Chailey site? Were you there yesterday at all?
May be there, either there or one of Ace, Dog Tag or Battle Lakes.
-
Krytac have had excellent reviews in AI and AA - don't get me wrong, I'm not not-rating them - but for me, I'd go for Marui if I wanted an AR-type.
I don't give a monkey's about recoil.
I want a consistently reliable shooter out of the box. The Marui magic is still strong.
-
I know if I had £500-600 I'd go for a new Marui...
Horses for courses though.

Ha! No worries, skippers. Just good to see there is a thriving Sussex community.

Be good if us local Sussex airsofters could do a meet at the new R.I.F.T site at Chailey - 14/2/16
I aim to be there with five friends and family...

Okay, so I have a Star Sopmod. It was put away working, and been in it's hardcase for years.
I am paranoid that if used, the (unique) motor will go and it'll be a paperweight.
It has had gears go before but they were not unique to the model.
I have sourced a supplier of the Ares V2 SOPMOD motor - $22 no less - and hopefully over V2 parts.
My query is...how compatible are V1/V2 parts?!
I'd love to use it again but really don't want to irrepairably knacker it.
Cheers.

A second Zippo handwarmer to compliment the one my wife bought me for Christmas plus a Zippo lighter.
And a TAD Gear Overland shirt from eBay.

Without wanting to necro-post, but have been into Crawley Surplus a fair few times in the last year since discovering them, and they are really good guys.
The tech/s working there are spot-on and whilst some of their prices are a bit mad on certain things, others are very competitive.
Had a hold of the Dual-1911 they'd just got in today. Good luck holstering that!
Well worth a visit.

You'd be there inside 10mins! Next game is 14th Feb apparently. Should be there myself with five or so of my posse!

Hi all,
Is anyone able to please step-by-step how to remove the pump grip from the M870 Breacher to replace it with a G&P RAS grip?
Is it an easy job and will I need a special tool for this?
Cheers. -
We have 1 minute long knife melee segments at Ace Combat.
It works well there and the players love it.
I don't like it enough to buy a rubber knife...so I just hide!
-
Combat South are consummate professionals.
CSW is run extremely well and their Christmas skirmish and raffle is outstanding.
The shop is a bit of a treasure trove and yes, customer service is top notch.
CSW rules are 328fps +/- 10% IIRC and there is no Co2 allowed either IIRC. Not sure about sniper FPS.

All you Sussex softers, new site in North Chailey - 1 min or so from me would you believe it - has opened - r.i.f.t airsoft with a review in Airsoft Action this month. Cannot believe it has been open for four months and I hadn't a clue!!!
-
I like both aspects.
I like having AEGs that I don't see anyone else with (or at least rarely) and/or ones I really like - my first cap gun was an Uzi, so I had to get a TM Uzi...I love Bond films, so I had to get a PPK(/S). I love the bank robbery in Heat, so I had to get a Galil...I love Full Metal Jacket and I know I will, someday, own an M60...
As for clothing, I grew up in hand-me-downs and we never had a lot of money for branded clothes. Now that I have a salary, I can save up for some nice gear that also is perfectly suitable for trail walking; which I am getting into as well. So I have invested in clothes that should be durable, functional and tactical if needs be: TAD Gear, Merrell and OPS being the main ones. I loved the look of a PCU jacket, so I wanted one. The fact that it works flipping well in winter swayed my wallet. I wear what is going to keep me warm or cool and most importantly, comfortable. It can be a long old day and the UK weather is, as we all know, and unpredictable madam.
What is great about airsoft, and it echoes others; is that participants are, as a whole, pretty non-judgemental. 'What works for you', is my motto.

Not strictly airsoft - but arguably good EDC wear - Sports Direct (I know...I know...) Selling Levi's jeans for £18.

Save up, get a TM M870 Breacher.
