. As the old saying goes "liars have got to have good memories" 😏

So if it does turn out to be a bag of shite, who's getting the blame, Andrey or Bolt ? 🤔

Thought exactly the same thing, describes it as boneyard but that's definitely not a boneyard price, especially when I've seen them before, fully functional for 20-30 quid more. Definitely a case of "if it's an easy fix, fix it yourself & then your price is justifiable" ? But apparently in this case, the seller can't be bothered to fix it, maybe people won't be bothered to buy it lol

Had one of those too, OK but far from perfect. Ooh ooh, have a look @Hellfish

They're not great, hard to get a good lock, as an alternative consider a begadi prs korth holster, kydex but fitted out to attach to any serpa baseplate/mount, you could try remoulding it around your pistol/light setup ? Worth considering for not many pennies https://www.begadi.com/slings-holster/holster/begadi-hartschalenholster-fuer-ics-korth-prs-schwarz.html?___store=en&___from_store=en

What pistol you running ? If it's anything other than a mk23, I'd say ditch the the holster for a hard shell item, serpa or knockoff etc etc, those material holsters are super prone to knock the mag release when running, spitting expensive mags all over the place 😢

I love them, what they lack in range they make up for by literally slicing the enemy with their rough seams 🤕 #0.12'sFTW 🤣

I'm afraid, irrespective of the venue, AI are VERY revenue driven (prob due to falling mag sales),as players most of the AI team have had a deserved dubious reputation, which I've witnessed for myself on a few occasions. leopard changing its spots/old dog new tricks/blah blah blah, it's all relevant, & while I'll never book up for any of their games, as players they've been around long enough & have visited enough top quality sites that you'd would hope they'd make an effort to ensure these expensive events are memorable for the right reasons, put in to practice the aspects from the proven best U.K. sites , but alas their still just trading on their name, & not a good name at that. I think their days are numbered if they don't do something to inspire customer confidence in themselves as a "brand" ?

That doesn't sound very positive ?............. Why am I not surprised 😏

I'd always been fairly casual when on the rare occasions I sold kit, merely because morally I could never stitch anybody up with dodgy kit, but sold a pistol once & my spidey senses were tingling, so I made an up close video of the guns condition (something I'd never done before), as well as the three mags it came with, & finally all three being emptied through the gun. Sent off the kit , gave it no more thought. Month later I get a bs msg from the buyer, "due to work commitments he hadn't been able to play, nor check the gun, but now having done so he'd found numerous faults with both gun & mags that made it unusable & would like a full refund" otherwise he'll involve PayPal. What he didn't know was that another player who'd shown interest in the gun when I'd had it for sale, but didn't have the funds, had messaged me two weeks before to say the guy had posted it for sale on Facebook (back when you could), for considerably more than he'd paid. I'd checked out his page, yep the gun was in immaculate condition he'd stated, everything working as it should, & also lots of mentions of sites he'd recently played at lol. Needless to say my offer to send him the video, as well as screenshots of his ad etc, wasn't responded to, in fact I never heard from the chancer again, but it tickles me that when he couldn't sell it on, he might have bolloxed it himself to back up his bs claim 🤣

I still think it was definitely a positive result, the seller was upfront & detailed in known issues, the buyer, who stated "thanks for the working gun" or words to that effect, then placed it in the hands of an unknown third party who dismantled it, possibly without the technical knowledge needed & maybe causing further issues in the process ?, & then the seller gets a demand for a full refund in exchange for a bag of bits, that's some "Jack & the Beanstalk" shit right there, what if the bag of bits that came back was incomplete or parts had been swapped, sellers good bits for knackered bits from another gat ?. Is the buyer a knob, only time will tell but he definitively pulled some dick strokes (npi🤣), & most of us felt sure the seller was gonna get screwed over, mainly because its happened too many times before. So yeah, I'd call it a win, & thank you @1967PF44 for sharing it with us, lessons may be learned by everyone that reads it in the future. 👍

I agree, op should direct him to join here, not necessarily so we all get dibs lol, selling rifs via Facebook is still against their T&C's, & knowing how "intrusive" they can be may cause problems for those involved, as well as any Airsoft pages they're members of, whereas here there are no such issues 👍

Welcome, your in the right place for good well intentioned advice from fellow geriatric pie lovers 🥮🐖. Best advice I personally can give you is don't be sucked in by the gearqueers & stitch counters, for every bit of super expensive kit thats seen on seal team or similar, there's an airsoft version that costs about 20% of the real steel kit, & it'll do the job almost as well when you take in to account how much use its likely to get in comparison to real world combat. Plus, as you mentioned your lad is your youngest, no doubt your having to pick up the tab on everything for both of you lol. Same goes for guns, yes it's very easy to blow £500+ on top line kit, brands such as cyma do the job for considerably less, so no need to get silly (well not straight away anyway 🤣) With regards to load carrying kit, go as light as you can to start with, if you are carrying extra timber, overloading your self with multiple layers of sweat inducing tactical nylon will finish you off by lunchtime, so think about what you need rather than what you want. & have fun👍
