  1. Your UKARA has to match the address its being shipped to. As its not and its going to a business address you will need to fill out the form and hope for the best.
  2. Whats the skinny on Bulldog and Condor Plate Carriers, are they typical AliExpress Rebrand/fare, or something more?

At the moment I am looking at the following.

      Bulldog Tactical Kinetic PC

      Condor Vanquish PC

Pentagon Aspsis (I have one in black already and quite like it).

People claim Bulldog are made in the UK but I find it hard to believe.

Had a few Bulldog bits, still use the ECU2 Trousers - had them nearly 10 years now. Bulldog LMR chest rig I had was well made - no complaints about it's contruction.

I think they at one point used the same OEM as Invader Gear as some of the stuff was near-identical in design. Not sure if that's still the case but the Invader Gear Reaper QRB looks very, very similar to the Kinetic - only differing in small details that could have been specified by the respective companies.

I would bet my left testicle that Bulldog is not UK Made. But it's decent enough kit - better than the normal Viper fare.

Of the three you're looking at the Condor would not be my first choice, purely because of the design of the cummerbund.

      That Bulldog one looks alright.

  3. NorthEast Airsoft are releasing a FAMAS soon. You need to get your F2 CCE and Brelage back out!
  4. Any good Woodland site for Snipers in the UK that is near a major town or city?

I was thinking of trying to get an overnight National Express to a random Town or City and head to a decent Woodland/Urban site.

Anyone got a recommendation? I tend to find the large Woodland sites are no where near cities (For obvious reasons)

Just need a change from the London and South East sites.

I don't know if the Spec Ops site counts as a good 'un for snipers - there are definitely some decent sight lines, there are ghillied-up Groots and Wookies on most game days and they seem happy enough.

The bright lights of Milton Keynes can be yours for the taking ;)  Bonus points to MK for the fact it's on the M1 with the coach station only a few miles from the site, and the Euston > Birmingham line for the train is near the town centre, so it's piss-easy to get to.

Happy to buy you a pint (but one'll be about as much as I can afford at the moment) to say 'thank you' for the TM AUG you sold me!

Extra bonus points to MK  - you can visit Bletchley Park and see the excellent crypto museum.   And the National Computing museum.
And in the town center is a Retro Gaming arcade, if 70's arcades are your thang

  5. I believe it's the old Tech Brigade crew. I'll be visiting once I can badger a lift from someone.
  6. Anyone playing Airsoft tomorrow (Saturday 01/09/23), that passes through the London TFL network? Desperate for a game but train cancellations have destroyed any hope of getting their by myself and need a lift if one is going!

    Cheers!

Good old TFL, I'd pick you up by can't drive non-compliant car without incurring a nice £12.50 Khan charge 😞

    AA G36

Yup 15 seconds? if it's a silent fill valve, you wont lose much gas if you overgas it anyway. Nope Yes, practically the same rifle. Eh, I never use that position on any G36 rifles.

    Ares m110k

Honestly, it's just not that desirable because of the name, proprietary parts like the Ares Mosfet (The mosfet itself is notoriously bad) and it's nothing special to look at.
  10. Just turn up on the day. Don't need to pre-book. Cheers for the offer. I'll keep it in mind!
  11. Driver Wood is definitely on with a Car Boot as well. I am thinking of heading there if the trains are running.
  12. Considering it's one of my smaller pistols, there is a fair amount of weight in pistol itself. I think the weight is evenly distributed between the pistol and the mag. The lightest pistol I have sans Mag is my FN5-7. Even with the Guarder kit, it's incredibly lightweight. The mags are CHONK though, so it makes sense.
  13. Hello all. Apologies in advance for being brash enough to consider this "Latest News" worthy 😉 I am unsure that it was a sensible decision but beyond all logic I have been voted in as the new UKAPU South East/London Rep. I have been a member of UKAPU since around the time of the Pandemic, they helped me with issues importing a RIF and I bought into a gold tier membership soon after and I have been committee "adjacent" for a little while. Most of you on the forum probably know me by now! I had taken a back seat in terms of the forum recently due to the personal circumstances (Divorce, selling all but 6 rifles etc!) But I am now back for at least a little while until I leave the UK in hopefully a year or so's time. I tend to play in London and the Kent area more these days since moving away from Dagenham and to London bridge. I am here to represent the players in the South East, to give advice about South East sites, listen to your issues, criticisms, complaints and suggestions for the future. I have only just been confirmed into the post and I haven't had the official email address setup so far, but I will update this forum post with those details when I have them. For now if you need anything you can just PM me here. Cheers!
  14. The system they use is actually very clever. It's actually a mechanical mosfet as it's very effective at protecting trigger contacts. Obviously it's not really needed these days with the prevalence of smart mosfets. But still!
  15. Say 4-5 years ago, yes £150 would have been just about enough to get started and have a fun time. However with inflation and Brexit related supply issues I would say you need to save more money up to be at least a little competitive. I'd say £225 would be a good start for RIF, Lipo, Decent Lipo Charger and extra mags.
  16. 25% depreciation is only for high end and collectable items. For common stuff I would say more like 50-60% it in good condition. None of this stuff is particularly sought after.
  17. If you want something that works 10 months of the year and has parts availability, then anything Tokyo Marui 1911 based is the go to. Plastic slide to make up for the pathetic gas capacity is the way to go.
  18. I am pretty annoyed at the lack of communication as well. I pay my subs and I don't get even the bare minimum in comms. I missed out on the last AGM due to not even realising it was going ahead. However to be fair, very few candidates stand for positions at all. So most do get accepted by default. Though there was an AGM last year that I attended where we blocked someone who was quite unsuitable due to their dicey past personal relationship with the incumbent.
  19. You can get a white permanent pen marker from Amazon which should do it the treat. Personally I would use white stickers and mark those just so it's not permanent on the mag.
  20. You have to remove the grip and disassemble the motor cage. So not quite as easy as V2, but it's not difficult.
  21. I am definitely on the side of personal choice, wear what you like taking into account your feelings and personal opinions... But people making those choices have to personally take responsibility for their actions, own it and face any potential consequences. Also it makes it far easier to work out who the steaming piles of excrement are if they are public about it.
  22. Both of my Grandfathers served with the British Forces in Cyprus. My paternal Great Grandmother was a member of the SS Frauenkorps. She was never called up to guard the Concentration camps, but they say it was a close run thing towards the end of the war. My Paternal Great Grandfather was a medic in the German Army, but was a pacifist and (quietly was said to be) against Nazi rule. They both fled to Baden Austria when they realised the Allies were going to win the war. My Paternal Grandmother sadly takes after her Mother and is quite Fascist. Once she came to the UK she would have rolled up the rope ladder to prevent anyone else to get in. Very much a case of "F**k you, I got mine". She went on to attempt to become a Conservative Counsellor, but couldn't get elected. However was very active in Conservative party circles in the 80's and early 90's hosting various parties and dignitaries.
