I subscribed to AA for year when first began airsoft, trying to soak up information, but with niche hobbies, there was not that much content to make it worth renewing subs.

I was going to write an awfully long post ranting about my former roommates not paying the rent on time, but I was getting too tilted (at one point I was about to cry) while typing.

Yep, same reason to maintain your nightvision when you look outside of cockpits.
 
On a different topic, where are you playing these days now Urban is dead and gone?

Red is also the colour that fades first underwater.
When I dive and go past 15/16 metres of depth all the red coloured thingies like corals and starfishes become grey-ish until i shine a torch on them.

I guess it's because of wavelenght or some physical theory I can't be arsed to research.
But basically red light doesn't "go very far", let's you see what's directly in front of you (1/22 metres tops) and because of that, people further away won't be able to see anything but the source itself (LED or light bulb). really useful for night games if you can't afford a £2k NVG set.
I use red lights when camping for when I still want to retain my mk1 eyeball "night vision sight" but at the same time be able to read a map or look what I'm stepping on.

TL;DR
to be able to see and still remain somewhat stealthy

The best way to describe it is that the light "dies" a lot sooner than white light.
 
So a red torch will help you see the immediate area, but won't illuminate around the corner and down the corridor to tell potential enemies where you are.
 
Same thing with my green torch, but green is a bit brighter than red.

I'm proud to say I worked on the entire shop re-fit and built everything you see apart from the glass cabinets Dave bought. 
 
That coke machine took about 4 days of solid work between me and one of the other lads! 
 
Obviously I do, but my boss also loves airsoft and we knew Dave before he moved into his new unit. So we were really chuffed working on a project so heavily associated with our hobby!

Mixed feelings. Will write a site review up later for it. For a once or twice a year site great. But for a regular cqb fix I would use battlestations at snetterton.

Whatever's happened, it seems to be back up and much snappier now.
 
Which probably means it's been rehosted on a Raspberry Pi in Russia and is harvesting all our datums.

Don't actually think I've taken mine out the box since February life has suddenly got in the way.

Should be fun, Overall hasn't cost much at all as ryanair flights were dirt cheap and accommodation split between the 6 of us going works out at nicely as well. We've also hired a mini bus for the weekend to get around in. I'll post photos up on a thread when I get back. 8 week countdown begins!
