I also saw - on Facebook of all places, which is why I can't find it again - testing of lipos sold for airsoft vs those sold for RC use, which found much higher internal resistances in the airsoft packs, even new out of the box. I've formed a belief that we get the trash-tier cells that don't make the cut for RC use. But I've learned to stop worrying about it since my toys do what I need them to do, up to cycling faster than the mag can feed from a modest 11.1V / "1400mAh" / "30C" battery[*]. The numbers may lie, but, meh, they do the job. [*] Although worryingly I've just done an inventory and only found one of the pair of these that I know that I have. Now I have a little firebomb hiding away somewhere waiting to have something hard and heavy dropped on it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but do all 6-shot guns load 2-BBs per barrel per puff, and therefore split the energy between them? I've had some ouchies from 3-shot BBs, but 6-shots seem to float a cloud of BBs instead.

Bingo. Ultimately, WGC can claim their money back from UPS, you can't. Your claim is against WGC. I wouldn't go into detail or nuance, just "UPS have lost your goods, so I need my money back". Let them argue it out. If you get any sort of runaround, initiate a chargeback with your bank or card handler. This itself takes weeks to complete and you can cancel the process at any time, so the sooner you get it started the better. I've found that initiating it results in retailers suddenly getting their thumb out.

It's a total shitshow. Every courier that I've looked at except for Parcel Force expressly prohibit imitation firearms and airguns. That's not to say that they'll actually reject them - plenty of retailers use them. BBGnus4less, for example, explicitly recommend using Evri to return goods, even though Evri explicitly refuse "Weapons and replica weapons – including decorative, deactivated or air powered weapons". 🤷‍♂️ I see Parcel Farce have recently updated their restrictions, and have pulled all firearms related items out into their own section https://www.parcelforce.com/help-and-advice/account-customers/account-prohibitions-and-restrictions Annoyingly, it's all still rather vague and contradictory, but they will take both "low powered air weapons" and "imitation firearms". They used to say that they wouldn't offer enhanced compensation on anything shooty-like, but I can't see that any more. tl;dr version - if I were sending something £500+ I reckon I'd use ParcelForce 48, sent from a Post Office counter, and paying for enhanced compensation. Worst case, that forms a contract with the Post Office that you could argue later.

Sadly, the vermin will likely get better at their Photoshopping as it gets called out, but it's still worth asking if you're in any doubt.

It is a curious one. Some of them are unhopped / randomly hopped and/or low powered junk where you'd be lucky to get one BB on target at 20 feet. But some are not, and that "predator targeting" rash if you unload at 6 feet can be unpleasant. Also, if you end up with just one BB loaded, they can sometimes shoot a bit... spicy. In mitigation, I'd suggest that they're generally used by people who know what they're doing and who aren't out there to be tOp TiEr OpErAtOrS - I'm always mindful to keep mine aimed down, even more so than with other toys. As with a lot of airsoft, I suspect it comes down to what a given site owner / marshals / marshals' mates want to use, until one of them objects to taking a full load in the face.

Yes, he's put a fair a bit of effort into manipulating it, which is pretty surprising. The marks in the foam are identical though, and he messed up the removal of the original note. Still a pretty decent job though and it would have fooled a lot of people - good on you for checking.

It's not even that useful as a parts donor because mine also has that front end structural failure, so I assume that's endemic and common. It's the sort of thing that you might pick up at a bring-and-buy for £30 or so, then try to figure out how to restore the safe and semi to make it usable (but more likely just throw it in a box and forget about it).

It really comes down to how you play. CQB, careful single shorts and a few short bursts, sure. Magdumping hi-caps, I'd want two of those, and (as above) switch at lunch. Higher C is always better. The motor will only draw what it needs, and you don't want the battery to be the limiting factor.

I'd suggest that you start doing that, just to whittle the collection down a bit. You could stick the whole collection up as well, and keep updating it, but I think you may be waiting a lonnnnng time for an offer that comes close to even half of the notional price that it could all be flipped on for.

Well, if we're going to veer back on topic, I do prefer to run a bit on the bondage rather than the floppy side as I find it helps with holding up our super-heavy plastic toys over the course of a day. C-clamping is mostly pretendy for our purposes, but, well, that's what we're all doing, right? 🤷‍♂️

(2) If it does, I don't see him hanging around to have his non-airsoft-airguns / Section 5s seized and tested. (3) I very much doubt he's got professional indemnity (he ought to, given that he's a professional shitweasel), and it's always better to go after the deepest pockets. That would be the site's insurance given (1) Of course, that then raises the question of whether sites even have insurance. I have never, not once, seen any site publish or post details of their indemnity, whether public, or employers. On that, it's a finable offence to not display employer's liability insurance. Not that I'd wish it on any site[*], but if any money is changing hands in return for marshals' services, they might fall foul of that. [*] Unless they fail (1), perhaps.

Relatable. Or on the back. I get that top tier operators (and two+ gun competitors) like to transform more often than a 1980s toy-marketing cartoon, but I've very rarely been taken out while swapping guns before going through a door. Airsoft is a bit more forgiving than real life, I prefer comfort over absolute peak performance.
