  1. Definitely sounds like a scam of some kind. Have you tried to reply? There is a chance its legit but proceed with caution.
  2. I'd say its similar to gambling or investing. Don't put in more than you're willing to loose. A bad fall can show how delicate our toys really are. Yes, they can usually be repaired but as BigStew said, that's IF you can find parts and they could be expensive.
  3. Hi and Welcome As Shamal said, check out HERE to find game sites near you. In the simplest terms you have to play 3 games at the same site within a certain time (3 months) (Most sites don't really care about the timing. Most people will rent a gun (you can buy your own mask & goggles) If you know anyone with a spare gun then you can use that without having to rent. Once you've played 3 games at that site you can request to get registered with a UKARA number. It should be free but most do charge a fee Without UKARA (+18) you can buy a Two-Tone (Imitation Firearm) [IF] It will come from the shop painted 50% with the most common colours being Red, Blue or Green With UKARA (+18) you can buy a (Realistic Imitation Firearm) [RIF] Hope that helps. Loads more info in the forum so dive in and enjoy 😁
  4. Welcome Sean Second hand can be a bit of a gamble but people with good reputation on this forum are a safe bet. (Still use PayPal goods & services as Oth21 said)
  5. Not difficult to fix with a soldering iron. Where are you based?
  6. Not bought from the forum then?
  7. Yep, tappet plate would be first thing I would check.
  8. Welcome Jeff (Same age as me 😉) Have a look HERE for nearby sites As said above, get some experience renting before spending too much money. Buy the essentials like mask, goggles & boots and make do with the basic rental gun. If you enjoy that experience you'll love it even more when you get your own pew pew. See what other players use and ask questions if you like anything particular. Most will be very willing to tell you all about it. Don't worry about going on your own, many of us did too. You'll soon meet others on a regular basis and it goes from there. During play we seldom stick together anyway.
  9. Once was enough for me 😆
  10. Its the main seal in the mag that's the problem. It is quite robust but when it does fail it can be a pain to sort out because if it leaks you loose a gas bulb every time you test it.
  11. I can recommend the WE M9A1 Gen2 (though I don't use the auto) Nice and weighty with such a smooth action.
  12. Yeah Co2 can make up for smaller gas reservoir but I got put off Co2 years ago by the faffing around and expense when the seals go.
  13. You're clearly young, easily influenced or him incognito. The fact he's been banned from so many sites should tell you the truth about him...
  14. The single stack 1911 mags definitely suffer from lower ammo and gas capacity which is why you don't often see them in skirmishes. That's the realm of the Hi-Capas Depends how much you rely on pistols in games and they're fine for collecting and plinking of course.
  15. Welcome. Its best to spend a few days searching and reading posts about starting in airsoft before buying anything. This will give you a MUCH better idea of what to look at buying.
  16. I'll play devils advocate. Normally I would stay away from anything related to Nuprol (which Vorsk is) but I bought the Vorsk VP-X mainly for the looks and to plink a bit as it was on sale so very very cheap. Its certainly not the greatest pistol out there but it does shoot BBs and its cheap enough that if it does fail unrepairably then I'll be happy I got my moneys worth of fun out of it. So go for it. Take care of it an don't expect it to last forever. Definitely let us know how it goes so we can advise future buyers.
  17. Welcome Have a look HERE for sites nearby. Skirmish Wycombe and Red Alert in Newbury are my faves so far
  18. A few years ago a guy who was a film armourer was selling a load of ex film weapons in A2 Supplies when it was in Reading. He said that all airsoft weapons were missing motors as it was a safety precaution. I bought an MP5 supposedly used in the first 'Jason Bourne' film and sure enough it had no motor. They'll only use GBBs for 'hero' guns when firing. Without blanks it will be much easier for the armourer to be sure they're clear before handing to an actor. Even if something gets stuck in the barrel it won't be deadly like previous incidents.
  19. I'm certainly no expert but my thoughts on what I would check... BB's dribbling out the barrel indicates a failed hop rubber. Feeding problem could be damaged nozzle, tappet plate or magazine issue (fitment or feed lips etc) As for upgrades. There are different opinions on efficiency of tight bore so maybe just look for anything the correct length. 350fps is basic performance so probably don't need to change anything in the gearbox for that. So the main thing to look for is a new hop rubber. I think 75 degree is recommended for 350fps but you'll have to do some research on the favourite flavour right now 😏
  20. Edit: Sniped by Asomodai If you had UKARA you could gift a RIF (Realistic Imitation Firearm(Black)) but without that you can gift him an IF (Imitation Firearm (Two tone coloured)) because that's what you're allowed to buy yourself.
  21. Agreed. Most likely the S&T so £260 new
  22. Or the SnowWolf available HERE for £220
  23. But not so high that you end up on MACKS thread 😉 (Pics should include forum name and date too)
  24. Welcome 🖐 Have a look here for sites UK Airsoft Map — PlayAirsoft I'm sure someone will give some ideas
