  1. QFT. Of course, on the internet, anyone can LARP as a psychopath. I'm guessing that our local gangsta kid had no dad, or too many temporary ones. Which I suspect is also the extent of the gangsta kid's rufty-tufty experience. Me, I keep it old school, street style. Does he actually add any value here? I've had him blocked for as long as I can recall. Which is of course only about 10 minutes given my advanced years.
  2. Almost anything will take almost anything. Some exceptions are early G&G ETU models which could give low battery issues when running 7.4V lipos, and the risk of getting either double shots on semi, or premature engagement on auto, running 11.1V. There's nothing special about lithium vs nimh though, an electron is an electron, and you don't need a "lipo ready" gun, or a mosfet, or any particular gun to run 7.4V lithiums.
  3. "Upgraded" to a monkey-metal basic-bitch dial hop not as good as the plastic unit that you'll find in any Specna. I shudder to think what sort of day-glo orange will be found under that Desert Diarrhoea rattlecan paintjob. Guilty. Transport him to the Colonies, and his children, and their children too.
  4. Marmite has been (seriously) suggested as the solution to conflict in the Middle East. They say it's to address a zinc deficiency, but clearly the real result would be to unite the entire region in fully justified loathing of the foul Satanic sludge.
  5. That. Only psychopaths actually go around prepped to flip-out-and-fite-IRL at a moment's notice. Most "fights" are over before half of the participants know that they've even started. Not that I want to see this at any airsoft site, ever, but the only real interest I have in these handbaggings is how they're resolved. Back in the day, etc, etc, it would have been sorry-mate-lost-the-rag, handshakes all round, and move on - at least the first time. Now, especially when caught on camera which makes everybody look bad (witness the excoriation of all three participants here) it's harder to forgive and forget.
  6. Ah, right, you have chosen wisely. I've gone mesh outdoors now, it's so liberating not to have the worry about fogging.
  7. Nice, what's the hole size on that mesh?
  8. Yes, but you get 2 more mags, which you'll doubtless need since it's shooting nearly as weakly as a Tokyo Marui.
  9. Always best to report these directly to @Jedi_Masteror the other mods to get the account nuked from orbit.
  10. Anything except those ASG non-devil blasters. It's always hard to be sure, but I've seen an incident of a rental getting fragged in the eyes through a mesh mask, and given that the site handed out 0.2g Blasters and had repeated reports of it happening that day, it's a reasonable assumption. They seem to get a bad batch every so often, but "it's not all of them" is cold comfort to the targets. PatrolBase is fine. Outdoors I use bios, Valken 0.25g, 0.28g and 0.32g, and for heavier stuff, Geoffs or Longbow. Indoors, BAW Bag (yes) 0.2g tracers, and I have some ASG Devil 0.25g Blasters that seem OK.
  11. Full disclosure, I made that mistake too, having bought a CYMA with a nimh battery, then gone deeper down that hole before climbing out. It's not a disaster, some folk still swear by them for their non-exploding properties. And yes, lithium charges differently from nimh, so it's likely you'll need a different charger unless you current one has a lithium mode. Any remotely decent charger will also balance-charge lithium batteries to keep the cells at the same voltage. We're currently liking the SkyRC S65 charger.
  12. Would recommend the series as a whole, there's some pretty decent actual science fiction in there, and a few of them are genuine short features. Being an anthology series means that if you hate one episode, you'll probably love the next one, and you don't have to wait long for it. The quality of animation in some episodes comes very very close to clambering out of the Uncanny Valley. You can almost forgot that you're watching high tech cartoons.
  13. The other possibility is just that the magazine springs aren't strong enough to shove the BBs up quickly enough, and/or are very slightly misaligned with respect to the hop and magwell. Have you tried other mags? Ex-Workmate Eddy's CM16, while a very decent toy, is a little fussy about mags.
  14. True, that's the account that's been spotted. He's doubtless running others as well.
  15. It helps though, and is a positive in itself. I got a few lockups on my JG G36 with the stock meh motor and V3 2-piece trigger. Both the minor trigger-trolly issue, and also a proper fuse-popper when the spring ended up almost fully compressed and the stock motor stalled out and wouldn't pull it any further. After switching to a Big Dragon M140, I never had another.
  16. I'm in two minds about whether to use their contact form to flag this up. He'll just create a fresh new account, and at least that one has negative feedback on it to warn his victims. https://www.airsoft-hub.com/user/Chris001
  17. Is there a particular reason that you went with NIMH? I mean, they work, but it's old technology. It's also surprisingly tricky for chargers to deal with since they don't know what voltage they're charging to, they have to look for the battery resistance to spike / the current to drop off. I know that lithium cells can get a little explodey, but the performance advantages outweigh that for me.
  18. I suggest that you start over. Forget the back-story, it's not relevant. Just spell out clearly what you are asking someone to do, in terms of actions, items, and money. What's going to be received, what's going to be sent, who's paying for it, and how.
  19. 310fps with a 0.2g BB is about 0.9J which isn't awful. It should be a little higher with an M100 spring, and as @ak2m4says, that's down to air seal. The seal on my Specna Arms Edge 1 isn't great, and it wanted the o-rings seen to out of the box. Airsoft guns aren't precision engineering; they're very over-priced toys. It's a matter for celebration when you get them dialled in, but you can have fun with a sub-optimal gun - as long as your enjoyment is based on the performance in the bushes rather than numbers on the bench. "Matey at the field" wasn't wrong about M100 being a decent default choice, but here's the thing: when you tell an airsoft tech exactly what to do, you don't get to blame them when your instructions don't result in the outcome you were expecting. There are three pretty simple things you can do yourself to try and get the power up. One, clean the hop rubber and barrel. You should be doing this regularly anyway. Two, put some silicone spray into the nozzle, let it sink into the o-rings, then blow it out with some auto bursts before re-assembling. If that doesn't help, then try an M110 spring. Specnas have a simple enough spring change system; you just need a long Phillips or JIS screwdriver to take the bolt out from inside the buffer tube. Once the tube is off, the spring guide and spring come out and go back in easily enough. YouTube will provide videos for disassembly, and spring changing. The sooner you learn, the sooner you won't be at the mercy of well meaning mateys or techs.
  20. Blank firer, the favourite of chavs, Walts and bank robbers. Nothing to do with airsoft, just back slowwwwly away.
