I used them a bit back when I worked in the square mile, so easy to jump on the tube at lunchtime & grab what I needed, plus at one point I was getting trade discount there via a site owner/teammate, which was nice? BUT On ALMOST every occasion I visited I found staff, including the owner, to be arrogant, borderline rude, & very much up themselves. Only reason I went there as often as I did was because: 1. I was getting very good prices 2. It was local, & being an old fart I hadn't fully embraced buying on the net, needed to "feel" the kit. But once the discount had ended & I'd stopped working in london, not felt the need to even consider them for online shopping.

Unfortunately Pat, your experiencing the phenomenon we affectionately know as "SODS LAW", in airsoft it means when it comes to facepro, all shots will hit where the protection ends, usually ears or Adams apple, a particular choker, alternatively you could go minimalist eyepro like I do, glasses or goggles, & you will be immediately blessed with hero status, never to be hit in the face again............. Or at least until the game before a big job interview/wedding/family get together, at which points "SODS LAW" steps up & says "hey buddy, thought you'd got rid of me?" , & you end up looking like you've got the worse case of teenage acne ever, even if you are 47?

Another very good point, OP's initial post reads like a young man who's vulnerable, & a mum who's understandably protective, hence most of our replies, but if he's managed to get to 34 without being hit by a bus or other heinous accidents, he's doing something right. The point @Pseudotectonic about eyepro fogging etc is also very relevant, most of us struggle if it happens, partially losing a sense, imagine it happening with no hearing too, maybe a good dye mask or one of those fencing style mesh masks are an option. Yeah I know some don't like the mesh kit, but I've been using it for years without an issue, my eyes are fine, everything else is fooked but my eyes are ok ?

@JinxDuh made a great point, get together some friends for a private game, maybe a smaller site or only part of your usual site, & whoever can sign the best shadow him 100% for the day. Gives him a good taster & you can judge how he'd cope on a larger scale ?

Hardly a question, you started a factual thread regarding an incident, one of many allegedly ?, & the outcome actions by the site, of which pretty much everyone here agreed was the right outcome. What you did ask was essentially "is any part of this discrimination ?", which I think we're all agreed on it wasn't, given the information provided & further background info gleaned regarding the sites other events designed to show inclusiveness of all disabilities, which should be applauded. Thing is, regarding a witch hunt ?, this is a public community forum, used by players & site organisers alike, all of whom it could be argued have a right to know if there's a potential timebomb stood next to them in the safety briefing, someone who could possibly harm them, or himself, if triggered. I'd call that a form of discrimination if that information was denied to the community, especially site owners, just to "protect" some pita bellend who's playing the wrong game, yes I get it he has a "disability", but if he knowingly exploits that to justify his poor & potentially dangerous behaviour, he's a pos that shouldn't be on any airsoft site, & he casts a dark shadow over everyone else who has a disability, of any kind, but can play without causing a shitstorm.

Surely to a lesser degree, every m4 boxmag dsg wanker is doing the same, trying to get an unfair (?) advantage by essentially trying to put down 2 or 3 times the bbs downrange against their opponents, all elements of realism are lost, as similar rof chainguns aren't commonplace on the infantry battlefield, yet walk on days are full of dsg wankers? If I had to guess (which I do lol), I'd think it was one of those head & shoulder jobbies? #me too, just to slow the soviet hordes rolling through Germany, at the time it was quietly considered futile given the apparent size/might of their forces, but seeing how they've performed in Afghanistan & more recently Ukraine, I think we might have made them really work for it ?.
