The MK1 doesn't do much for me. If it had a delay then boom sound (white noise) for a few seconds it might be worth pursuing in my view. But the MK2 definitely has marketable potential as long as its priced right and up to the point a certain country makes a cheaper copy... My input would be if you could give it a thin rubber/neoprene outer to protect it and the victims. That would help it being accepted at sites (most allow rolling BFGs and dropping through windows)

Check HobbyKing and Vapextech as well

10 points for ability 1 for style 😄

Don't worry, we all started as boobs noobs 😁 For CQB 0.2g is fine. (The tracers will come in handy too) When you play in woodland 0.25 or 0.28 will work well. You'll have to adjust the hop of course but easy to do at the site range.
-
In a normal cycle you'll hear the motor run before it fires. What you have to do is let go of the trigger as the motor is running but before it fires. Usually a quick tap will do it but try several times to get the timing.
-
That's not much over. Can you test in your garden to set the hop so it fires nice and straight. This will reduce the fps a bit if the hop was set low. A definite way to lower fps a bit is to set it to auto and pull the trigger quickly so that it stops mid-cycle and leave it like that for a couple of days. You'll need a chrono to test it though.

Yeah the O-ring on the piston is meant to be a bit loose fitting in its groove. When the piston moves forward in the power cycle the air in the cylinder compresses and goes into the holes in the piston face. This expands the O-ring to make a good seal without binding. Then on the return stroke the loose O-ring allows for air to pass easily and not restrict movement of the piston backwards. -
The best carrier that actually allows RIFs is Parcelforce48

Welcome Slater I remember watching vids of airsoft play and thinking "that looks so rubbish and the guns sound awful" 😆 Of course when you're there with BBs flying around you its quite another experience 😉 We always recommend renting the first 3 games for UKARA registration because it allows you to experience the weapon handling (usually an M4) You'll talk to people with different setups and get to hold and shoot some other toys if you ask nicely. This will help you better decide what you'll want to get for yourself. Weapon length is NOT proportional to more range so keep that in mind. Does your friend have a pew you can use? Of course that would mean you don't have to rent and can play as a 'walk-on' just like him. First thing is to buy good eye protection. (Search the forum for discussions on best options) Second is to get good boots with ankle support. (Army surplus is perfect unless you want more modern comfort) Other gear is highly changeable and you'll collect all kinds of webbing and stuff

I already paid £30 for the day. (Non member walk-on) and it was another £30 for UKARA renewal. (Took less than 2 mins while I was there) I will question the UKARA price with the owner next time I'm there. I did clip the spring (QC is so great 😁) and it chrono'd at 342 👍

Yeah, I was surprised as it was only £10 the last time. They haven't increased the day rate so I guess they're trying to compensate

Yep, can certainly recommend (assuming this one represents the standard) I think its stock right @Shamal? The blowback effect is minimal but better than not having it. Nice and snappy on 7.4v LiPo. 1300mAh almost lasted the full day. (It died in the last game. Next time I'll change at lunch) The MOSFET (proprietary I think) works really well so lockups experienced. (Only used semi) The selector can be a bit fiddly. With 4 modes its easy to get knocked into a different one. (I did fire a few on burst when I thought it was semi)

Had a good day at Skirmish Wycombe again. Same games as usual but the varied terrain and good size means that you can try different tactics and approaches. Good food. The fugly (GSG G14) I got from @Shamal performed really well so thanks again mate 👍 My only annoyance is their charge of £30 to renew UKARA 😒
-
Good to know 😉 But you just said 'pins' so not sure if you meant cotter or solid
-
Mine are split pins so quite uneven. One is 2.6mm at the widest and the other is 2.8mm at the widest
-
Yup 🤪 The law really stupid in relation to air-rifles (and pistols) vs airsoft
-
I use FireSupport

If you are selling a RIF and want to check the buyer has a valid UKARA you can call to check. They won't give any personal info but if you give a name and address or UKARA number they will tell you if its valid.
-
You are correct except for a small point in (2) Anyone can check if a given name and address has an associated valid UKARA But of course the Police will not check that before responding to a reported weapon sighting.

Welcome Paul, Sounds like you're ready to have some fun. Hope you have good eye pro and boots as well.

...and if you don't like it I'll take it off your hands 🖐

There really is NO other option 😁

I take at least 2 or 3 toys to game days. Not only as backup for me and son but for different play styles. For example I might take a DMR, M4 and Mp5 so I can vary
