  1. Like I said, for airsoft it's still hearsay, but until it happens..........
  2. Pardon me for not quoting verbatim, I tend to try to use more layman's terms I'm sure anyone reading it got the gist of it. Yes, the law is explicit on requiring a defence in both retailers & private sales, the difference being that a retailer could expect harsher punishments & has potentially much more to lose. Whereas a private seller could get away with being convinced that following a verbal conversation, or written text on a forum or similar sales site, that the buyer is a bona fide airsofter with the best intentions for the use of the rif. But everything is hearsay until it ever gets to court (?never), we've got retailers that cut corners & accept all sorts of bullshit schemes as a defence, & private sellers that do their utmost due diligence to ensure thing stay legal, & everybody that operates in between.
  3. Agree with Lozart, 11.1 has the potential to shorten the lifespan of numerous parts, & keep in mind that a support weapon isn't meant to be a high speed bb hose, more a slow & steady tool for suppression.
  4. Da Fuq ?, so many questions, how'd he get a job as a taxi driver in the first place with so many convictions, aren't taxi companies supposed to screen employees for the protection of their customers. Why such a piss poor sentence, again considering how much previous he's got, yanks would have thrown away the key with him. And finally, how the feck is he 49, I'm 56 & he looks old enough to be me dad, years of drugs I'm guessing ? The whole thing is an epic clusterfuck, as has been pointed out, thank God airsoft didn't get a mention??
  5. While ukara isn't mandatory, there is a "responsibility" placed upon a seller to potentially ensure they are convinced that the buyer is either a genuine airsofter or at the very least will show commonsense in the ownership of said rif. BUT This is all inferred in the case of a private sale, technically retailers are the only sellers who legally have a duty of care, which to the best of my knowledge hasn't yet been tested in a court of law ?.
  6. Yeah I'd forgotten the details of original post, care to comment @Xtreme Tactical ??
  7. Oh bugger, kinda shot myself in the foot there, I'm after one of those sliding stocks for a jg ?
  8. Everybody wave bye bye ?
  9. @Jez Armstrong has a lot of experience with these, I'm sure he'll have an idea ?
  10. I've marshalled previously, well player marshalled to be precise, essentially the site "owner", who managed a number of locations at the time, was also a member of the team I played with, & as a team we prided ourselves on honesty & fair play, so if ever any of us attended his sites, it wasn't unusual to be asked to bolster the staff numbers. Being a player Marshall was a good compromise, I got to play for nothing, but also did my best to ensure everybody got the kind of gameplay they were entitled to, which is essentially what we all want isnt it ?. Dunno if I'd want to do a dedicated hi viz Marshall , i enjoy playing too much.
  11. Lol, only 48 hours, I admire your optimism ?
  12. Get it looked at sharpish, if its a talus bone injury the can be bastards to put right, but if caught early enough then a simple boot can avoid lengthy surgical options.
  13. Bugger knows ?
  14. Do you mean this thread ? working fine for me, might want to check your settings ?
  15. Given that this is the most active UK forum, especially for sales, keeping old threads around for reference is very relevant. Not forgetting that it's also the only place where members are allowed, even encouraged, to discuss the prices of items being sold here, or other websites. Those two aspects alone are a virtual mine of useful information for existing & new members alike. The only real issue with old sales threads is when sellers don't update their status, such as when items are sold.
  16. Lol, your googlefu is stronger than mine. General rule of thumb for s/h stuff in airsoft is considered to be 60% to 70%ish of the cheapest new price at the time of posting. But depending on supply, demand, or even who's using the kit in active service at the time can cause the accepted percentage to fluctuate. Problem you have is irrespective of rrp, not many airsofters splurge £200+ on load bearing equipment of any sort, not with so many good quality copies around for a fraction of real steel prices, with the exception of the hard-core stitch counters, but they're all bonkers lol?. Add to that, you've stated yours is a "desert camo", but which one & who uses it ?, that kinda info may give you a better idea of a target market, whether it's airsofters, reenactors, or even the home market of whatever country or units use that camo ?. Good luck, it may not be easy to shift but I sold an Israeli vest to someone in the Lebanon once, at a considerable profit, so anything is possible ?
  17. Had a dig around with not much joy, real steel vests primarily aimed at the Indian home market, as well as other nations in the region. They've not had any luck getting western nations to adopt these in any numbers, hence why very little has filtered through to the secondhand market. Almost everything on the net regarding this model is pretentious sales blurb, with no mention of pricing etc, probably considered crass to talk money ?. Best thing you could do is maybe contact mku via email, maybe spin them a yarn about travelling somewhere "spicy" for work & your considering body armour options, covert & overt, they might fire off a catalogue/price list without asking for professional credentials ?. Alternatively look at similar real steel pc's, & guesstimate a 70% price from that ?.
  18. Lol, that's SODS LAW at play.? I picked one up recently but yet to test it.
  19. While I always like to see the effort people put in to the more obscure airsoft builds, looking at those two pictured, can't help but notice the similarities between a Scar H & an 870 style shotgun ?. Would it not be more practical to make dress up kits for recognised guns, after all the big names such as TM have done the hard work & are readily available, body kits that dress up the available guns, maybe 2 part clam shell style that wrap the bodies, retaining the strength (& financial value) of the model within. Just a thought ? ?
  20. Lol, not with your legs, remember how you looked last time?
  21. Am I missing something ?, I get it that the real working bit of kit is pricey (& discontinued), but still available secondhand working for around £200+, but a non working "prop" with a ballpark figure of £150, even with a bit of bartering I can't see it coming down to what most people would consider more realistic for some dress up accessorising.
  22. Imperium is a site I've been keen to try, but is this kinda thing normal there ?, if so I'll give it a swerve, wasting time hanging around when we should be playing is one of my pet hates I've experienced at some sites.
  23. There's some concern that this member may be a scammer, recommend nobody attempts to buy from him until this is resolved.

Welcome to the forum Steve, PLEASE take the time to read the rules & acquaint yourself with the various thread categories. Then move this obvious sales thread in to the classifieds, & delete the other threads your clogging the wrong categories with. Thanks?
