Nice one on getting back into it. But <all-airsoft-guns-are-basically-the-same.png> and barrel length isn't really that significant. @Esoterickbasically ended the thread. If your SMG (what gun, mister?) has been sitting around for 3 years, it would definitely benefit from a thorough clean of the barrel and hop rubber, or replace the rubber. This is the same maintenance that you should be doing on a new gun so it's not like you'll be saving any effort by buying new. If it's down on power, I'd take some silicon spray and spooge it up the nozzle to lube the piston ring(s) before writing it off. Give it some bursts to blow it out the nozzle before reassembling so that you don't soak the bucking.

Even by "upgraded gnu" standards, I've rarely seen such a low energy sales pitch chasing such a high price. Strong Facebook Marketplace "lol just aks me m8" vibes right there.
-
Perhaps that's what they mean by "as close to the real rifles as possible". 🤷♂️ Eh, I'm sure there were a few people who set out to get robbed by Dick Turpin just for the authentic experience of it.
-
Best gnu ever + best upgrades ever = selling because I've "bought a better one".

At least one of those words has to be untrue.

And: Interesting plot twist. If he actually means that the buyer needs to arrange collection, that can be done. It'd be a big red flag for me though, and it's not like he's giving the thing away.

Seems we're segueing to "how to fix airsoft", so my unwritten rule is: be the person that you want to play against. You're sure you weren't hit, and you're sure you made the hit, and the other player says "You going to take that?" What to do? Argue it out? You're not going to alter what they're equally sure happened. Even if they are actually delusional, even if they're deliberately cheating, and regardless of what reality really was, right at that point, the best thing you can do is to say "Good shot, nice one!", put your hand up, and walk away. Because arguing the toss guarantees two sulky faces, over nothing, because there's no prize for "winning". When you've got the power to gift happiness, why not wield it?

Makes you feel better, but doesn't fix the problem. The actual solution. As with forums, 95% of problems are down to 5% of participants.

If you're on a desktop browser, you can get to the user menu just by hovering over a username, then the Ignore button is at the bottom right. Purely for example:

Generally, but not always: yes, yes, no, and you shouldn't be stabbing anyone with anything, let alone round a corner where you can't see what you're poking at. "Knife kills" should be carefully laying a hand or some toy on someone from behind, only as hard as necessary to make them aware of it, not engaging in any sort of fencing match. None of these should be "unspoken", they should be covered clearly at the briefing. If your regular site(s) aren't doing that, you might want to have a constructive word with the staff and remind them that there's no way for new players or visitors to know how they expect the game to be played unless they tell them.

If they're not visibly damaged or puffed up, I'd store them with the exact same degree of caution that you already use for a phone, tablet or laptop.

Airsoft weapons from Scifi films...

Seal could maybe be better: I've seen a super-spicy 1.3J out of an "M100" spring, stock plastic CYMA piston/head/nozzle, and a 229mm ZCI barrel just by lucking out on the airseal. What you've got is fine though, as long as its consistent - that's what really matters, rather than chasing 5m more ultimate range but being all over the place. One thing though, you might see some Joule creep with heavier BBs. I'd recommend chronoing with the BB weight that you intend to use, and some hop applied, unless your site is still chronoing like it's 1999 using 0.2g BBs.

From his selling history, bloke's got one of those very specific mid-century history interests.

Echoed and re-emphasised. The CM.5xx series are made of a very cheap feeIing plastic, so I'd go a little more upmarket (although I agree that the internals are cockroach tough). I'd say Jing Gong G36C, but stocking levels are parlous again. You're not likely to go far wrong with the Specna FLEX, and it's not like there's much choice at that price range right now. No need to over-think it.

They don't call it Plastic Crack for nothing, you'd be better off getting a "free one" down the skate park. All (well mostly) decent suggestions about, but what sort of activities do they like? If you don't know, then chess-boxing, I guess.

You'll want a VSR / GBB style bucking for that, e.g. a Maple Leaf Autobot like this. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/294329296678?hash=item448764a726 Opinions will vary about what hardness to use. I'm linking to the 75 as a middle-of-the-road option. You'll get suggestions to go harder or softer: t's up to you who to believe.
-
No, you're fine. See @Leo Greer's first response. Voltage determines how fast the motor wants to spin, and your gun is designed to run on 11.1V. Higher C / amps from the battery is always better, the motor will only draw what it needs. You never want the battery to be the limiting factor.

"Domination" seems to be a popular word. As far as I can see, it's not about the actual experience of airsofting so much as willy-waggling over having the absolute peak top extreme bestest gnu on site. And to be fair, renting a master-race gun for a day is a far cheaper way of slaking that thirst than building one yourself. Me, I get more satisfaction from each hit the worse the BB-flinger is. Shotgun, AEP, unhopped revolver and even springer pistol kills are the most memorable, not BRRRRTing.
-
And I'd suggest being realistic about what you'll get for it. It's only "new" to you, it won't be to its second owner. Also, there's not a huge market for AEPs to begin with. Work out what you want in your pocket, then add PayPal fees and the postage (Parcel Force express48 is the least hazardous), and use that as your list price that you want the buyer to pay, don't start bumping the number later.

New to forum, help with selling please!
Rogerborg replied to Dave K's topic in New Players & Arrivals
Eh, if you do end up getting prosecuted for selling, it'll be the first time in a court of record. There are airsoft retailers out there who are selling using a completely bogus defence, without the State taking an interest. If the recipient makes sensible use of it, it'll never be an issue for you. Posting is another issue. Every courier that I've looked into specifically prohibits sending firearms, or imitation or replica firearms. The safest option appears to be Royal Mail / Parcel Force, who will accept "low powered air weapons" (but not imitations, antiques, paint-ball or toy guns). Even then, the advice and requirements and compensation limits change depending on which guide you're reading, and whether you're asking Royal Mail, or Parcel Force. Parcel Force, express48, presented at a Royal Mail counter, described as "low powered air weapon", and with your name and address on the package, are about as clear as I can make out today. Other opinions and experiences are available. Personally, I just send via whatever courier is cheapest on the day, categorised a "sporting equipment" and hope for the best. -
Am I imagining it, or is "Vorsk" just another sub-brand of Nuprol, like Raven? Like, two rebrandings (minimum) away from an actual OEM.
-
Do you mean that it goes "pew-pew-pew", or that it goes "pew" but three BBs dribble out together?
