  1. The Mk23 would probably run in Antarctica on Duster gas tbf.

I've used my MWS on Green in about 2 degrees C, but only on semi and not spamming the trigger.

I think Nuprol 4.0 is the gas to use while it is this parky. Not used it myself but there are so many factors coming into play with GBBR use in winter, including, but not limited to: gas type used, gas amount in mag, weather, temperature of magazines, lubrication of gun, gaps between shots...

    A few things -

    • A nifty short silencer from @Samurai for my MK23
    • A few new mags for the the MWS and MK23 (although one's valve is buggered and vents)
    • A TM XL speedloader
    • An angrygun sling plate, which I've now fitted because the castle nut wrench finally arrived
    • The case
    • A Walther 4x scope

I think that'll do for now......
Oh - and a dump pouch and a woodland camo waterproof....

How is that sight working out?!

  3. Is it bad that I *love* my MWS?!

I was getting so bored of sewing machine sounding AEGs which pretty much performed like every other one before it or after.

TM's MWS made it fun again. It made every 'kill' a challenge, every shot a smidgen of adrenaline and put in a degree of unpredictability.

And, because it was from those great bunch of lads in Japan, it was all put together beautifully.

Without that MWS purchase, I genuinely could have seen me falling out of love with this hobby and I am glad I took the leap.

Got a BlackHawk! Coyote dump pouch I could re-home. Attaches via belt loop and I prefer Molle. Let me know.

  5. Genuine, still in original packet Crye JPC MC side plate set for £16.

Crye JPC MC side pull magazine front pouch for £20 odd.

TMC M4 pouches x3 for £20 to go on my newly arrived Crye CVC plate carrier.

And some more Carhartt pants because I watched 'Wind River' again and I want to be Jeremy Renner...

Where have you been looking?  There's tons inbetween if you want actual multicam for a whole bucket less money than Crye.  I do often tell people to get MTP anyway when I get asked because you can't beat it really in terms of maximum value for the money.  However I know personally I've reviewed and written about lots of options in the middle that are pretty well priced and come in real multicam fabric for those who specifically want that for whatever reason.

Leo kolher's good, tru-spec, sometimes 5.11 and there's a few others. As with a anything if you've not dug in to ebay/forum classifieds/FB groups for other gear you'll miss out.  Cryes get sold for well under half retail all over the place; which is still a lot obviously but again a much better price than retail.  Purely as examples I've got a couple of MC items listed for sale myself right now and they might not be your size but if you look at the prices you'll see what you can get if you just take the time to look around (saying this to anyone reading the thread btw, not just yourself).

Yep, this. Plus surplus US Army OCP now increasingly available, from Euro sellers too. I prefer it to MC tbh.

If it’s a real one you got an absolute bargain!

I really did. Has the Bible verse on the side, moulded trademarks, and the tritium illuminates in the dark... There isn't a fibre optic nor batteries. Guy was ex army and selling as it was old... I assume it is about 20+ years old, not that it looks it. Came with a La Rue mount which I am not convinced is 100% genuine, but am no expert. My brother bought the LAW mounted ACOG off of him a few months later for about the same and made a lovely profit on it.
