  1. TBH probably done you a favour, you'll only go & get the hump again, clearly it's not a firm to waste any more time & money on, irrespective of your ban you naughty boy🤣
  2. Thanks guys, only after an OD one, & my pockets ain't deep enough for Haley kit etc, might have to find a retailer who does Airsoft kit & may be able try one with a mag ?. Alternatively I'll punt around for a s/h one that I can mod ?
  3. Hey guys, thinking about downsizing the literal ton of rigs etc I own, like the look of the helikon TMR, only issue I might have is mag size, every review & pic I can find relates to AR/stanag size mags, can't find any reference to larger mags such as M14/FAL/G3 mags, all of which I use. Anyone own one & use it with these mags, don't want to buy one only to find out it's not up to the job ? TIA Mark
  4. ? Ooh do tell more, stolen valour etc ?
  5. Dude, you might want to reassess your prices before someone posts you on "Mack's", quick Google on this sight & it comes up £55-65 on a number of sites, most with free delivery, & obviously they're new with warranty etc 😏
  6. So what were you thinking as you gazed lovingly at the guy in the red baseball cap, something like "get da fuq away from me dude, your camo's shite" 🤣
  7. Another section of rail ?, surely the simplest answer & available cheaply from eBay etc
  8. Don't like the sound of that, if it can screw up a gbb pistol in an evening, what potential harm is it doing to your lungs ?
  9. Not sure, unfortunately I wouldn't be able to attend anyway ☹️
  10. Yep, we were big on "blousing" back in the day, plus the 68' pattern smock had what we affectionately called a "bumflap", essentially a flap at the back that could tuck between your legs & secure on the inside front of your smock, meant for extreme weather etc, but used with the drawstring meant you could drop a family's week shopping inside your smock & drop nothing, especially handy when raiding the NAAFI for crisps & choccies 🐷
  11. Yeah, as was modifying kit, you'd get jumped on from a great height when it got spotted, which it would thanks to numerous bs inspections☹️ 6 of one & half a dozen of the other I reckon, but in my defense I was a very very young man, long before I became the goddam sexual tyranasaur I am today 😏
  12. 80's we never had dump pouches, just stuck them back in the mag pouch, upside down so you didn't pull an empty one out instead of a full one. TBH when people talk about high speed low drag kit, 58' pattern was the complete opposite, high drag low speed with lots of clumsy fumbling in the dark 😱 Reminds me of a bird I used to go out with 🐷
  13. I'd have one just for the Craic, but it'd have to be skirmishable, & there I think lies the problem, being able to set a consistent FPS that's not open to abuse🤔 Guess the only way to do that would be a fixed piston or draw stop, matched to your spring power ? In the past I've considered picking up a cheap bow from wish etc & having a dabble to see what I could come up with.
  14. Lol, jokes aside, so did I, as did a mate, we thought we were the coolest twats around when it rung in the pub & you'd fight to get it out of your inside pocket, & every conversation started with "yeah, I'm on the mobile" 🤣
  15. Very nice Bill, it goes with quite a "thwack", wonder what it would be like with some bean bag rounds lol 😈
  16. Ha, Apple, Android, your all sheep with your itty bitty smartphones "look at me, I can add whiskers to faces when I'm facetiming" 🤮 Try to control your envy, I'm still running this beauty on BT Cellnet 🤫
  17. @EDcase but it's not a TM or a GBB mate 😜
  18. Was at longmoor & someone had a rifle nicked (allegedly ?), The day overall was shit but I will commend the organisers for stopping the GamePlay & organising a search of the area & vehicles attending, thoroughly conducted by some plod players. Nothing found unfortunately & later the loss was considered "questionable", due to the past antics of the "victim", but I know I'd want the same effort made if my kit went walkabout. @loctez, what site were you playing at ? EDIT: Reading this back I realise it looks as if I'm talking about a recent game, it's not, it was years ago but the post about kit being nicked makes it a relevant experience I thought I'd share.
  19. Lol, bear with them, they're old & easily confused 😜
  20. Don't think it's jobsworth or spite, I believe it's financially motivated 100%, ukba recently advertised & took on loads of staff, including someone I know, & of all those new personnel, only a small percentage went in to the immigration side of things (the number of rubber boats turning up literally 300 metres from me is testament to that, in still trying to grab one before the BA when I'm walking the dogs🤣), the rest are on importation, nice & cosy with HMRC. Who knows, maybe their on commission lol 🤔
  21. I think we (& many other pastimes like ours) are getting fucked over from both sides, our own government has realised how much tax revenue has been slipping through, & is determined to get every penny it can from now on, hence the Draconian new rules on vat collected at source etc. On the flip side the EU wants to concede nothing, if the UK comes out looking like a winner, even slightly better off, then others may want to follow our example, especially since in recent years some of those who took the piss (Bunga Bunga etc), are now facing EU scrutiny & accountability on their own gravytrains, taking back their own laws look very inviting. Unfortunately we're just a cash cow for one & collateral damage for the other ☹️ As for being part of a masterplan to ban Airsoft, highly unlikely given the fact they now know how much we're prepared to spend on our toys, if public safety/health was the issue then they could have just as easily ban booze & fags, but we all know the answer there LOL.😏
