Sorry to hear. For any future use, you can check your UKARA status by calling FireSupport on 01733 247171 Might still be worth sending a letter from your site or renewing your UKARA and letting them know.

Chronographs - any cheap recommendations?
EDcase replied to ParHunter's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
I have a E9800-X I got from ebay. No Bluetooth or WiFi but it does the job with fps/ms, joule and rps readouts. They're much cheaper on Ali and if I were to buy another I would definitely get one there. (Just look around for a seller with good feedback) They all come from China after all... THIS is the one I have and seems like a good deal -
I've tried the purge method on a couple of mags that didn't seem to hold the same amount as previously and it seemed to improve them. Not empirically tested tho. Its very easy to do so may as well give it a try (and report your experience)

The result of a couple of purchases. WE M9 v2 and Compensator (Yes it would be better with trades and correct grip) Can you guess the film? ? As used in: -
Yeah, technically true but how many people actually use the other defences ?

Duno if mosesman831 is still around but the short version is; A UKARA member CAN buy a 'Realistic Imitation Firearm' (RIF) and GIFT it to you as a present. Only the UKARA member can purchase a RIF. BUT if it is seen in public or even reported by neighbours when using it at home then the Police will get involved and the person who gave it to you could get in trouble. If you accidentally shoot someone in the eye or a pet etc then jail time could be involved for the person who gave it to you. So if you do get one you'll have to be very responsible and treat it like a real firearm, including gun safety and avoiding any public person seeing it. If you want to use it in the garden then best to let the neighbours know its not real. (Legally a BB is not allowed to leave your property) If you want to actually play airsoft you will be allowed to use it at a game site with no questions where you got it. As long as you have good eye and face protection. You'll probably need a full face mask as you're 14.

Personally I never let the hammer fall. I've even had a trigger spring break from pulling the trigger too many times

Did something to my lower back a few years ago. Now I've got pretty much constant pain when standing/walking. I can just about make it through a game day but its tough at times. That's one of the reasons I don't play regularly.

Living up to your name ? -
Yeah, it only makes sense to order from overseas if the item is not available anywhere closer for a decent price. (I've ordered quite a few non airsoft things from AliExpress and all good so far)
-
I don't think they're so bad. Most of the reports here are positive. Just need to allow for long shipping times so don't order from them if in a hurry. I ordered some unique 1911 grips from them back in 2021. Can't remember how long it took but arrived fine.

Yeah, but most aren't narcissistic psychopaths

Welcome ? The Specna is a good starter Have a look here too: UK Airsoft Map — PlayAirsoft Milsim is more of a hard core game day with some sites requiring certain gear so I would recommend general open days which are a good combination of fun games with loose team play. Especially to start out. Indoor/CQB are faster paced like CS:GO Answers to questions: 1. No, a helmet is not required for airsoft but can be useful for protecting the nogin when running around. 2. A helmet is also good for attachments like ear protector panels ? You can get mesh masks with ear protection like THIS 3. Nothing required. Good eye protection and ankle high boots are recommended. Save some money for mags, decent batteries and charger. (search forum for recommendations) Enjoy ? (Don't watch Licking Muckstain [Kicking Mustang] videos)

Yep, I'd go as far as to say every airsofter needs a chrono

Simple answer: Search on YouTube There are two main types: - Electric (AEG) - Gas (GBB) Most common is AEG. To learn how it works and upgrade you should look at youtube videos for your model. Make sure to have a backup if you want to keep playing. BASIC OPERATION
-
Welcome ? Yeah, they are more fun than deacts for sure. You can play at the pace that suits you so its not all rushing around.
-
Sorry to hear. Hope you're on the mend. These things happen from time to time but its not much consolation when it happens to you.
-
As all the above: Forget shotguns and AEPs Unlike real gunz, size is less important for range and accuracy so the MP5 may shoot just as far as the AK. The MP5 is obviously better for CQB so that would be my choice in your situation. The Thompson could work too so its really about which one excites you the most... As Rogerborg said, keep some budget for a good charger and batteries. (Doesn't matter how good the shooter is if it don't shoot) ...and mags are a consideration as well. And of course good eye protection is the most important if you haven't got already.

Solder Flux/Paste is well worth having if you do regular soldering. I duno this brand but an example: Solder Flux Paste to Avoid Dry Joints - 20g: Amazon.co.uk: DIY & Tools I have this one and this tin has lasted literally years: Fluxite Soldering Paste – Shepherd Miniatures Just dip the wire into it before soldering.

Duno about the MR30 side but the Deans is correct

Sorry to hear. Only think I can suggest is next time you call someone at UPS tell them you'll have to inform the Police as the item is a replica firearm and its disappearance may have to be investigated by them.
