  1. Welcome. As concretesnail said, it doesn't matter which way around it sits. (It still spins in the same direction) Its all about the connector wires reaching the correct pin and there usually isn't much room to move them around.
  2. If it was shooting OK then started acting up its likely the hop rubber is damaged. Luckily you don't need to open the gearbox to fix so just search YT for a video showing how to get the inner barrel and hop unit out.
  3. Don't listen to anyone shitting on your ideas and goals. Just do it legally and safely. "InCamera" is a very good youtube channel. It really shows what you can do to get the effects you want in a creative way. Hope it works out well...
  4. Gas is OK but certainly not for anything electrical
  5. The flame (or spark canister in older models) on flamethrowers is there to ignite only and do not prevent the flame entering inside and blowing the whole thing up. The output pressure does that. It may be tempting but DON'T mix gas airsoft with any kind of ignition source. You'll regret it and may end up in one of those videos of stupid people 😆 If you want a cool effect when shooting get a 'Spitfire tracer' (although it doesn't work with shotguns)
  6. Yeah, Deans (also called T-Connectors) are the best for efficiency. You should get a 7.4v Li-Po (or two) 1000mAh or higher. (Not Nuprol) ...and a decent charger like a SkyRC s60 or similar. (Not Nuprol)
  7. I've got the SA-E03 Edge (v1) and very happy with it out of the box. Not needed any mods to improve things. Mine only has the basic X-ASR MosFet which doesn't have any programable functions. Read lots of good thing about the Double Eagle M906 on this forum so have good look into that one too. (I also thing G&G are expensive for what you get) Don't bother thinking about converting anything to DMR as there's more to it than just a stronger spring. You'll be wanting a new pew soon enough so better to get something more suited to the role. Its always good to have a backup on a gameday anyway...
  8. I think this issue was related to the Mac11 (Duno which make but likely ASG) Apparently it does say in the instructions that the bolt should be retracted before inserting a full mag otherwise the feed bar can be broken. As above, I've not heard of this being a problem with pistols but I would be wary of overfilling the mag with BBs and always test how much pressure there is on the top BB.
  9. As you know, UK stock of PKM's is non-existent. A&K parts a hard to get hold of at the best of times. (I've got their M60) I don't know if they're still making PKM's but the current Covid situation in China means they're working at low production level, if at all. Even if the company survives and continues production in the future it'll take quite a while for items to appear in UK retailers.
  10. Welcome Ian 🖐 Unfortunately its going to be very difficult to find spares for any A&K products. You'll have to keep an eye on forums for second hand and possibly boneyard items.
  11. Thanks for the info 👍 Will PM if I decide to order
  12. Yeah, price for any M712 or C96 thanks
  13. It varies by a few grams each time. I pull to a marked line then press the 'Hold' button to save the reading so I don't have to look at it while pulling.
  14. Yeah, same principle I guess. It does work quite well and testing a few springs you can make a chart of Kg vs resulting fps for a particular rifle. With enough samples from various rifles it should be possible to predict rough fps in general.
  15. As Roger said, the fps for a particular spring depends a lot on the gas flow efficiency so you can never say exactly what fps you'll get with a certain spring. I've made a simple contraption to measure spring power in Kg which will help get an idea of the fps you'll get from your particular rifle. PM me if you want to buy one (£10)
  16. Before I started playing and being UKARA registered I did actually buy a RIF (MAC10) using the film defence but I had to show proof that I worked in an actual production company. So saying that you want to make your own film will not work...
  17. The piston O-ring is meant to be loose. As it travels forward the air is forced in the holes and expands the O-ring to make tit seal. There shouldn't be any holes in the piston itself though.
  18. Probably got a bit bent with the initial impact. Worst case you'll need a replacement outer barrel
