Bwahahahah. Oh, wow.

It's not that the revolver is too small, it's that the pocket is too big.

Sure. Camo tape aka sniper tape is a common option. Strictly speaking, modifying it into a RIF is an offence, but doing so for the purposes of airsoft skirmishing is a defence to that, there's no age limit on that defence, and in practice, if you're doing it at an airsoft site, it's entirely within the letter and spirit of the law, and zero risk. Nobody there will give a stuff what you've got or how you got it. There's generally a mix of rentals, folk with a pile of cheap guns (hello), milsim geardos with fUlLy uPgRaDeD electric guns, and speedsofters with scuba tanks strapped on their backs brrrting 3 birrion rounds a second out of pistols. The thing is, the BBs really don't care what they're being shot out of, and the difference in performance between the cheapest and most expensive guns isn't really that big in the real world. If you're there to take hits cheerfully rather than to make them, you can have a blast with just about anything. Some of us deliberately play with poverty spec or quirky stuff just for the satisfaction of getting a Hard Mode hit from a shotgun or revolver. Are you intending to give it a try yourself? You might find some sites want you to supervise in-game rather than just from the safe zone. It's a fun hobby, and worth trying at least once to see if you get hooked.

Nice one! Oh... "[Robustness] testing shall be done in accordance with 3.2 of EN 168:2001." Gaa, I'm out.

Had to laugh to myself....EPIC BB size...

Mmm. His early stuff wasn't too bad, but he quickly decided to go full clickbait with a toxic super-cereal hard-man persona (in a game of dress-up hide-and-seek with toys), and sadly, it's worked out for him - in terms of views, anyway. He's just abusing sites and players to create fictional content now, with careful editing and comically fake hit markers to create the impression that everybody (except him, naturally) is a useless hit dodging cheater. I really wish he'd sod off and find a different hobby to parasite on, since anyone who comes into airsoft because of watching his shenanigans is unlikely to enjoy themselves unless they're causing similar grief. -
Thirded. Considering that rental packages come with a ~£10 of BBs, you're only really paying £10-£15 for a day's gun rental (and support), which is a bargain compared to sinking multiple hundreds into a hobby that he doesn't really enjoy after the initial euphoria. As to age ranges, airsoft isn't like laser-tag, it's mostly sweaty old(er) geezers playing army dress up.

Ahoy and welcome, @-Cowboy-, and don't sweat it (I mean, not figuratively) about age and fitness. The only thing I'd suggest is taking at least 4l of water and rehydrating as the first thing you do after each game, don't rely on getting by on cans from the site shop. The bloke in camo, and the tall bloke in camo, will see you right.

Really, with inflation being what it is, and classic vehicles going up in value, can you afford not to buy it?

Actual footage of a rental encountering Kicking Mustang for the first time. -
Safe in several senses, as you won't interfere with any use that actually matters. Still technically an offence, so don't do it, of course. But don't do it less than you wouldn't use any other channels. Cheers, chap, lovely citations.

That's kind of why I was hoping that it would have leaked to us peasants by now.

Any luck on finding a liberated copy of EN 1731? That's what Nuprol are claiming for their mesh. Which is still £5 more than I'm prepared to pay for a document created using tax money.

Well, legally speaking you do need a defence[*]. Practically speaking, don't flog them to Big Baz behind the pub. [*] https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2006/38/section/37 (a) the purposes of a museum or gallery; (b) the purposes of theatrical performances and of rehearsals for such performances; (c) the production of films (within the meaning of Part 1 of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (c. 48)_see section 5B of that Act); (d) the production of television programmes (within the meaning of the Communications Act 2003 (c. 21)_see section 405(1) of that Act); (e) the organisation and holding of historical re-enactments organised and held by persons specified or described for the purposes of this section by regulations made by the Secretary of State; (f) the purposes of functions that a person has in his capacity as a person in the service of Her Majesty. or, added later, "permitted activities", including "airsoft skirmishing", particularly where third party liability insurance is held. You'll hear people talking about "UKARA", which is really just a central list of people who have site membership. Personally I'd be happy selling to anyone who can tell me where they play, and show any sort of evidence of it.

While I don't doubt this for a second, and it's exactly what I'd expect from being one of Those CB Users back in the day, I do feel compelled to get all nasally and adenoidal and demand "Source? Source?"

Good work, and actually that's what you want to happen: better that a plastic piston rack strips than one of the gears grenades itself.

Help choosing my first AEG please (Double Eagle M9XXX) :)

I'll hold off on battery recommendations in favour of someone who's got that exact model. Charger, we're liking the SkyRC S65, which is overkill for airsoft, but there's not much between that and the sub-£20 "smart" (i.e. dumb) chargers that are rolling dice with your batteries and fire insurance. There's enough room on the 906C to add a grip, torch, PEQ box, and all the other stuff that you don't need. If you end up with length anxiety, you can sling a silencer or tracer-silencer on. That said, life should be lived without regrets, and if you fancy the aesthetics of any of the longer ones, they'll all work. Follow your heart, and all that hippy jazz. -
Maybe down to £5.51 if you add to basket and wait 24 hours to be sent a 5% discount code. It's not guaranteed, but I usually get sent some kind of discount if I'm patient.

Ahoy and welcome. I'd avoid the sub-£100 CYMA CM5XX M4 series. The internals are fine, but the plastic on that range is very cheap and toyish, and that's the part that you can't upgrade. The G36C would be my choice from those three, I rate them as a platform. I think the CYMA G36s have better plastic than their cheapest M4s, but would welcome confirmation. The internals should be fine. I'd echo that the battery and charger that come with it are technically functional, but weedy and unlikely to last a day. I'd get straight onto lithium batteries rather than spending another penny on nimh technology. I'd suggest something like 2 of these or equivalent (although I'd measure the supplied battery and ensure that these will fit in the stock). Note that the CYMA comes with a mini (aka small) Tamiya connector, and that means you'll need airsoft specific batteries (RC vehicle Tamiya battery connectors have different polarity). https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-nano-tech-1500mah-2s-20-40c-lipo-airsoft-pack.html And a SkyRC S65 charger from wherever you can find it cheapest. This looks like a significant added cost, but it's really not worth cheaping out on chargers given the potential for things to go catastrophically wrong. Oh, if you're not in a hurry, and intending to buy from bbguns4less, then put your order together, leave it in your basket for 24 hours and you may get sent a 5% discount code. Enjoy the time and money sink.

Depends how compact we're talking. As far as I can see, the shortest green gas HFC is the HG-132 4". And unless the "B" version has actually started adding the listed (but non existent) hop, it's suitable only for point-blank humiliation kills in the closest of CQB. There's a superb, enthralling, flawless review of it here.

Yup. It's tragic that so many buyers keep falling for his fantasy pricing, and thanking him for it.

I'm not super paranoid about lipos, but I do pop them into a ceramic Explosion Containment Pie Dish while charging.

Rogerborg replied to Coupsty's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Ahoy, and welcome. You've rather spoiled our fun, as now we can't belittle and mock your choice and say "Just get a Double Eagle M9XX!". Well, it's solid advice. They'll all perform much the same (don't make me break out the meme...) so there are few technical considerations other than battery space (but that's just a case of buying more and smaller rather than fewer and bigger) or the AK mags on the M918G. You can make anything work. Whatever gives you hardest PP when you think about slinging BB really is the right choice for you. Have you had a chance to handle both plastic and metal bodied guns? Oh, top tip, if do go with BBgnuz4less, put whatever you want in your basket, then leave it for 24 hours and you might get sent a 5% discount code.
