  1. Loose grouping. The G&G green is a good rubber, but as suggested, may be the source of an irritating lack of accuracy. I'll see if the ML can work its magic. Thanks for info!
  2. I do internal style martial arts and have started boxing recently. I find that skipping and punchbag work are as good for cardio as running but a lot easier on the injured leg, whilst taiji keeps joints healthy and supple. High rep, low weight weight lifting is good stuff too, and dirt cheap if you get a kettle bell from LIdl or similar! Food wise, I'm on a low carb high protein diet with no sugar. I do enjoy a low fat scotch of an evening, but mix it with water rather than lard or cola, so it is basically an isotonic sports drink. The advice I would give is to spend on protective gear as you would in airsoft. Decent trainers if you run, decent gloves if you strike. I've too many injuries to list due to duff gear. The thing I find difficult is eating early enough. If I eat a huge healthy breakfast I'm set up for the day, but rarely actually do. I start the day with this ultra quick work out and then a few minutes with the medicine ball.
  3. Apparently, North Korea now has a missile that can hit New York. Frightening stuff. If it can make it there, it can make it anywhere.
  4. Too true. If a marshal can't find the ability to interact with people to the standard required to do their job then they should not be in that role.
  5. Had some new boxing gloves delivered today.  Got some new hand wraps too.

Got home from work at midnight and went out into the back garden all excited to do some heavy bag work with the new toys.  Got in about 2am, drenched in sweat, with not one neighbour complaining.

Given the bloody awful noise I made, I reckon that I can still visibly (and audibly) wallop things a fair old bit.

Seriously though, bloody good workout/cardio for airsoft if anyone's interested.  No matter how good webbing gets, you need upper body stamina for milsims.  Carrying an LMG/LSW needs strength over time.

Anyway, that's my excuse for tonight's antisocial behaviour.

My mum got me some boxing gloves one Christmas.

I said am I having boxing lessons then?

She said no,you're to wear them to bed to stop you abusing yourself! 😄

Abuse? I never looked at it that way  😉

      Regards

  6. I've been chasing an accuracy issue for a while in a rifle with a G&G green fitted. I might try a swap reading this comment. It lifts .28s and .3 fine and seals well, but still worth a try. It's been a frustrating issue!
  7. What a shitshow. Collective punishment is bullshit on literally every legal, and behavioural science level. Apart from that it's old fashioned rude.
  8. Must be secret squirrel level serious if the UKARA police can get involved!
  9. All stuff to consider in most places to think about it. Miles of farmland to play on, but it is still of course commercial/a business premises. Even playing in a private garden could be considered to have a responsible organiser I am thinking? I suppose to some extent it concerns what we are prepared not to do on our own property, due to the possibility of something going wrong.
  10. Four or five mates meeting up on land belonging to one of them, when the business is locked shut, and keeping well away from any machinery etc is fine I am sure. Airsoft in 18 acres of meadows and orchards in the middle of an isolated fen is hardly likely to raise much concern for anyone I hope.
  11. In contrast.... a lad I sometimes play informal games with at a local scrapyard ordered from TG just before they stopped shipping to the UK. No UKARA number yet straight to his door, much to my surprise. No requests for paperwork, no problem at all. Silly situation.
  12. Can't beat a nice green tea with pomegranate and a well jellied pork pie with chilli relish; cold water pastry hard and almost shiny until you bite it in the summer. Failing that a beef and onion pie slathered in Colman's mustard and HP sauce. Quick two fingers of sloe gin in the winter and you've had the breakfast of champions. You'll be ready to take the world on.
  13. I might go for a bespoke 1911 slide to complement my ultra tasteful 'Mutha Fucka' custom grips.
  14. 100% agree. I have an SHS ht motor in my 'fet fitted M4 CQB rifle. Otherwise stock but for barrel/hop unit/rubber/shims. No 13:1 gears though. ROF/trigger response is great. The 'fet makes ALL the difference. Look at airseal first, its a right bugger on some rifles. Then remember the adage that if something mechanical is wrong, it's probably down the last thing you did to it.
  15. For about four decades I was dead on 10 stone fighting weight, then injury (and enforced inaction) and age (sob) caught up and I ballooned. A high protein low carb no sugar diet has me back to normal(ish). Tonight I started back on the heavy bag... I'll be back in black in a few weeks. I feel far better now now as it is. Thoroughly agree Rogerborg!
  16. Sounds more like an episode of that Japanese game show Endurance than airsoft.
  17. I can't stand the look of M4 style 9mm rifs. They just look deformed. A perfectly usable, well thought out platform, but just wrong.
  18. Very true. I like to run as support gunner. I use a 7.4V lipo and chug through BBs. The gearbox etc is well up to higher speeds/voltages; but I don't see the need to send a solid plastic hose at the other team. Two or three round bursts that hit solid cover with a loud smack are usually better at keeping peoples heads down than spraying a solid wall at where their faces may appear. Even if suppressing, you can keep things sensible, sporting and friendly. TBH I usually run my rifleman rifles with the 'fet set to single or double tap and spam the trigger a couple of times if a burst is needed. Kinder to the gearbox than semi and all you need 95% of the time.
  19. I learned to shot with scopes like that. They sharpen up your ability to sight a target both eyes open and take instinctive shots about an hour before dusk. If nothing else they make a modern baseline Hawke or Sterling seem amazing! Looks damn good on your rifle though for sure. Amazing too to think that legendary snipers like Zaitsev used a 3.5x21 with similar crap glass to head shot Germans at 400 yards. We are spoiled these days.
  20. A full weekend of airsoft, Nam style.  Silly pyjamas, primitive weaponry, and up to your bollox in mud.  Great stuff.

Sank a few beers with mates and dragged an LSW around, much to the detriment of my back.  Hooray for Tramadol and gritted teeth.

Now back home clogging up the washing machine's filter with fern stems and mud, and drinking to another victory for Uncle Ho.

    Du ban yankee!  Vhe nha!

      Rogerborg

      Nice one, where was that?

I was so disappointed when a local site cancelled their Nam-film-sim. I had the rice hat and pyjamas all ready to go, specifically in order to annoy any "The NVA didn't wear those!" stitch counters. ;)

      Sounds like fun 👍

That's what I like about nae.

You are out all day walkin',stalkin'👀and talkin' bollocks an shootin' every leaf and branch that dares to move accompanied by shouts of "contact 12oclock!", and " cease fire he's on our side"and "wanker! It's the bloody wind!"

Oh how we laugh till our bellies ache which is fitting as it matches our aching legs and feet.

Then it's back to main arena for drinkipoos and a bit of nosebag and stories of how we each wiped out the entire oppfor single handed that were hiding behind the shivering leaves.

Oh man I so missed it last year ☹

Both of those replies are spot on!

Rice hat, preferably from a joke shop.

      Irate stitch counters.

Mud, water everywhere, with boots still drying out the following Thursday.

Wasting BBs and blue on blue all day.

Pissed and full of dodgy burgers.

      Can't beat it.
