Welcome Jack 🖐 Yep, as said by our Madhouse, you'll meet people there and most of them will be friendly 😁 The first time alone can be a bit intimidating but remember its not a test its to have fun. Just follow a couple of basic rules: 1) Shout 'HIT' and put your arm up when you feel a hit. (They'll keep shooting you until you do) 2) No magazine in the gun at the safezone. (Before going back take the mag out and fire a few shots to be sure its clear) The forum has lots of info on masks and other gear so do plenty of reading and you'll be ready 👍

Welcome 🖐 As said, do lots of reading on the forum because most questions have already been answered. You have some nice weaponry to start 😏

I must be weird cos it doesn't do anything for me. It completely jumps over the line of being absolutely impractical for anything except shooting dildo's a few feet 🤣

Welcome 🖐 Collecting is a thing for sure 😉 If you can walk then playing a game can still be fun.

Welcome Spawn2 Emergencychimps covered everything thoroughly so just to give short answers to your questions: Firstly, there are 2 main types of airsoft days: 1) Most common is an open day 'skirmish' where several short games are played during the day. (My answers relate to these game days) 2) 'Milsim' days are for more experienced players and involve a large war game that lasts the whole day or even a weekend. There are more rules about kit and weapons allowed for these games. - Basic English is fine. - You can go as fast or slow as you want. - No specific camo needed for 'skirmish' days - Its not important to join a group on a 'skirmish' day. UKARA is a system for buying realistic black weapons (RiFs) from shops. You must play 3 games with rented weapons* to be registered with UKARA, then you can give a shop your number when you want to buy a RiF. * You can still use someone elses weapons or if you already have one its OK to use.

Ah, strange. Not seen green ones before. At least they weren't the black ones 😆
-
Why is the BB green? Are you using quality BBs?

If its not engraved or at least etched then no paint will stay for long. You could buy the 'F' and 'S' letter punches (or a complete set) and once done go over the stamp mark with acrylic pen as Tommikka said.

EDcase replied to Astral's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
Hi, I think I know the ones you mean. My son won one at a fair in Spain about 10 years ago. (It didn't last long of course) You can get those kinds of things HERE but if you are in the EU it would be a lot cheaper to find a shop in your country. Many airsoft shops also sell the cheap ones so you'll have to ask around. -
New to airsoft - looking for advice/recommendations
EDcase replied to kirsty's topic in New Players & Arrivals
Yes, an air rifle is best if accuracy is the main objective (and cheaper) but the danger factor goes up by 100x A few rifle examples: (AEG) Gun-1 (Choose a colour option) Gun-2 (Choose a colour option) Battery (Should fit with most guns and last quite well) Charger (Note: This is the first suitable that I could find in stock. I do not know this retailer) Another alternative is a gas pistol (GBB) Realistic action and fun to shoot. Pistol-1 (This is a good one even in plastic) Pistol-2 (A big one) They use THIS gas which will be an ongoing cost. -
New to airsoft - looking for advice/recommendations
EDcase replied to kirsty's topic in New Players & Arrivals
Sorry but I'd have to disagree with that. A decent AEG (CYMA or JG around £150) should last a few years of garden plinking. High accuracy is a different matter but for plinking at cans or other targets around 10m to 20m should be fine. @kirsty Do you know what type he likes? American M4 or old Soviet AK47 style etc... -
There shouldn't be a lot. Make sure its seated properly at the front. You can slightly bend the sides together to make it a bit tighter.

This advert is COMPLETED!

Good condition. 6x pouches up front (4x fit M4 magazines and 2x small for radio etc) Large hydration pocket on the back with zip (No hydration bladder included) 2x clip fasteners at front. From the shoulder to the bottom is about 65cm The waist is about 100cm Unfortunately it won't go any larger as the straps are at their max. It would be possible to sew extension straps on of course. £25 all in. Includes post and fees.£25

Welcome back 🖐 As Rogerborg said, TM is commonly regarded as the best performing manufacturer but a bit more pricy (and not full metal if that's important for you) Most other makes are decent (apart from mentioned Nuprol) but there are so many variations between models that you're better off choosing a particular model that you like the look of and then researching which make is best. If you want best performance vs price I'd also recommend the AAP-01 (but avoid using the full auto function)

THAT becomes a problem once you have your UKARA number. Welcome 🖐 and enjoy all the frivolous, funny & fact filled pages on the forum 😁

Welcome 🖐 Have a look around. Plenty to see 😉
-
🖐 I'll put my hand up to be next in line to 'look after' it 😄
-
Ah OK. I'm sure there's a bit more of the German QC thrown in 😉
-
Welcome 🖐 All the info you need is in the forum. Just do some searches for starting out and you'll find lots to read. Have a look HERE to find sites near you.

Maybe, I don't have one. Just what I heard from my bike buds 😁

Josh: Will be interesting to see how the 'Evolution' develops (...More airsoft toy manufacturers the better) Rogerborg: True of earlier ones. They seem to be better now the electrics are handled by BMW 😄
