  1. Well that’s scary as hell , just reinforces my conclusion that most police officers responsible for policing the section of the law responsible for control of ‘dangerous items’(wether firearms/knives/etc) any workable knowledge about the subjects there supposed to be the ‘experts’ on ! PS @Lozart , I blame Mussolini he started it all ! 😉
  2. Someone talking out of their arse ? 🤔
  3. border Farce have seized and destroyed and then in formed the plod . Scary thing was he’s from the knife crime unit ! 😳 To be honest he totally threw me when he introduced him self and then straight away said “you’ve been reported too us , so I’m here so hopefully we can clear it up asap” I let him in as I was quite stunned and had switched in to “fuck what have I done this time ?!?!” Mode ! and didn’t think to ask about warrants or the allegation before he came in .
  4. Perfectly worded and perfectly describes the reason why so many have problems after they’ve ‘up-graded’ their guns(especially TM’s) . Eloquently put good sir 👍.
  5. Well I’ve just had a visit from the old bill because I’d been flagged by the Border Agency for attempting to import an ‘illegal offensive weapon’ ! So he introduced himself showed his warrant card and said he was from the anti-knife and gang crime unit , said weapon was a small(blade was just under 3inches) fixed bladed neck knife. he runs through his “knives are bad” speech then asks why I wanted such a deadly weapon ? I then explained that I do collect all kinds of different knives (at this point you could see him giving the “not THAT old chestnut again !” Look)so I showed him some of my collection , that are mounted inside deep picture frames on the wall of the dining room/chill out/music room So you can see but NOT touch ! Then showed him a few of my very expensive ones(that cost hundreds of pounds each)by now you could see he was getting a bit “err he’s not who I thought he would be ?” Look on his face probably because where I live is considered an economically deprived area (which happens to be very close to work for me and the mrs AND the houses are relatively dirt cheap , so bit of a no brainier really !)he then starts muttering about knife crime/knife laws so I replied in a calm and I’d say respectful way with the appropriate legislation ref knife ownership and how you may or may not use or carry a bladed implement in the UK AND what are legal/illegal to own let alone carry , so I mentioned Butterfly knives , punch daggers , button release knives at this point he looked at me and said “button release ?” , “the ones with a spring inside that sends the blade out when you push the button ?” he goes “oh you mean a flick knife”(flick is just one of several different types of spring assist knives) ! Any way long and the short of it I got a slight slap on the wrist and told I mustn’t import prohibited weapons . As a passing question I asked him why was it considered prohibited when I’m buying it from abroad but I can quite legally buy the same knife in the UK and only reason I was buying from over seas was its out of stock in the UK ? His reply ? “Oh the UK shops have a licence to import and sell them you don’t ” WTF ! 🤦‍♂️
  6. But you haven’t got THE classic Beretta , the M9/92F .you need one !
  7. ARSEHOLE ! Many many Airsofters talk through theirs so one would think you could breath through it as well ? 😉🤣🤣🤣
  8. The problem with respirators and physical activity is no matter how good an airflow you have it’ll just never keep up with the heat exchange needed to avoid cooking your head in it ! 🤯
  9. Totally agree with this point , I do try and buy from a core of online retailers that I’ve had good customer service from even if they are marginally more expensive than others . Take ‘Bullseye country sports’ for instance they drive me demented how much of their inventory is always ‘out of stock’ BUT I still go back to them as A; they have a very good turn around and B; the two occasions I’ve needed to contact them with an order problem they’ve gone above and beyond to sort it asap , and to be honest ultimately that’s all I want from a retailer .
  10. I’m looking for peace on earth and a unicorn , neither imminently on the horizon for me ! so try here ; Link
  11. You can buy actual AIRSOFT safe lenses for them , but as big stew said I guarantee you’ll be sweating like a pig in a Mosque if you wear one to play Airsoft . 🥵
  12. Couple of yrs ago at the NAE ‘car boot’ a couple of young very suntanned guys with issue haircuts flogging a shitload of Blackhawk! Gear still in the packaging , put a nice bundle together must have been clocking 300🦑’s worth retail , asked how much he said 200 so I came back with “200 ? that’s a bit steep does Lizzie know you’ve been raiding her store cupboard ?” . “Tell ya what call it a ton and I won’t have a clue where or when I bought it all , work for you ?” AND he just grinned and said “sounds like a deal to me !”😉 like I said 90% of squaddies will have the fillings out of your teeth if they think they could flog em ! 🤣🤣🤣
  13. Many moons ago when the subject was being discussed the general consensus was the previous point about retailers getting around the VCR and even to use the most hackneyed of excuses for bad play “but we are just grown men running around shooting each other with toy guns !”🤦‍♂️ They REALLY do look like toy guns and stand out like a pimple on a babies arse ? As to pulse rifles/UAR’s/etc they are facsimiles of supposed real guns and to none gun nut members of joe public that’s what they are ?
  14. He sold stolen high value military kit very true BUT he wasn’t the one stealing it was he ? having served I can quite happily say the military are absolutely atrocious at securing kit and 90% of squaddies are thieving barstuards given half a chance when it comes to other peoples unattended kit and would happily sell the gold fillings from your teeth if they saw the opportunity !😆 He was the middle man(no excuse for what he did) but he served his time chapter closed . immaterial of whether the UCAP ‘rules’ are good or bad they’ve ALWAYS given a reason why and stuck by them , not many sites do that . with BFG’s it’s just you don't chuck it in a room and then immediately go straight in shouting your coming to get your ‘nade back !(think it’s safe to say we’ve all seen this happen🤦‍♂️) you just have to wait a couple of minutes till the gameplay has moved on from that point before you retrieve it .
  15. Valid point , but you’ve got Socom amongst the most expensive and there not exactly a ‘one man in a garage’ retailer ? and then you’ve got Kimbers Kit (who I’d never even heard of before) selling at £1.25 cheaper than Socom ? If you expand these price differences up to AEG prices your moving in to the realms of 60-70-80 or even 100’s of pounds difference between the prices . Still looks a bit like a “pick a number between 1-10 , now times it by 4 , now takeaway your starting number , now divid by 3 , now forget that number and charge what you want !”😳
  16. We’ve all seen the variations in the price for the same product from different retailers but last night was looking for a couple of taco ‘style’ pouches for SMG mags , I settled on the ‘Kombat extended pistol magazine pouch’ and really saw how bad it can be ; 9th place(and should be very proud of it) Fubar Bundy , only £4.96 . 8th , Bullseye country sports £5.29 . 7th , Kimbers kit military supplies £5.75 . 6th place there’s quite a few , Bomb up Airsoft/Platoon stores/Just Paintball/Airsoft World/Surplus store/Only Airsoft all £5.95 . 5th place and with quite a jump in price a couple of joint holders , Airsoft Operator Box/Coldbore Airsoft/Back Alley Army Stores/Kombat UK all £6.95 . 4th (just) , EagleSix £6.98 . 3rd , Socom Tactical/Tactical Airsoft/Urban Airsoft £7.00 . 2nd , TSAIRSOFT £8.00 . And in 1st place and the winner of the award for price gouger of the year(so far anyway ?) goes too ? LEICESTERSHIRE AIRSOFT for charging £9.99 each ! 😳 AND this is without even starting on the P&P cost which all where £4.95 and upwards unless you chose ‘pick up in-store’ or they had their own or were linked to a site where you could collect it your self so there would be no charge(there’s kind of them !🤦‍♂️) So for me this does say a lot(and I don’t think you can’t use the excuse of low turnover/niche market due to the market place presence of some of the higher priced retailers) , ‘gouging’ or not ? Up to you to decide .😉
  17. Way back when the VCR kicked in the very same small group of retailers who really pushed for the UKARA scheme to be the only way to be able to buy RIF’s , which would basically allow them to control the market(allegedly of course) once it was in place THEN turned around and created Two-tones to circumvent the UKARA scheme so they could still sell cheap ass CAR’s (Chav Assault Rifles) to the unwashed masses ! UCAP took a stance over it and have stood by that stance and I’ve always supported them for that .
  18. Glad I’m not the only one ! AND don’t get me started on upside down pictures !🤬🤬🤬
  19. Not able to cut and grind one of those down ? Many moons ago that’s what I had to do with an M14 scope mount so I could do a Vietnam ‘themed’ build with a knackered old scope that had built in dovetail mounts on it . Edit , quick image ruffly what I did .
  20. Well , that looks weird as fornication ! 😳 AND I love it ! 😍
  21. Definitely a dreamer , unfortunately his time and effort aren’t worth diddly squat when your NOT a professional woodworker , as good an effort as it is(which it is) it certainly doesn’t look like a professional woodcarvers work by any stretch . £800 ? nope sorry bud but your way off the mark with that one .
